Who is anxious to roleclaim?
Twister wrote:

They of course should also claim when we're about to lynch them.
What good will that do? If you're ready to lynch them and they role claim is that going to change your mind or make them seem more scummy? If you're the cop and you think you're going to be lynched and you investigated someone the night before and found scum, then your claim will help the next day, but I doubt it will save your own life.
Role-claiming generally is good practice when you believe your lynch is inevitable. If you happen to have a role, you can feed that information before you're lynched, and it is confirmed by your role being revealed upon death. It's not always about saving yourself. However, role-claiming should be the last card in your hand.

There are, of course, other situations where mass role-claiming can be beneficial, such as end-games.

Hi.
Xtoxm wrote:

I think it's the type of thing a mafia would try and slip in casually, as he did, to try and sound town-side...I have been refering to all parties in the 3rd person
Yet, don't you think a townie would say that?
Godot wrote:
I got my eye on you
Xtoxm, his vote was hardly serious, he is just trying to pressure you, he said so himself. Your reactions to his post are concerning, but could easily be dismissed as noob eagerness, so I won't place a vote on you, yet.
Sorry but I'm not quite seeing what's suspicious about his reaction. He's stated he wants the game to move on, and even if he misinterpreted the meaning behind the vote, it's consistent with what he's been saying.

Unvote

Twister wrote: Godot said himself that he was willing to dismiss it as noob eagerness and wouldn't place a vote for him. I can understand someone raising a FoS (Finger of Suspicion), but why do you think Godot's suspicions warrant a vote for him? Your vote for him, especially as an IC (Inexperience Challenged) makes me slightly suspicious. Isn't part of your job as an IC to teach us how to use words like IC and FoS?

UNVOTE: Xtoxm

FoS Kison
1) Lack of better options
2) It looks like he's trying to cast unnecessary suspicion
Godot wrote:I find it hard to see how someone who is enthused by being voted for, whether the game is going slow or not. This, in my opinion, does warrant some suspicion.
Why would scum be enthusiastic about a vote? Why would a townie? That's why I think it's legitimate enthusiasm about the game progressing.

1) I had a random vote. My new vote is placed on someone I find more suspicious. That's how voting typically works, my friend.

2) Yet, contrary to Godot's vote, mine was placed for what I consider a legitimate reason.

Also, I never said that we should only be suspicious of people who I think we should be suspicious of. You're blatantly skewing my words to sound like I'm saying something I never even implied.

Ok, nevermind, Godot didn't actually vote. However, I still find it an odd thing to even imply suspicion over. Your problem is that I took it to the level of voting, which I've already addressed.

Hi,
Godot wrote:Kison: I would say his vote on me is fine if he didn't take something I said out of context and used that as an excuse to vote me. I've said it multiple times that I didn't not say I found Xtomxs reactions suspicious, yet he seems to think that I did and has used it as a reason to vote for me. I do not see where this is coming from. I do not like how he has stretched his evidence to support a vote, I thinking most scummy player here.
Honestly, it's not a very hefty vote. We're still in the early stages of the game. To me, it's just something that stood out, and well, we wanted to get beyond the random voting stages, correct? So there you have a vote. It did do a good job sparking discussion and gain reactions. Those are good things.

On to the point as to whether or not you cast suspicion on your comment to Xtoxm, by saying "I'm not going to vote you
yet
", you imply that what he said bothered you, but not enough to vote. Nontheless, if it bothered you on the same grounds as a vote, just not to that extent, you imply it is scummy. I, however, disagree in that I think it's _not_ scummy, and therefore unwarranted.

Basically, don't take the vote so personally. If you've nothing to hide, the best thing you can do is find who is indeed scummy instead of fight the votes against you.

I shall try and make a list of my own later.

(And now looking closer at her thread, it was Xotxm and not Godot Twister was reacting to). My point is that Twister's reaction didn't match up with his words.
Right. I'm more or less referencing you using it as a defense for me.

Since we aren't being given a vote count, here's one I've come up with.

Code: Select all

Twister (2) : Xtoxm, Thok
Godot (2) : Kison, Sierra
Kison (1) : Twister
Thok (1) : Franzie

Not Voting (1) : Godot

Please correct me if I'm wrong, here.

Twister
: Leaning Scum

+Does bring up some valid points about roleclaiming
-Implies that everyone was anxious to roleclaim.
-Suggested that roleclaiming prior to lynch would not be a good move.
-Finds that Godot's suspicion of Xtoxm is warranted.
-"Saying we should only be suspicious of the people you say we should be suspcious of sounds scummy to me. " - blatantly twisting my words.
*I can see where he was coming when he was suspicious of Xtoxm when he thought he put me at L-1

Xtoxm
: Slight Scum Vibe(not with Twister)

--Oddly placed vote on twister for using the word "our" - Calls it a serious vote.
*Had that outburst where he claimed Mafia. Not sure what to think of this, but worth noting.

Franzie
: Neutral

+Contents of post 43 give me a town vibe.
-95% certain on Thok? Huh???

Godot
: Slight Town Vibe

-Threatened to vote Xtoxm for wanting the game to speed up.
+Took my vote fairly objectively

Thok
: Neutral/Slight Scum

-Only slightly lurkish
-Ignored Twister's defense
*Wanting to hear response to Twister's defense.
*I'm naturally cautious of this guy. :-)

Sierra
: Town

+Raised a somewhat valid point against Thok
+Sparking a beneficial discussion regarding the setup & town tactics to follow

Kison
: Town

+++++++Totally town

Twister really does look bad if you put everything together.

Unvote

FoS : Twister

I believe you need to remedy some of the points I've brought up. As I said before, what you said to Xtoxm about putting me at L-1 does not shine a bad light on you, to me, as I understand what you're saying.

What suspicion?
The fiasco with Xtoxm being happy over being voted for.

I've just reread him and fail to find where he said that. How ever I am half blind and probably missed it so if I could get a quote that would be nice.
He said it HERE. Near the bottom.

I could see Twister/Godot as a scum pair if Twister does indeed come up scum.

Fanzie, Godot, what're your thoughts on Twister now?

He's at L-1. I haven't seen much to really sway my view of him, so my vote will probably be going there.

I'd like to hear from Thok. The guy could be mafia and we'd never see it because he's been letting the rest of us fight. :-)

But I still like the idea of a Twister lynch as of this point.
