See Battousai, you want him out of the game whether or not he's scum. Townies don't care who's an ass or not. They want to hunt scum. If he's ruining the game for you, you can ask him to be nice, ask him to replace out (which you have), or replace out yourself. Don't vote people just because they piss you off. That's worse than OMGUS voting, and it's scummy.-

It's already been suggested that he be replaced, and I put forth the suggestion that we ignore him for the most part. There's no need to lose our uncounterclaimed doctor (no matter how scummy or annoying), and if he is a doctor he'll die tonight anyway. I still maintain that townies will want to lynch scum, with the scum wanting to lynch anyone but other scum. I see this as opportunistic scum trying to set up a wagon on a rowdy townie.quadz08 wrote:I feel that andrew's play is making it essentially impossible to scumhunt, in all honesty. I think he's our best lynch for today, in order to ensure our future productivity in scumhunting, once we have more information after the night.

I'm keeping this avatar, and I wasn't WIFOMing. Read don's post. He pretty much nailed it.andrew94 wrote:stop changing your avatar zero

I'm willing to give quadz the benefit of the doubt here and say he's just very confused town. Please note that this does not at all absolve him of suspicion. I'm just willing to put his confusion behind us because thus far it seems legitimate. Let's get on with the game.
UNVOTE: quadz
In other news, Tasky is scumming up the board with flagrant votes that make no sense and no explanation to accompany. Stay tuned for more of his ridiculous shenanigans on this episode of "Open 245 - Mini Love".-

I'm inclined to believe the CC. Andrew has been really scummy, and the scum usually won't risk a 1-1 ration of scum to PRs. Due to there being a claim and a counterclaim, it's very likely that one is scum and one is a doctor. Either way, they both die, the scum are short a member, and we're short a doctor. It's not the best tradeoff but it's already happened, so we might as well make the most of it.
VOTE: andrew94
Leaving the scum to choose is a bad idea. You should never leave scum with decisions. It allows them to choose what will work best with their current plans. The death of both is inevitable and we don't need to eat WIFOM cake in the event that neither of them die. It's much safer and better for the town to lynch the counter-claimed doctor.Last edited by Mr.Sandman on Sun Sep 19, 2010 6:26 am, edited 1 time in total.-

This is the only thing Dr. Sik did yesterday.
I can't read GB (now Wisteria) without hearing him in an old-timey British accent. That's the first time something like this has happened to me. Anyway, he seemed to be pushing a logical argument against Andrew's lynch. This is, of course, before he was CC'd. God, that kid screwed us over. Town read on GB/Wisteria for sensibility in a game where there is none, where it would be very easy to slip into the crowd and push a town lynch on VI tells.
Mokujin_ doesn't know how to read, and vote hopped the entire day. I'm not impressed. Scum read.
Battousai (now Nexus) I read as pissed town. His posts were sensible, yet ticked off at the ridiculousness of some of the posts. I also read anger as more of a town emotion because scum get scared, townies get frustrated.
Quadzdirectly pushed a case on a claimed PRbefore his counterclaim. He is, IMHO, the scummiest player alive right now.
I've tried to read Tasky again and again, and I just can't. I would guess town on statistics alone, which of course means absolutely nothing. No read.
A null read on tvellalott. Most of his posts had to do with RVS/RQS and random shit. Like cake. And birthdays. And tequila. His other posts were discussing scum WIFOMs and theory. He's either active lurking or just not paying attention.
WoW (that can't be a coincidence) had RVS/RQS discussion and a single content rich post. +1 for content, +2 for great content, and +5 for scumhunting and using logic. Town read.
If I were to flat out guess the scum team, it's quadz, Mokujin, and Tasky/tvellalott.

You know tvella, you could help the town by dismissing the scumtells that don't mean anything. At least then we would actually know your stance on who's scummy and who's not.
This fence sitting/refusing to scumhunt/dissmissing cases without refuting them makes tvellalott go up a slot on my personal scum list.-

Everyone has a 7/10 chance of being town, so if you have to guess, you're better off guessing they're town for the sake of statistics. Of course, if we applied those to everyone than everyone would be town, and that certainly isn't the case. In other words, it means nothing. My best guess at your alignment comes from statistics.Tasky wrote:"I would guess town on statistics alone, which of course means absolutely nothing"
As soon as people start posting more opinions and cases, I'll be able to scumhunt better and probably have more definite reads on people, but until then we'll have to work with the cards we're dealt. If a couple people stepped up and made some cases, I believe we'd have more global activity.Last edited by Mr.Sandman on Thu Sep 30, 2010 2:03 am, edited 1 time in total.-

Except for the fact that they make up two confirmed townies who know each other's identity with two independent votes, and so they're just as valuable to the town as PRs are.Wisteria wrote:I am not rolefishing. I am stating a fact. Yes, the lover pairs need to self-preserve to an extent, but they mostly do so to prevent getting killed by scum. In any other capacity, they will have to act as a regular townie because there is a 50% chance that their lover is scum.
What accusation?Wisteria wrote:Your accusation would hold water in a closed setup. This is not. Are you telling your buddies to stay quiet?
Not true at all. Getting lynched is one of the most anti-town things a VT can do. Getting NKed as VT is almost an accomplishment, because it means the scum felt you were enough of a threat to warrant killing. Getting lynched, on the other hand, is just terrible play. What is not survivalist about 343? tvellalott had admitted to staying quiet because he was attacked for whatever he said. By extension, he is afraid of getting lynched.
Town hunt scum. They do not need to survive.
343 was scummy for an entirely different reason. He's refusing to hunt for scum until someone makes some big slip, which he'll promptly jump on. That's scummy. Trying not to get lynched is on pretty much everyone's agenda.-

Methinks you're trying to out the lovers, and no, I'm telling the lovers to keep quiet. If we hang scum today, and the other pair of lovers dies tonight, the lovers can claim and we know for sure one of them is scum. If they both survive, we have a 3/1 scum ratio, which is awesome.Wisteria wrote:Your accusation would hold water in a closed setup. This is not. Are you telling your buddies to stay quiet?-

Yeah, that pretty well fucked us over.Nexus wrote:Oh man, I completely forgot that Andrew claimed doctor as Town. I don't even understand why...
And it worked to astonishingly great effect. Congrats! You need a page in the wiki about that.Battousai wrote:Sorry about replacing out... my gambit (I call it Batt gambit)failed/worked. This was the first game where I could actually use this gambit, so I had to do it. Essentially, I was overreacting to an overlyaggressive playstyle (one where the person insults players). In doing so, I was trying to appear townie by faking pseudo-towntells, which includes anger and replacing out.-
