While I'm not as opposed to it as most of the people who posted here I still think its a dick move. While it does give your faction a free kill with no voting information I think the mod should have killed both the town and scum rather then just replace scum. Keep in mind your also establishing a meta, so now when ever I see you been abrasive in game I'll be thinking your scummy.

I'm very agianst all the black listing occuring.

1. He did something.
2. The mod and some players said that it was agianst how mafia was played on MS.
3. He brought it to MD to see if that was the case and discuss it.
4. He gets multiple blacklistings. Wtf?

I think that him bringing it to MD to see the consenus shouldn't be punished at all. So I'll break ranks with everyone and say thanks for caring enough about what your fellow scummers said to actually checking what the general ruling was.

He got multiple blacklistings because that's not how we want people to behave in our games. Games are meant to be enjoyable.

Note that he brought it to MD to see what is considered acceptable, I don't think that warrents blacklisting. Blacklisting him for behaviour in the game doesn't make sense as he explains the reason he did it then asks if people think its acceptable or not, now if he contiunes to act in the fashion I would understand the blacklisting but not at this stage.

It was all the comments like this that made me bother to respond in defence, I think an entire thread of people just agreeing that SC is blacklisted doesn't help the situation at all.

Being that modkills are an outside element of the game, doing that to someone is so harsh even if it results in lulz :/

It wasn't for lulz, he did it as it gave his side a free kill. The person he did it to has been modkilled in 3 games and replaced out of 2 games in their six games, it was clearly a targeted deliberate move.

Sure a site wide ban sounds crazy, but telling him/her? (dont trust the internet) to lighten up is kinda odd. This is a game site so someone screwing stuff up is going to get people pissed off.

I'm actually mostly serious with it though, I find the idea of the mod flittering player to maximize the fun of the game to be both a terrible idea and terrible modding to the extent that I'd prefer to avoid those games completely.
