{Episode 04 Challenge}
Weight For Me
Hopefully by this point, you and your team have had ample opportunity to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of everyone on the team. Today is another normal challenge round, with the winning team being safe from elimination, and putting the right players on the right tasks here will be pivotal in earning your safety.
In "Weight For Me", two players from each team (called "runners") will race down a track on the beach as fast as they can. The catch? They'll be dragging a whole lot of sandbags behind them, thrown on by members of the opposing teams.
The challenge will work in 2 phases. For phase 1, everyone who isn't running will be piling as much weight as they can onto the opposing runners. We'll call everyone piling weight "carriers". Once your team designates everyone as runners and carriers, the carriers will attempt to collect as much weight as possible by solving anagrams. When a carrier is ready to begin, he or she will be privately sent 100 anagrams of 6-10 letters each. You have 10 minutes to reply with all the words you can figure out. If the 10-minute time limit is exceeded, you'll receive an undisclosed penalty for every second you go over. For every anagram you solve, you will earn 1 pound (453.6 grams) to place on a runner of your choice. If a team has more carriers than another team, the team with more people will only earn weight equal to (anagrams solved * carriers on the smallest team / carriers on your team).
For example, Team A has 4 carriers and Team B has 5 carriers. Since Team B has more carriers, each anagram will only count for 0.8 pounds. If this sounds like a disadvantage, it is not. If every carrier on Team A solves 50 anagrams, that's 200 pounds total for the team (50 * 1 * 4). Similarly, if every carrier on Team B solves 50 anagrams, that's also 200 pounds for the team (50 * 0.8 * 5). What truly matters here is theaveragenumber of anagrams solved on your team.
Once you've finished the anagrams, you are allowed to tell your team how many words you got, butno other information or advice can be given.By the end of phase 1, you must designate in your team thread which of the opposing runners you would like to pile your weight onto. Your weight can be split up however you wish.
In phase 2, all runners will race down the beach. They'll do this by transcribing a random series of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and various symbols on a standard keyboard. You can't simply copy and paste, however, as you'll be reading the characters off of an image given to you. The number of characters given to you will vary depending on the amount of weight attached to you. For every pound, 10 characters will be added to your sequence. Once a runner is ready to begin, he or she will receive their image, and must transcribe the characters as fast as they can. Every incorrect or missing character adds an extra 5 seconds to your final time. Both runners on a team will have their times added together; the team with the fastest cumulative time will win the challenge. Both losing teams will send in one player to the Fortress, where another person will be sent home.
You are not allowed to use outside resources for any portion of this challenge, nor can you discuss weight distribution with other teams.
You have24 hoursto designate your runners and your carriers, but if you get it done faster you can move onto Phase 1, which will also have a24 hourdeadline, including distributing your weights. Once all the carriers have finished, phase 2 will begin, lasting for a final24 hours.This challenge may take up to 72 hours, but depending on completion, may take less time overall.

Adorabebs and Aurathebirb, you've both been voted into the Fortress, and it's time to earn your spot back into the game.
For today's Fortress, you will be working on guiding a robot through a maze. Unfortunately, the robot can only comprehend commands when they're put together 5 moves at a time. Upon beginning the challenge, you will be given a list of possible commands, each comprised of 5 directional movements.
When you are ready to begin, you will receive the maze image as well as the list of commands, starting your time. You will then guide your robot through the maze using the following rules:
- The robot starts on the square of the maze marked "S".
- A command can only be used once.
- You cannotmove through the thick black lines marking the walls of the maze.
- If a command causes you to run into a wall, you cannotuse it, as the robot blows up upon hitting a wall.
- You do not have to use all commands listed; some may be decoys.
- There is only one correct order of commands that successfully navigates your robot through the maze and to the marked exit without breaking any of the above rules.

{Episode 05 Challenge}
No Free Rides
Today's challenge... is not a challenge at all. That's right, it's time for a twist. This episode, every team will send one member into the Fortress, where all three will battle it out, and only one person will emerge victorious; the two losers will be eliminated. There's a few things you need to know here.
First, the winner of this Fortress will be given a lot of power. They can mutiny toanyteam they want, AND they will have control over all three Safety Tokens. Additionally, Episode 6 will be anotherdouble elimination round, where the losing team in the challenge will have to send in two players, while both winning teams send in one. That means holding a Token will be extremely valuable if you're on the losing team.
For the next 24 hours, we will allow all teams to discuss amongst themselves. In case there is anyone itching to get away from their current team,we will be accepting volunteersfor this Fortress. You have 24 hours to privately let a mod know you would like to volunteer. If only one person volunteers from a team, that player will go in with no standard Fortress selection process, but if 0 or 2+ people volunteer, then the selection process will begin as usual.

