1. Roll all five dice with:
2. Reroll (if desired) by declaring (unambiguously!) which dice are being kept and rolling fewer dice accordingly. For example, if one keeps two dice, one declares the dice in question and, in the same post, includes:
2a. If one rolls the wrong number of dice, ignore the result and reroll with the correct number.
2b. "Static" die rolls do not count. Nor do die rolls in edited posts.
3. "Quote" the latest score table, delete the quote tags, and edit in one's score into the appropriate cell. For example, if one has (2, 3, 4, 6, 6) after the third roll, one might edit "2" into the "Twos" row, or "0" into the "Full House" row.
4. Update totals and post.
Thus, each turn takes between two and four posts, depending on how many rolls one makes.
Tournament Rules
Each round of the tournament will have five contestants, including the champion of the previous round. Signups will be continuous, with no player included more than once in the queue to play. Standard play will be
up to three days per move for all players
. No turn order will be enforced; instead, each player will be expected to post in the thread at some point to make their move.
Players who miss one three-day period will be allowed to play two turns the following period to catch up. If a player misses a second consecutive period, I, the mod, will make
one roll
, which I will then score as whatever gives the highest score for that one roll (thereby leaving them, once again, with two turns to take). A player who misses a third consecutive period will be removed from the round.
On the other hand, if all players complete their move before the expiration of the period, the countdown will be reset and the next turn shall begin immediately. Thus multiple moves may be made per three days, if players are active.
The exception to the above shall be when one or more players has announced an absence of or goes V/LA for up to two weeks. In this case, first, the absent player shall be allowed to make up all moves missed during their absence, and second, the non-absent players shall be allowed to begin a new turn when both all non-absent players have moved and at least 48 hours have passed since the beginning of the turn.
At the end of each tournament, the scores shall be recorded and the winner declared. A high score list shall be kept in the topic post.
