What if I do the classic 10 page sample catch up

Spoiler: Page 1
Dionysus' is scummy. BBT's would be +town if he hadn't voted Dio before .

Spoiler: Page 2
KawaiiKame and skitter30 feel +town, patchwork null

Spoiler: Page 3
BBT reads +town. I don't think Dionysus' explanation is +town.

Spoiler: Page 4
patchwork reappearance is null/scum I think, they feel a bit reactive.

Spoiler: Page 5
Hadriaan is a tricky read. Null/town I think. Black catch up looks +town.

Spoiler: Page 6
patchwork's posting is +scum, looks quite reactive/beetlejuice/active lurking. Empathice entrance looks +town in its boldness.

Spoiler: Page 7
Empathice +town. Dionysus and patchwork +scum.

Spoiler: Page 8
patchwork's defence is unconvincing. Dionysus' reads have patchwork as a scumlean, but doesn't vote them even though they're at E-2 or something. And the list below leaves out patchwork.

Spoiler: Page 9
patchwork continues to talk primarily about themself, +scum.

Spoiler: Page 10
The VC has both my scumreads at E-2, neither voting the other, which looks promising. patchwork's readslist has Dionysus second from bottom, mirroring Dionysus' read on them. Then their interaction with Dionysus voting patchwork only after skitter unvoted.

Page 10 reads: It's Dionysus and patchwork.

Catch up part 2: p11-20

Spoiler: Page 11
Why does Dionysus keep winking and finding everything funny? patchwork's , where it's about players in the game, is mostly about themself. I obviously agree about pronouns (btw Black you go to user control panel in the top right to set your pronoun). However I think patchwork's content is lacking in the main in terms of having and pushing scumreads. Hadriaan's looks ab= bit safe in a +scum way, he isn't really pushing anyone in the post.

Spoiler: Page 12
Hadriaan looking at past games is +town. Dionysus' push on patchwork is making me confused, it's uncharitable in a scummy way but patchwork's post isn't towny either. Black's posting is +town, moving the game forward. patchwork still feels +scum to me for posting almost entirely about themself.

Spoiler: Page 13
Dionysus prodding lurkers looks LAMIST. Black and skitter still town. Empathice's reads look really good.

Spoiler: Page 14
WMFM isn't a strong tell yeah. I was pushed a lot in my first game as town and asked why a lot. Dionysus' explanation for voting Herta on page 1, while believable, isn't +town. You can impulsively vote someone as scum - he might have thought it would look town to do so.

Spoiler: Page 15
from Dionysus looks very self-interested. Black, town can tunnel. I think Empathice is town with a strong read. is very weird in its reasoning and conclusion, and doesn't seem to follow up on calling Hadriaan 'lurkscum'.

Spoiler: Page 16
skitter and Black are very town. I think Black is scumsiding.

Spoiler: Page 17
Empathice is insightful, +town. Kawaii feels quite open which is +town. I can see scum motivation for BBT's posting. I can never really read BBT though.

Spoiler: Page 18
Empathice wanting the thunderdome is +town. Dionysus feels a bit weaselly. Kawaii readslist looks town. BBT limpool is ok.

Spoiler: Page 19
patchwork's pop-in is really scummy. No pushing, openly just having no scumreads and being unsure is +++scum.

Spoiler: Page 20
Yeah the patchwork/Empathice interaction is weird.

I'm stuck on Dionysus and patchwork. In more detail though:

reads
Black, Kawaii, skitter

Empathice

BBT

Hadriaan

Dionysus

Patchwork

If I'm right, then Black and Kawaii need to change their votes. BBT is convinced Dionysus is town, and patchwork won't hammer a partner.

I'll have to ISO patch to really confirm that because I can't remember all that well. Using this logic...Empath has only pushed one newbie player over an RVS mistake so how is that town behavior at all?

Empathice has pushed Dionysus hard.
But that's literally all he's done this game? Like, extremely minimal interactions with any of the other players. And the push on Dio is entirely based on a mistake that could come from newtown. That's the case and Emp admitted that's all he has on Dio. He even said there weren't any weird vibes or anything...it was just the RVS mistake

I know I'm pretty new and not very good at the game but this can't be town behavior. You TRing Emp so hard concerns me
Pushing someone hard can be town behaviour, and Empathice has given other reads to boot.

It wasn't towny, it was them trying to re-use the old 'you TRed me and it was weird' leverage trick that they pulled earlier, in .

My problem with them was the same as yours. Lots of reactive stuff, a lot of fluff, no active hunting. I had to push hard for even a simple list of reads.

But since they have finally started to engage and actively give their thoughts on the game.

I'm not saying they're town lol. They're just not my first sr anymore.
This isn't an adequate explanation btw, I'll explain why later.

Catch up pt 3: Chasin' the Masons (p21-30)

Spoiler: Page 21
I believe patchwork's to show inconsistent internal logic equivalent to a scumslip. Here's my idea: patchwork believes Empathice's thunderdome (voting one of them/Dionysus, and then the other on a town flip) to be -town for Empathice. But the idea of voting off either both Empathice/Dionysus, or just one if one flips mafia, is only antitown if both Empathice and Dionysus are both town. Dionysus meanwhile persists with the 'lol' and the winking. Here is his ISO from a recent towngame - it's more earnest and argumentative.