You've faced a large variety of puzzles throughout this game, but this will be your most challenging one yet. Today's Fortress functions similarly to a standard cryptogram, where each letter in a sentence is replaced by a different letter, number, or symbol. However, this time, each letter has been replaced by adifferent musical note.
When you are is ready to begin, you will receive a link to a 6-second audio file. The sound clip has 33 notes, with any repeated notes representing the same letter of the alphabet. At no point is more than one note playing at the same time. Notes grouped together with no space in between designate letters in the same word, while a rest designates a new word. The sentence you are solving for has no punctuation.
The notes in the cryptogram can span anywhere from C2 to C6. To help you out in identifying which notes are the same, you are allowed to use this online piano to help you out.No other outside resources of any form are allowed.
You have24 hoursto complete this Fortress. Once you believe you have solved the cryptogram, post it in your challenge thread, bolded. There is no penalty for a wrong answer, but you won't be told which letters are wrong, and your time will not stop until you post the correct phrase. The player who solves the cryptogram in the fastest time will remain in the game and rejoin the team of his or her choice, holding the Safety Token, while the two losing players will be eliminated. "I Can" Do Sequences

This Fortress is called "I Can". Prior to attempting the challenge, both players will privately bid in an effort to determine how many integer sequences they can complete within 10 minutes, i.e.: "" There will be a total of 50 sequences provided for the player to attempt. The player may attempt any of the 50 sequences provided.I Cando # sequences.
If only one player reaches their bet, that player will win and the other will be eliminated. If both players reach their bet, whoever had the higher bet wins. If both players fail, whoever was closest to their bet wins. If a tie remains after all the preceding criteria, whoever posted their final answer in the quickest time will win. The deadline to complete the bidding and sequences is24 hours.
The sequences are all integer sequences with one number missing. There will always be at least 7 numbers listed within the sequence. For example in the simple sequence: 1, 2, 3, 4, A, 6, 7. The answer will be 5. The unspoken equation in this sequence is x, (x+1)... Answers will all be whole numbers. No numbers used in the sequence will have more than 5 digits. Once you are ready to begin, contact a moderator and we will send you a list of 50 sequences. Within 10 minutes, you must post the number of the sequence you have chosen to complete, along with the solved variable (ie:#1 A=5). Any sequences given after the 10-minute mark will not count. Any incorrect answers given will deduct 1 sequence from your total.

