Thankyou for the questions.farside22 wrote:This games seems to be stalling with very little going on.
Question time
What is your belief on policy lynching?
Do you think scum or town lurk more and why?
How active would you say you are in a typical mafia game?
1) I think scum use it more then town. There are some games I can see why a policy lynch is neccessary but they are in larger games.
2) I would say actively lurking is a scum trait. If a person is lurking it could be for many reasons and I see both alignments lurker.
3) I'm so active it hurts. Weekends I dont' post as much but during the work week you will see me here lots.
I do not like policy lynching at all. While it is sometimes used as a front for scum I think it's even more often used by townies who aren't thinking properly. Not that I won't mercilessly attack it. The only scenario I can think of where a policy lynch may be justified is to get the game moving when it's otherwise stalled
I think *some players* will lurk more as scum, especially when they think they can get away with it. There are other players, probably in the minority, who have distinctive playstyles (usually they're more skilled) and who I thus wouldn't necessarily expect to lurk as scum.
My activity is incredibly variable and goes through great peaks and troughs. I don't think it's necessarily dependent on the phase of the game. Sometimes I just can't get my bearings right at the start of the game and thus don't post much, sometimes I'm active at the start and my interest wanes towards the middle (or I become extremely busy irl and thus procrastinate all my mafia games), and sometimes I get demotivated towards the end of the game as you can see in the recently finished rampage survival large theme. This is also moderated by whether I'm scum or whether I have a power role, although not linearly I don't think.Currently modding Mole Mafia: http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=20529

I voted ksun as an RVS vote whose premise was to follow ABR's vote.
I shall keep my vote on ksun as all he posted was one vote post, one post justifying his vote as coming from random.org and telling the tracker/vig what to choose without providing his reasoning, and one vote not fully addressing the questions asked, and defending "active lurking".Currently modding Mole Mafia: http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=20529

you could if you'd said that to begin with, but you didn't. Plus this conversation is a massive red herring anyway, throwaway comments like the one RayFrost made being contradictory isn't a good scumtell.
I have not noticed anything explicitly scummy from anyone I've played with previously, or Ythan. I suppose that is a good thing.Currently modding Mole Mafia: http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=20529

Because I wouldn't want anything to come between us, SOG. I also like playing cooperatively with people I've played with previously. Sets off a nice vibe and continuity.semioldguy (111) wrote:@ortolan

Tbh I initially had an explicitly town read on MMM, but didn't like the "you have a jester role PM" to RayFrost. Now I'm kinda nullish on him. If you can type logically like he is doing, then you can fake being logical like he is doing. I haven't seen him do anything which is actually scummy though.
mindgamer is a better wagon, I get scummy vibes from him. Didn't like prescient defence of MMM in ISO 3. His statements also reek of excessive dissection and providing excessive detail, possibly in an attempt to feign contribution while leaving few explicit, clearly stated opinions.

That's not really what I meant. You just seem to be dissecting a whole bunch of quotes and going off tangent with your answers. It's kind of like Mastin I suppose (although nowhere near as bad).Mindgamer (189) wrote:Take a look at me in ISO. My paragraphs are almost all one sentence long. Mod: Very very sorry to do this, but please replace me. At this stage I cannot keep up with all three of the games I am playing in. Again, many apologies.Currently modding Mole Mafia: http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=20529
