You should definitely swap with me so I can kill people with the death note tonight.
I known it seems silly but consider the following pros and cons.
Pros
- If I am VT, it frames me and you appear innocent.
If I am a Kira follower, I would kill a townie and you would be fine.
If I am a power role, I'm likely killing a townie instead of whatever I'm supposed to be doing.
The frame is permanent.
It would be funny.
Literally noone would believe you actually did this and I would likely be limmed tomorrow for claiming it happened, assuming I am town.
Cons
There is an incredibly low chance you die to your own Death Note, although this would be a funny outcome.
You don't choose who dies n1.
Pros seem to be outweighing the cons here.
And I got my fanciest pen <3
i usually just glide over setup-talk/setup-spec only because its not a strong suit of mine. i try to stay out of it at all costs.
I believe it's just better to stay quiet of all costs bc we dont want scum getting any more information.
This one kinda hates this stance, trying to just coast by silent and passing it off as "it's preventing scum from getting info!" gives me very bad vibes. Progressing my RV on Mala to a genuine vote.

I am the type of player who hates people that openly rolefish or even talk about setups that could give others information. Granted with no flips it does make the game a bit harder for either alignment, but to openly discuss what skills etc someone could have just helps scum imo.
so i rather go scumhunt rather than deal with pages and pages of setup spec
so feel free to vote me i don't really care nor am i scared because you won't gather enough votes to lim me b/c its an empty case
so wake me up when setup spec ends
If you'd rather scumhunt then do that then. Nobody is forcing you to engage with the mech.

The problem is scum that isn't kira is always going to claim detective and our best option for counterplay is going to be limming them anyway, but that means we are risking losing the actual detective.

Resistance =/= Correct. As an obvious example, pushing a confirmed Cop is going to get you a giant pile of it. I actually agree with Gimli for the initial reas of the situation. Tonally you were pressing reason why not to kill Kawaii while also not explicitly defending them. Scum partners obviously don't want each other dead but don't want to be openly proclaiming the other as town in case of a red flip. Obviously that's much less so with scum being mostly uniformed and I don't think your play afterwards leads into being a kawaii partner, but I also had the same initial thought reading throufh it.

It seems like if what you were saying is true that should mean we should be working to be good on hitting scum.

It feels like kokichi thinks I'm blindly agreeing with gimli because I townread them. When in realitt that's backwards and I'm townreading gonli becauae I'm agreeing with what they are saying.
Otherwise it feels like Kokichi is scumreading... having town reads? Or at least defending them which seems pretty silly.
Honestly I think this kind of reasoning is much more towny than people trying to come up with some bullshit and put some mafia terms in it lol
Like what even is this opinion? Do you really believe this or are you joking again? I don't mind people that play to have fun but this type of playstyle is just not good for the town. No solving, all jokes. We can't even tell when you're being serious
My 2 cents on it;
Half the genre is 'social' in social deduction. I don't think there's a valid argument where Lorne isn't contributing, they've said their thoughts and engaged with other players. It's a completely valid as a way to play and part of playing mafia is adapting to playing with people of very different personalities. If people want to play like this to enjoy themselves I see no reason why they shouldn't.

Personally I don't think I'd have posted that as kira, but I don't think it would be unreasonable to assume that I would.
I don't want to lim Black today, becoming more open to Gimli as their more recent stuff has felt odd but still don't want that currently.
I probably should ISO kawaii/ Mala but the latter feels townier from what I recall reading of the two.
HPE O don't really have resistance to as a wagon but I don't think there's really a reason to suspect there

Overall your feel has been fairly 'off'. I didn't like the initial Gimli push because it felt like you were attacking someone making a completely reasonable argument for making that argument. Additionally, it feels partially like you are trying to shade my slot by putting words into my mouth about my vote on you in rvs and how I should absolutely know you were town on page 5 or whatever it was.
It does feel like there's some genuine solving which is why you aren't fully in the red yet but a lot of the solving feels really dubious and easily scum motivated. It's hard to weigh between the two.

FMPOV there's very few scum pairings I think are likely where gimli is Kira, (Like kawaii/std as followers? Probably not kokichi/black/lorne/?HPE?, maybe mala ig)
They seem a bit.. unhinged? They felt very static earlier like a tunneled townie but it's harder for me to justify that as time is moving on.

I suppose there isn't a lot of singular posts to grab for it, but he goes back and forth amongst others in ways that feel genuinely curious for the motivation and is pretty actively engaged with players in the game and their thoughts.
You can argue scum do this but usually there's some degree of discrediting/vanity within that doesn't feel very present. (There's a little, but that's generally normal)

std doesn't feel unhinged in my eyes, why std as a follower of Gimli? Feels interesting

So me scumcasing Gimli which led to others casting doubt on him is not solving?
It feels like a bad push with bad, possibly scum motivated reasonings. That's how it reads to me, other's reactions to the case being different doesn't really matter to my thoughts on it.

Me too, but in a kira!gimli world it'd make us more likely to be aligned.

Std Iso feels tonally town which is something but not much. Malakittens feels within range to be kira but I don't think it would end the game.
Kame Iso better on reread, still unsure exactly how to parse the slot. UNVOTE:
Vander feels -possibly- Kira by circumstance alone. Merits further looking into.
In general most people are above average towny so I'm having trouble trying to narrow down poe with a degree of confidence.

I am defending since I feel it's genuinely town, I want to eliminate who I see as town so I can find Kira, I don't see Gimli as Kira, I was down to eliminate Gimli at one point when he was pursuing me but my mind changed as his mind changed on me...
