Nominate the town of Mini 1323: Storm of Songs for Best Town Performance

It was a 9:2:2 setup. The odds were already against them. Cop got taken out N1, the odds were still against them.

They lynched scum 3/4 times, the inventor gifted 2 town members successfully, and the vig made a clutch shot against scum to seal the victory. This wasn't a scrub scumteam, either. It took some good play to outplay them.

She was on me every step of the way to get my stuff done on time, and the process seemed so smooth and easy.

Nominate DGB for best 3rd party performance for her role as Nicolas Cage in Gay Mafia II: Harder, Thicker, Longer

She was the lone Serial Killer in a 25 player setup. She had to deal with an FBI Agent who was trying to track her down, vanillaizers, dreaming gods, confirmed townies, vigilantes, and more, and still came out on top. Granted, she was bulletproof, so that helped, but that was to counterbalance the sheer amount of power out there for town & scum. She managed to get

lynched in endgame, shot the last scum correctly,

and

even in the final night the last scum had no idea she was the SK. Really impressive.

I laughed for awhile, that was completely fabricated by him and thought up in his head. Really funny.

Yeah, the idea of Mod Mason came from the role me/Fate had in the last Mind Screw game. Granted, the powers used here were different, but certainly a similar idea.

Nominate Nuwen for Best Third-Party Performance for her play in The Reckoning II: Invitational

She was a lone Serial Killer with a one-shot bulletproofness in a town of 16 players, packed to the brim with power roles and mechanics that could easily screw her over. She managed to work together with the town to lynch the scum back to back to back, meanwhile killing off even the slightest threats, landing her in a three person LYLO where both of the other two players thought it HAD to be the other, and that there was NO WAY Nuwen would be the scum/SK/whatever. There was certainly a lot of lurking in this game, but I think Nuwen played around it beautifully. Take into account the fact that one day, a mechanic made the town vote on who was more town: Nuwen, or the player who actually instigated the mechanic. Winner got a bulletproof vest, and guess what? The town UNANIMOUSLY chose Nuwen to win it.

to not only judge the first half of the awards NOW, but come back at the end of the year to help the 2nd Half group judge the final categories.

Nominate the scumteam of Micro 0xFF (255) Sabotage Mafia for Best Scum Team Performance

BROseidon & ETL steamrolled us this game with some great play. They managed to thief a weak neighborizer ability, then BROseidon used the ability to suicide into his scumbuddy so the scumbuddy could claim the kill and become "confirmed town". We considered every option in LYLO: me, zipperflesh, and XScorp all as potential scum. But not once did we consider that ETL had her buddy suicide into her to secure the win. Quite fantastic play.

Exceptions should be made on a case by case basis IMO. No flexibility is old people shit.

Then we're having to deal with a very large grey area and some unhappy people. "Why did my game not get in for 2013, but this one that ended like two days prior did!?"

The real reason we even leave the thread open after Jan 1 is so that any games that finished in the last week of December or so can get nominated.

If we try to do it on a case by case basis, then it's just asking for some people to be excluded because it's way too objective.

Plus, why does it actually matter if a game is judged in the following year or the previous year? Fuck, Gay Mafia II was run in 2012, didn't end until just after 2013, and it's in the running for some awards this year.
