What is your policy on lynch all lurkers? (agree, disagree...)I see every lynch as a individual decision. Sometimes it makes sense, other times it doesn't.
Do you prefer playing as town, mafia, or power roles? To be honest, I've NEVER gotten a Mafia role, and I've been in over a dozen games (here and elsewhere). Of course, I prefer a PR over a VT role.
Why did you choose the username you haveI am involved in several Fantasy Wrestling leagues (yes, I am a nerd). My characters name is Johnny Rotten, so I used it here.ShowAs Town: 2-0

Wow, I think we are making a whole big thing over nothing. Not suprising really, we are only on page 2 of Day 1.
Regarding the "mass prod 2 hours into the game" fiasco....I feel that he was just anxious to start playing the game. I've felt that way, just never posted it.
Regarding the "weasel words". That is (again, in my opinion) total bullshit. The ONLY way that you could use that as a case, is if you played multiple games with the same player. Then, if you notice a change in their speech patterns, THAT would be a scum tell.
Trying to deduce that from someone you never played with before, is not logical. We are all from different parts of the world, with different ways of speaking. Can't get too worked up over it, without more evidence.

Yes we are all humans, but dialects differ quite a bit from region to region.
One mans hoagie is another mans sub, hero, grinder, etc.....
You could wash that down with a soda, pop, fizz, etc.....
Get my point now?
Also, some people have "favorite" words that they tend to use over and over again in their speech. Perhaps 'odd' is one he uses a lot.ShowAs Town: 2-0

Thats exactly what it was for. Wanted to see his reaction. Crazy was the only one with any sort of heat on him so far, and I was wondering what he would say/do with 3 votes on him.
Unfortunately, nothing good or telling happened.

Crazy is wrong though, as noting odd things is a good idea for people who reread. Who knows what 2 or 3 Days of information can contextualize.
It seems useless when taken out of context like this. When read during the conversation, it makes a lot more sense.
We were discussing 'weasly words' and various dialects. Dizzy posted something that was far more concise than what I was able to produce, so I commended him on it, while still letting it be known that it was how I felt as well.ShowAs Town: 2-0

Basically, I put a vote on Crazy to pressure him and see how he reacted. When he didn't react right away, I got impatient and unvoted.
Albatross was saying that I should have left my pressure vote on a little bit longer, cause he wanted to see how YOU reacted to the situation. But, I went and fucked it all up.

When did I see that Albatross was setting a trap? I said that I put a pressure vote on Crazy, then took it off too soon, thereby screwing myself AND Albatross.
Also, who says that traps are scummy? If you can cleverly word things causing scum to out themselves, what is the harm in that?

You say AGAIN that I am setting traps, which nobody has said, but you. You say that I am using semantics, when again, only one saying it is you. Oh yeah, and you are twisting my words left and right.Migwelloni wrote:
You are too concerned with setting traps than actually provoking real discussion.Johnny Rotten wrote:Again, who is talking about semantics?
For someone who is trying to condemn me for trying to draw out scum, you are doing a bang up job of twisting my words around.
The thing with traps is that if you set them correctly you can make town players fall into them. All you have to do is convince a few other town players to pile on board and you'll have insta-lynched a town player.
Don't use traps, instead you should foster real discussions.
Maybe I should move my vote over to you.
How do you spell scum?

To answer your question, if Migwelloni ceased to exist.....I honestly don't know where I would be in regards to scum in this game. To this point, Migs is the only one to really stand out in being scummy.
@Albatross - I see what you mean about scum bussing Migs right now, but I don't necessarily buy that at the moment. If I remember correctly, Crazy's vote was his random vote, so for the moment we can throw that out. Think of it as if there are only 3 votes on him at the moment. Logic would say that the NEXT vote would be the bussing vote.
I would say that the hardcore lurkers are drawing the most attention to themselves, through sheer silence. dRool specifially, due to how attentive he was early in the game.ShowAs Town: 2-0

It is pretty apparent that we have been barking up the wrong tree the entire day. Mig/Shadow and Crazy had the majority of the heat on them all day, and both flipped town.
The scum must be doing a jig right now, flying totally under the radar, and knocking the last cop out of the game.
With no night actions to act on, does anyone have any sort of epipheny they would like to share, or will we be wandering in the dark from here on?ShowAs Town: 2-0

I completely agree with MPR's assessment there. His reasoning made no sense, and when pressed, he folded.
