you said you are "stopping a lynch". if it works, do we still get a lynch, or do we just go to night phase? if we just go to night phase then you just handed a 3 player scum team the game. which is moot if ell is town, but there's a good chance he's not. however, if we still get to lynch, then i don't see why i can't then move my vote. but whatever. we do need the mod at this point.

Scouts talk for awhile, then decided that Elleran must be the cookie thief.

The scouts walked up to the Scout Leader Delicious Delly, and informed her of their decision.

"I'm sorry, Elleran, but majority rules. It's the rule #1 of the Cookie Scouts."

The cookie basket was lowered from the Basket Tree, and Elleran's cookie was quickly disposed of by the Scout Leader.

Going through his things in the cabin revealed him to be

From the role PM, players should quickly realize that the "Role Names" are officially given, but not the roles.
Also, name and the adjective always started out with the same letter, and no roles shared a letter.

Additionally, Mafia were not given any safe claims or a sample PM. In order to balance this, I sent out multiple versions of WinCon and switched few things here and there throughout the Town PMs.

Scum has two ways to find out names every night (Sneaky Steve + GC), and in my playtesting, they usually had the entire town roster by the beginning of night 3. (faster in this game because people claimed early on)

Role Names were loosely related to what each of the roles did.

Balancing Act


Hated Townie couldn't be voted by one of the players.
Voteloss mechanic didn't work if Hated Townie was lynched.

Those two factors moderated the roles bit more into normalcy.

Vengeful Townie + Extra Life Townie + Suicidal Townie also created some interesting balancing acts, because they had the ability to push Town into and out of MyLo situations.

Brave Bob is powerful toward the endgame, especially if Extraordinary Eli and/or Daring Drew are still alive. (because some of Eli's abilities don't involve going to the Basket Tree, it's almost impossible for scum to fakeclaim a role that fits into both Bob's and Eli's detection, and Daring Drew counts twice every time he uses his ability)

Neighbors weren't controlled by scum, but scum at least knew who GC was going to roleblock every night, and is able to make accommodations for it. (have GC spy on Quick Quinn, who just sneaks out the back door, etc.)

I find her scummy and antitown, and I don't like the way she comes up with my very same idea about andrew, smuggling it as if it was her original content: lurker who pretends to be active.

The other player I don't trust is DJ: as town he is far more active than he now is, I will change my mind if he posts useful content, but I feel he is being an active lurker, too.


@rob: if there is scum in the GC, it is probably you.


That's it. I am waiting for comments on this post, and I will vote for one of my fos tonight when I am back home, about 9 pm german time.
After which, zed flips town, and on the very following day I die. :eek: :eek: :eek:

However, I was a weak player, because after my day1 fail, I was unable to convince anyone to vote my FoS. My bad. I played poorly and I apologise. :cry:

I was hoping I would wake up to a finished game after I saw Furc's vote.
I actually thought Andrew was most likely to vote for Elleran and was pretty sure Darox wouldn't.
I think this game was a lot closer than it seemed, since if Rob had been lynched instead of PI D1 the girls club would have a powerful force for good and potential NKstopper instead of a way for us to RB people and hunt town PRs.
Several players seemed to have good reads at various points, but there weren't a lot of logically strong, forcefully pushed cases against us.
Hungry Harold getting GCed and then suiciding helped us a lot, but I'm not sure how that could have been avoided.

I'm curious whether Andrew actually was unlynchable, the way he described putting his cookie back made him sound only NK immune, so I thought if mylo happened we might get a winning ML on him.

Lew, were you actually a 1 shot vig? I found out your name N1 and NKed you N2 because you might be able to prove Andrew's innocence and make too many clears (and because we didn't want a vig around).

nope, if I were a vig, you would be dead last night. I see from the mafia QT that you thought I would have shot andrew, but I wouldn't have. DJ and you were obviously scum to me after the end of the day, basically because I know DJ when he is town, and he ended up ignoring the case on you in a too evident way.

Unfortuantely, I was only a vengeful townie, a power that becomes mathematically useless once we hit mylo. *sigh*
Used to play a lot, haven't played for like 8 years, would like to play again.

The dead QT was fun to read. Looks like killing Lewarcher was pretty key.
Thanks FakeGod for a cool setup and a fun game!
I particularly like Brave Bob's role; it's mostly irrelevant early but then can shed a lot of light when people start claiming stuff.
And the way Zed/Furc's roles worked together was neat.

my initial read through i didn't pick up furc's vote. it was only when rob pointed out that ell was at L-1 that i realized it was possibly game. i was a bit worried that furc was gambitting, though, and that he didn't really have a vote, but o well. gg scummies!

lew: they convinced me you were a good nk and both rob and llama had put so much effort it in that i wasn't going to argue it. i probably would've went after ell. i thought it was pretty funny how you nailed the entire scum team, though.

Also sounds like a player who might have thought a bit extra about PRs because he is one.
Yeah, I was getting super townie vibes from lewarcher and I figured that scum were as well. Since I couldn't disappear two night sin a row, I figured i'd save it for the next night. In retrospect that was a bad strategy (not just because I died).

FakeGod also let me know that taking my own cookie might look suspicious. I figured that someone had a role of watching the cookie basket (when Elleran admitted to this I knew he was town and those attacking him were scum in the Dead thread). When GCs mentions investigation immunity and other stuff was coming out, I figured that FakeGod setup a multiple partial-cop and partial-miller role combinations. Which is why I made the misleading comment.

Good job to scum. You guys took advantage of the VIs very well and played a good solid strategy of rope-a-doping town.

I was queasy about lynching PoisonIvy. Which I'm now especially confused since her PM lists all three colors. She really shouldn't have resigned herself to being hung like that. Furcolow's shitty, shitty play made RobCapone look town. Honestly, Furcolow is one of the worst mafia players I've ever seen.

@lew: You really should have acted more scummy with a vengeful townie role like that. Damn. I wouldn't have tried to lynch you in a million years.

I wonder why Stigmata left the game as scum?

Also: RobCapone = HopOnMyJoystick? Awesome.