This will be the most important Fortress yet, as the number of players in the game will soon be cut down from 14 to 11. The six of you competing here were the worst on your team in this episode's challenge, so it's time to see who wins their place in the game. You'll face off against the other loser from your team, and the winner of each matchup will have the opportunity to mutiny to.any team*
*Although you are primarily competing against your fellow teammate, you will also somewhat be competing against everyone else. Once the winners of each of the three matchups are determined, each winner will be ranked by highest number of plurality districts and then time completed. The top-ranked winner of a matchup will be allowed to choose to which team they would like to join - including their previous team. Next, the second-ranked winner of a matchup will be allowed to choose to which team they would like to join. Finally, the third-ranked winner of a matchup will be offered the same choice. Please remember that as stated during the challenge, during this selection process, no team may gain more than 5 players at the end of the selection process. Additionally, if two or more people holding a Safety Token end up on the same team at the end of the selection process, then the lower-ranked players must relinquish their Safety Token and assign it to a member of the other tribe (more than likely their old tribe).
This Fortress issemi-live.This will also require image editing software and an image uploading website as well. When you are ready to begin, you will be given a map containing 40 red dots, 40 yellow dots, and 40 blue dots. You must draw lines segmenting the population of dots into 12 districts of 10 dots each. Your goal is to make it so there is a plurality of red dots in as many districts as possible in the fastest amount of time. You may split a dot between two districts, with that dot counting as .5 dots in each district, but you cannot split more than 2 ways. If there is a tie between multiple colors for the plurality in a district, that doesn't count as a win for either color. If you draw a district to contain more or less than exactly 10 dots, you will have one controlled district taken away from your score for each improperly drawn district.
Once you are confident with your submission, post it to stop your time. The winner in each matchup will be the player who successfully gave the Red dots a plurality in the highest number of districts, with time acting as a tiebreaker. Biohazard
For today's team challenge, we'll be playing a high stakes game of musical chairs! We will all be travelling to a chemical wasteland where there are only a few safe houses available with fresh oxygen! During every round, players will look at the map and determine which pathway to safety they would like to take. If a player is the first one to encounter a safe house, signified by a biohazard symbol, they will occupy it and breathe in all the beautiful organic oxygen that is inside! If a player encounters a safe house, but someone else is already there, they will continue on their chosen pathway until they find an empty safe house or all safe houses are taken. At the end of each round, 2-3 players will find themselves without a safe house and will be deteriorate in the chemical biohazardous wasteland. Then we do it all over again! Each round will remove 2-3 players until only one team remains. So if you have fewer players, you don't need to find as many safe houses. Also players from the same team are not allowed to travel along a specific pathway simultaneously, and a player must wait until their teammate finishes before they may step onto a pathway. To makes this even more difficult, players are only granted a limited amount of energy for this entire challenge to amble about. The longer you walk to find a safe house, or the faster you run to a fast house, the more energy you expend. As such, it will be important for players to save enough energy for the final round, because if a player does not have enough energy to make it to a safehouse, the other players will likely beat them for the final spots.
Each player will begin with 300HP at the beginning of this challenge. All players in a round will begin at the star. The stopping points in the map are the letters on the map. Many stopping points are also safe houses, and are signified by the biohazard symbol. Players may then travel to an adjacent stopping point by travelling along a pathway that connects between two spots. Each line on a map will have an energy number expenditure attached to it. To walk along the line, players must agree to spend that amount of energy to travel along the pathway. Additionally, each player may choose to travel by jogging or running along the line. This will allow the player to travel quicker along the line, but will also expend more energy. Jogging means that you will double the amount of energy required to travel along the line. Running means that you will triple the amount of energy required to travel along the line. Each player will give a pathway solution in which they will determine which safe houses to check and in which order. Players may only travel between stopping points by using the given pathways between the points just like travelling along a normal map.
After all submissions have been submitted, orders will be processed along a timeline with 1 energy being spent for each "game minute", as such, those travelling quickly will move over more distance quickly (30 seconds per 1 unit energy for jogging. 20 seconds per 1 unit energy for running). If two players arrive at a safe house at the exact time, then neither will occupy the safe house and will move onto the next move in their sequence. Failure to submit means that a player will automatically be without safe house and will be eliminated that round. Players may also enter "pauses" into their sequence if desired, but must denote how long a pause (in increments of 10 seconds). Players may be forced to automatically pause as well if a team members is currently on their desired pathway and has not finished the pathway. If after processing an order, a player has not reached a safe house, then they will be eliminated. As such, it is important that players attempt to include all safe houses within the order to ensure safety. Once a player has reached a safe house, the remainder of their order will be ignored and will not be required to expend any further energy for that round.
Teams are also acting on a non-compete clause, because team members should be polite and support each other. Also, too many egos can't be in the same spot. As such, no two players from the same team can travel along the same segment at the same time. While a player is moving along a travel segment, a teammate cannot step onto the segment until the first player steps off the segment. If there's a team member already on the segment you would like to travel along, you will not move at all until your teammate has finished. If two players on the same team land at a space at the same time and wish to begin travelling along the same pathway at the same time, the order of operations is as follows:- If a player does not have enough energy to move along the pathway, that player will remain and allow their teammate to go first.
- The player moving fastest (run vs jog vs walk) will go first along that pathway.
- If all else equal, the player to move first will be randomized.
All players still in this challenge may talk with members of any team. However, once a player has been eliminated from a round in this challenge, they may no longer communicate with other players about strategy or coordination.

If multiple players arrive at a safehouse simultaneously, we go to the next step in your order no matter what it is. If there is no further steps, you would be out. A safehouse is not claimed until it is solo occupied. Once a safehouse is claimed that player just chills there until the end of the round and does not expend further energy and all further steps in that player's order will be ignored.Sup, later.-

If you are required to wait for a teammate to get their fat ass off a pathway for you to start, you do not need to indicate the pause. It will just be automatically added in. However if for example two teammates start walking to c from the star, it will be randomized who goes first unless a player pauses at the beginning.Sup, later.-
