Bands from all over the world gathered in the anonymous and forgotten fields outside Indianapolis. Crowds roared as the bands entertained them; one after another after another. Each year more people made their pilgrimage to these sacred fields, wanting to experience the ultimate gathering of appreciators of music...
23 bands had shown up that year, a record for Slaxxaroo. The first night of the event was about to commence. The crowd grew silent and everyone dimmed their lights. The glow of the metropolis lit the scene enough to see the person next to you, but not much else. The crowd waited in silence. Suddenly, a burst of flames erupted from the stage, and a band emerged in the center of the stage. The lead singer smiled and walked up to the microphone.
"You Ready?"
The crowd roared.
"Well Okay then".
The band began to play a light guitar riff. Spotlights focused on the band, along with every person in the crowd. The music traveled miles across the empty fields. A light breeze cooled off the anxious crowd of people, and slowly everyone became enraptured by the sound of the guitar. Just as everyone had fallen into a serene trance, a gunshot was heard, and everything went dark. Panicked screams pierced the silence of the crowd, accompanied by the return of the lighting. As the spotlight readjusted to the band, everyone caught glimpse of something in its gaze. The spotlight stopped on the dead body of the band's drummer, bleeding out onto the stage. Not knowing what else to do, the lead singer started to sing.

As he finished the chorus, another shot was heard and the lead singer fell off the stage, his movement similar to that of a ragdoll. He was dead before he hit the ground.

This time, however, the person manning the spot light was ready. Another band, jealous of the band's organizational skills, had shot them point blank from behind stage. They grabbed the mic and began to sing:

While the murderous band was busy indulging in their hubris, a third band rushed onto stage and initiated a fight. Punches and kicks were thrown among both sides. Knives somehow managed their way into the brawl, but in the end there was no clear victor. By the time security was able to break everything up, it was too late. Both bands were injured beyond their playing capabilities. Before being taken off by an ambulance, the third band's lead singer stole the mic and sang:
