We can go ahead and make it easy on you since you are having computer problems and lynch you so you want be distracted by this game.CaptainCake wrote:Just a little heads up for everyone, my main computer is on the verge of death (graphics card wants to burst into flames i think) so I may not be posting too frequently over the next week or so as the other computer here is mostly in use by someone else.
Now about the game: Not much to add right now, except I would like some kind of reasoning behind the FoS from IcemanE.-

Sorry for my inactivity. I have been running a Mish Mash HAGGLE game that really is time consuming.
Lowell wrote:greasy spotlooks really terrible in posts 56 and 67. His rushing to point out that mafiassk's post defending iceman (62) could be scum protecting each other just seems too opportunistic. And way too obvious to be true. There's no way I can sanely read that passage and convince myself that mafiassk just came out and openly asked others not to vote for his scumpartner. I can, however, make a big deal of it if I'm just trying to make it look like it matters. Which is what I think Greasy is doing. It's possible mafiassk IS scum and defending a townie, but that doesn't strike me as all that likely either.
Others I'm not sure of yet. For now I'm not feeling the mafiassk mini-wagon, so I'llunvote, vote Greasy Spot.Post 56 wrote:
Why? Because you don't like him. I haven't seen anything scummy yet. You pushing a bandwagon is though.ZeekLTK wrote:Are we going to lynch ScumCake or what?
So exactly what is it about 56 and 67 that makes me "look really terrible"? I would call it scum hunting. Post 56 Zeek was pushing for a Cake Lynch which Zeek got a lot of votes for because it was scummy. Post 67 - TSPN called out iceman for good reason and MafiaSSKsounds like he's protecting him. I call it like I see it. I can't help that. Are you upset cause I called out your scum buddy?Post 67 wrote:

hmm...opportunistic you say...Dude, the whole game is opportunistic. We pick apart what little tidbits of information and reactions we can until people break. So yes, I am opportunistic as well as everyone else that is playing this game. Bad Logic Lowell.Lowell wrote:It's cute that you use the same logic that I voted you for to accuse me as well.
What I'm saying is I don't like when Z says "don't vote for X" then you jump in and say "EUREKA!! Z and X are scumbuddies!" That's not super-sophisticated analysis to me as much as it is opportunistically trying to look like you're scumhunting.
vote: Lowell-

That post alone no. But his saying my scum hunting act is terrible is worth a vote. Do you think his logic for voting me correct?icemanE wrote:

Opportunistic applies to everyone. I'm not saying you take every opportunity but I'm saying Mafia is a game of opportunities and you either take them or not. Sometimes they are good opportunities and sometimes they are bad opportunities. I voted Lowell to illustrate to him that his vote on me was an opportunistic reasons which I didn't find valid.-

If you guys want to vote me out then that's fine. I had already asked to be replaced but the Mod couldn't find anyone who would stand in for my sorry ass. I've been real busy in RL and that's why I haven't been posting. I saw the vote count and figured if I hammered that would surely get me voted the next day. I protected TheSweatpantsNinja last night just by chance. I just picked someone and he was it. So either Mafia targeted him or they forgot to send in a name. Either way I will most likely be their target tonight if I last till then.-

Well I did a quick reread of the whole game. I don't have specific quotes to make much of an argument, but my highest suspects are:
1) Johoono
2) TDC
3) Nanosauromo/Sir Tornado
4) FaerieLord
5) Thestatusquo
With 12 players we probably only have 3 mafia members and possibly a 3rd party player as well but not very likely.
Sorry for not being more helpful.-

I am assuming the town only has a doc and maybe a cop. My assumption could be flawed.Johoohno wrote:

UGH! Stop rolefishing! This is absolutely Stupid.
If Lowel has any kind of reason to suspect that GS is not telling the truth, do you REALLY think it's to the towns best interest for him to tell it? Think what that would mean.YES!!! It's in the towns best interest. How could it not be. If he has something that proves someone is a liar. Spill the beans.
THINK for fucks sake. And I suppose you are.
He's obviously saying he doesn't like leaving greasy spot alive, you dolt... You're 90% sure he's scum now? Why? Because of some missinterpretation of his post that doesn't make any sense at all? Because he's voting you? Do tell, please dear god how can you be 90% certain that he's scum? You're sounding just like zeek. This is very townie behavior here isn't it.
Oh, and I am not a doc or a RB.My comments to the above are in Bold.-

Ditto!icemanE wrote:@ Faerie - what motivates you to speak for other players when questions are clearly addressed to only them? You bring in an unnecessary foreign perspective if you answer BEFORE the player is able to. Making conclusions AFTER the other player answers is appropriate, but I think you befuddle things if you answer questions in someone else's place. It simply complicates the matter.-

Wasn't Zeek Town? You are attacking Iceman way to hard and acting like an ass as well. You pushed for a TSPN lynch yesterday and called him out as the number one suspect of today.Thestatusquo wrote:What logic? You've given none whatsoever! You're doing literally EXACTLY what zeek did.
vote: Thestatusquoand hopefully the Town will get Lowell tomorrow.-

of course not, but when you say you play just like person A and then person A turns town then your argument against person B doesn't hold water. And when you make this argument after you know person A is town then that is just plain stupid.TDC wrote:
So from now on, everyone who plays like Zeek is proven town? WTF?icemanE wrote:
Zeek was town you ass hat.I appreciate the "iceman is the new Zeek"-case, but I'd rather find out whether GS is really not counter-claimed first.-

Yes, I understand that but how does that disprove my claim for today? It seems like people are waiting to see if someone counter claims, but I'm wondering how are people going to know who is truthful and who is lying?FaerieLord wrote:Because if you turn out doc, we lynch him tomorrow.

With only one more person left to claim he could claim the same as me since I already said what I did. How are you to know if he is lying? Well technically the only way you will know is if he survives the NK and I don't. Other than that he can say what he wants and your at his mercy. You can't disprove him and he gets to survive another lynch (not saying celeb would be the lynch). You are putting too much faith in his words. If he claims doc and you lynch me then you are at a disadvantage going into the night and the next day. If you concentrate on mafia during the day they will most likely target me at night so as to not risk another successful protection.Thestatusquo wrote:In general, a counter claim is more likely to be believed than the original claim, mainly because there is less motivation for a scum to counterclaim out of the blue than there is for them to try to fake claim to save their skin; the one for one trade just isnt worth it for them. Therefore scum are more likely to be the one fake claiming than the one counterclaiming.
Couple that with the fact that you were the most suspicious before you claimed, and they were not, I think it's pretty safe to say that any counter claim comes along and it will be you we're hanging.
How so?icemanE wrote:
