Clarification, can scum talk during the draft? This assumes that everyone here has played this set up and would know that nuance as well, right?
Otherwise, I'm thinking choice of number wouldn't be alignment indicative, right?-

I think you're TvT, I can see the town motivation in doubting your claim, but I can also see you're doing something I doubt scum would do.In post 83, DonCorleone wrote:Again, I didn't mean to quote that. I also don't want to overrun the thread with comments at this point, I'm trying to make this alt my relaxed account which hasn't gone tremendously well so far.
Can someone else tell me what they think of Dunn and of my points in 66? I don't think I'm being unreasonable and I don't think he's approaching me in a particularly good faith manner but I might be biased because I'm annoyed he's removed a lot of utility from my claiming.
I don't think Dunn is lock!scum but if you think my case makes sense then I think you should vote for him!

No I just skim a lot and I don't make a lot of hard reads or efforts to fully expound on them.In post 212, DonCorleone wrote:doctor pepper can you go through your thought process more on some of your posts? for instance, regarding me and Dunn, what do you think is the town motivation in doubting my claim? why do you think what I've been doing that makes it stuff scum wouldn't do? it feels like you're also trying to avoid really committing on things while giving the illusion of doing anything, more so than either fark or drew at this point
Town motivation for doubting your claim imo is not wanting a counter claim to come out or a redirect if we had a protective role.
I also think it's weird for scum to gambit this early if they weren't cop. Like it feels like a gambit to catch scum or to attract NKs as well. You're putting yourself out there in a way that scum wouldn't on day 1.
D1 is where a mislynch is most likely and scum want to keep low so you just going out there is why I think you're town-

Liking Melody a lot more now for gut. Initially just thought it was the Drew vote. Maybe I just disagree with your reads, but it seems genuine.
Jackson seems genuine as well.
Turning around on Skitter.
Aldus and Dats seem town but I'm basing it off a previous game and their interactions seem similar.

Dats could be scum here.
You claim to push CSF but like you could have literally pushed half the player base you claim is inactive (not unwarranted but CSF feels like a lazy vote, the slot isn't particularly active and Skitter literally just voted)
Also lol, weirdly enough melody's recent posting has given me gut town vibes. I'm more inclined to read hydra dissonance as townie, I mean it could be faked but idk i feel like it's something I would do in my hydras as well

Okay farkran, I'll try to give you my thought process
I think voting for inactive players is lazy because it's where scum can pretend to look busy but not actually commit to anything. You can't possibly write off everyone active as town and just pretend to contribute by hitting slots that probably are inactive for non alignment reasons. Maybe they're busy. Maybe they can't catch up to 15 pages. But it's like, you could spend your energy engaging players who are playing rather than complain about those who aren't because it seems like you're looking busy but you're not interested in hunting scum.-

That's basically how I think I scumhunt, I generally do this as scum (low sample size so not very reliable) but I try not to rock the boat and go under the radar by posting things that aren't helpful but look like they are.
I also dislike what I think are flimsy reasons to scum read people but I do recognize that town can easily fall into this.
Like what's the motivation behind this, is it to genuinely hunt scum or to appear like you're contributing as town-

Scum can lurk, I do lurk as scum. But lurking in general is NAI. I mean some people just don't have the time to play or be as engaged as we are.
The point is, why waste your time on inactive slots. Are all 3 scum in the pool of 6 inactives? Why not expend the effort in finding hopefully 1 scum in the 8 other active slots?
Also my only recent towngame haven't played in 3 years and I doubt those games are accurate-

It's not "lol deep lurkers are auto town" it's more like the lurkers are gonna lurk and you're not gonna get anything from going to that direction. So why waste time there instead of engaging the active players. By your logic, surely we can't write all active people as town and just conclude that inactive people must be scum right?-

Gut town based on the same micro I linked to you. I was reading him as town there too to my recollection and I feel like it's a similar game
Disagree with his reads but the push on Melody and Dunn seem genuine and not something scum Aldus would do. Like why is he drawing attention to himself.
I tend to think Day 1 is about not drawing attention to yourself as scum so you try to blend in and go with the flow of popular opinion, lurk your way through, or produce content fluffy enough not to get lynched but also useless enough not to give any info.-

Farkset, our interactions have solidified my read on you because you're practically misrepping me.
I initially scum read you for what I felt was fake content. Now I think you're discrediting my actual scum read on you by latching on to my point about inactivity. It's like you're telling everyone subtly "don't listen to this guy he doesn't make any sense"
Plus I'm not trying to punish active people I just think it's pointless to push for them when active people will more likely be good source for scum-

@fark. I feel like your gotcha was you trying to say "I'm inconsistent with how I hunt scum" while also discrediting my scumhunting method altogether.
And TBH, even if we don't agree on the way we hunt scum, it's one thing to disagree and it's another to claim I'm flat out wrong-

I wouldn't be confident enough in my game to get you to read me incorrectly because you saw through me that lylo. So I would generally want you to town read me but also avoid giving you a reason to mind my existence because I know you'd see scum me. Maybe I'd be generally agreeable to most of your reads and dissent on a few just to not look like I'm buddying-

Why do I get the feeling that you would have said that no matter what I said?
What did you expect my response to be-

Low key it feels like you're planting seeds of paranoia here Skitter and that's something town you doesn't do.
But then again town you just goes for it and posts what you're thinking of and scum you is more calculated-

Could have easily lied and said I'd artificially push you because I can point to my meta claiming that's not the case-

Good point
I initially have Alim because I feel logic not adding up and the bad push is a good reason for me to have my vote there
Dats has had more for me to work with but admittedly I'm using his not adhering to a meta I know of him and his empty pushes to dead slots as my main read.
Is he scummier than Alim? I can't really say for now
Also are you Shiki/Hectic?-