Spoiler: Page 22
Kawaii's theory of Dio/Empathice bussing is +town for Kawaii. As for the Mason chasin' (which began p21 but kicks off here), I can see that it's suspect at face value. However, I have seen town ask players similar questions before. I also think it's consistent with Empathice's tunnel on Dionysus and Black's consistent defence of him for Empathice to want to ask something like that. patchwork's tone is all over the place here, e.g. randomly calling Empathice scum in .

Spoiler: Page 23
skitter is town for the defence of Empathice's Mason question. Scum would push that I think. Empathice continued insistence that Black will die is strange but town I feel.

Spoiler: Page 24
I'm seeing Kawaii's posting here in a different light now. Vote on Empathice and in particular. Wallflower-type scum potentially. I don't think Empathice is ever scum here.

Spoiler: Page 25
Kawaii's reading is +town but it could be busy work.

Spoiler: Page 26
Dionysus is giving me pause, especially with , which does feel a bit towny. skitter is definitely town though.

Spoiler: Page 27
Furtiveglance seems cool. It turns out my reads have changed slightly.

Spoiler: Page 28
BBT's joke is a bit strange. I'd like to know whether it's what he actually thinks or not.

Spoiler: Page 29
Dionysus refusing to vote patchwork given his progression on them this game is weird, I stand by that.

Spoiler: Page 30
is keeping the flame of Dionysus/patchwork alive for me, because Dionysus' first response isn't to explain why he now doesn't want to vote patchwork, but rather to explain why he used to. And his conclusion of ...what, null? is just really strange.

reads
Black, Empathice, skitter

Kawaii

BBT

Dionysus, Hadriaan

You 'don't townread them', you said.
does that mean I have to vote for them

Serious question

Because "I don't townread" them can mean a few different things between "null" and "scumread"

I know you know this
Right, but your explanation for your progression on them was so weak that you had to back out and go 'I don't townread them'. That's the point I'm making

Please tell me what is town about Emp saying a town player wouldn't be careless with his solves, and then Emp admitting he was careless with his solves but that he doesn't think it's scummy and he wouldn't think it's scummy if he was a bystander seeing himself be careless with his solves? Please
What you've pointed out is a contradiction. Town can contradict themselves. Town can be hypocritical.

EMPATHICE IS NOT SOLVING! AND HE'S TRYING TO SURVIVE BY PIVOTING TO THE WEIRD PATCH WAGON
If patchwork flips town, I agree that it looks bad. But I have so much confidence in patchwork flipping red that I'm not considering Empathice as scum right now.

Then there's their actual interactions, which always seem to have a jokey tone even if they're seemingly quite antagonistic.

Yeah I get that. But if we unvote patchwork now, by the time other people catch up they might not want to eliminate patchwork. Which is something I don't want to risk

They are clearly trying to solve the game from the beginning in a way that they just haven't in this game yet and it is page 52. Like this is not a question of playstyle at all. Their style is very similar in both games. But in one they are hunting scum and in this one they're not.
It is now that I admit my read was partly based on meta, and I fully agree with this.

The thing with BBT is that I really mindmelded with his page 1 and 2 reads. But there's a chance I was subliminally influenced into agreeing

That was my mindset at the time and it probably showed but no, it wasn't a conditional read. Dionysus is individually scummy and playing differently to past towngames (e.g. 2110). I think I've said this before.

Like you actually pointed out how Dion was winking and finding things funny as if you were side-eyeing it and found # scummy. I Also don't like how you say things "aren't +town" instead of "NAI" multiple times in reference to Dion but you don't bother to mention NAI things for anyone else?
If I used the phrase 'not +town' or similar I probably wanted to convey that it was +scum

Calling yourself Empath2 before catching up and following my reads looks really weird also.
This is a Blood on the Clocktower joke - Empath is a role that gets a number - how many of their neighbours are evil. 2 is very rare and something of a meme.

Useful information is being lost in pages upon pages of complete drivel or restating of things that were happening literally 30 pages ago. There is a term for it I think but I can't remember what it is but basically all of the noise and rehashing of same arguments is back for town and good for scum because it causes apathy within town of having to read the same things over and over.

Like, let's get the day done and move on. ISO'ing people again this game is already going to be the most tedious thing ever.
I'm voting on the biggest wagon.

I don't think limming lurky players is the best course of action when there are more scummy players around. The lurk slots always have the possibility of contributing more later. Do you think he's a good option?

It's me, you, bewolkt, and patch. We would need someone else like skitter or someone from the patch wagon to join. We can't have two players at e-1 too close to the deadline because we risk not limming anyone and that would be the worst case scenario
I'm good with skitter being the deciding vote, I've had the same thinking with the 4 v 4, you good with skitter deciding?
skitter could only 'decide' by hammering Empathice in this scenario.

Dio, Kawaii pairs with patch after yesterday. Use your vote smartly.

I'm happy to end this day whenever people come round. Yesterday EOD was garbage and awful.

Dionysus pretty clearly had a guilty on Kawaii, and I should have listened.

Kawaii should be the elimination today, but let's talk first, without voting.

BBT always fits any scumteam by way of deliberately never efforting in a game to keep his meta very bland.

I just finished a game in which Black was scum and it threw me for a loop

There's options really. I don't think Black is the partner though because Kawaii seemed to be pocketing Black, but I'll have to look again at that.
