Shotty, stop spamming the queue thread. It is for signing up for games, not making inane comments. Come on, man.

I don't think you guys understand that this is not a discussion thread. It is where people post to mod and play games. If you want to discuss, go to the discussion forum. If you want to whore for your game, do it elsewhere. Cluttering this thread with your inane banter just makes the list mods job harder, and its already a pretty taxing job.

Let me introduce
AUCTION MAFIA.

Are you tired of signing up for a game hoping to have a cool ability, only to check your role and find "vanilla" written there? With this game, that problem is gone. Instead of abilities being handed out by the mod, in auction mafia you will bid each day on abilities that you would like to have during the night phase. You will also have the ability to bargain with other players in order to get that really sweet night move you've always wanted.

This signup will use WotC
. Each player who signs up gets 1 veto for the list. That means they may PM me a name of one player on the list that they do not want to play with. If any player gets X player votes, I will inform them that they will be removed from the list.
I must stress that we should keep this kind and professionally. PM me the name. If you post it in this thread, you will love your WotC vote.

I have no idea what that is, heres the ruleset:

How the game will Function:

Bid phase:

1) Players will bid on a variety of abilities to have for the night.
2) they will do so by PMing me an amount above the posted opening bid threshold, I will post the current bid, but not who is holding it, each time a new bid is made.
3) when an ability has not been bidded on for 24 hours, it is sold to the current high bidder. I will post in thread when this has happened, though not who won the auction.
4) bid phase ends when either all players have declined to bid anymore by PMing me this fact, or when three days have passed, whichever comes first.
5) You may bid on, and win, as many abilities as you would like to spend points on.
6) All abilities are only usable for the night phase they are purchased for, unless otherwise stated.

Talk phase:

1) Standard mafia day. Players may discuss and vote like normal.
2) Phase ends when a player recieves a maority of the votes, no lynch recieves majority - 1 of votes, or 2 weeks after the bid phase ends, whichever comes first.

Bargain phase:

1) Players may PM each other attempting to buy abilities.
2) They may use anything at their disposal within the confines of the game (i.e. proxied votes, game points, etc.) . If you have a question about the logistics of how something would work, PM me and I'll let you know.
3) Deals are not final until they have been pmed to the mod.
4) Players are bound to honor any agreement that is finalized by PMing it to the mod. This means if you give a player your vote for the next day, you cannot reneg on that deal.
5) This phase ends one day after end of talk phase is posted.
6) The thread will be left open during this phase for players to make or solicit offers if they should so choose.
7) Players may only be involved in one deal per bid phase

Night phase:

1) Standard mafia night phase.
2) This phase ends 2 days after the end of the bargain phase.

Rules:

1.) Have fun. This is not an option. If you’re not having fun, replace out. I will not judge you.
2.) The mod is always right. Always. Yes, even then. However, if you think there’s some confusion, and it absolutely can’t wait until the end of the game, send me a PM; do not break my game because you died when you didn’t think you should’ve.
3.) Days will continue until a player is killed, or a majority of players vote no lynch during the discussion phase.
4) Due to the nature of lynches in this game, there will be no vote counts.
5.) Feel free to quote your role PM as much as you want, or fake any information in order to gain an advantage. I will confirm or deny nothing.
6.) Do not discuss the game outside of the game thread unless your role allows you to, in which case you may only do it during the specified times with the specified players. This is a modkillable offense.
7.) You’re required to post regularly. I prod after 2 days of inactivity and replace after 1 days of no response to the prod. This rule is flexible if you PM me in advance. Please be mindful, I will not be checking the V/LA thread regularly. That's not my job. If you have posted there, I expect you to send me a PM as well.
8.) Once you’re dead, you’re no longer subject to the previous rule. As a matter of fact, once you’re dead, stop posting. I will permit one simple “bah” post and nothing more. Please make sure that there is absolutely NO game relevant information in this post. Yes, even “go scum” is game relevant. Don’t do it.
10) In the event of a modkill, it will end the day.

Ahhh, my bad. Hold over from my last ruleset where lynches were done by melee combat.

I can't believe none of my reviewers caught that.

Not from the mod.

That's 11 in auction so far. Signups will remain open 24 hours after the 13th person signs up to allow people to WotC if they want.

With magua, I believe that fills Auction. Players will have until 8 am tomorrow to utilize their wotc if they want to. Themarshall is first on the waiting list if someone gets bumped out.

Thanks everyone.
