HE said NOT willing, so it doesn't look that scummy to me, more just a post in a joking matter. Though Patrick's switch is kind odd, but we don't want a bandwagon lynch, so it isn't that odd. Just think it's something worthy of notice.Ripley wrote:
So we're still going nowhere.Nightfall wrote:...yeah okay... Pat, I liked how you were thinking in our last game, eventhough we were on opposite sides. If you can think up some kind of idea to put into action in this game, I'm more thannotwilling to follow your lead.
I think this post by Nightfall is the closest anybody's been to acting suspicious. Offering to follow another player on the basis of his play in another game - that's slightly odd if for all you know he could be scum in this one. Also there's something a bit lazy and responsibility-dodging about it. Probably if there was a good plan, somebody would have thought of it by now, so any plan devised by Patrick is unlikely to be great. None of this is such a big deal, but everyone's being so careful still, there's not really been anything else to comment on.
But I was voting Nightfall anyway, so it doesn't change anything,-

O, yes, I guess I didn't understand it. I find it odd, that once claiming comes up you switch, also that if you thought he was mafia, why didn't you want him lynched.Patrick wrote:
Fircoal, you misunderstood it. He said he was more than not willing - that means he is willing. It was a random vote at the beginning, you don't need to vote with proof until it gets more serous. As for not unvoting, that was an accident. I meant to unvote Ernie went I voted for the mod.ShadowLurker wrote:
You didn't seem to want proof here.Fircoal wrote:Vote: Ernie. That's for voting for me.
And you didn't unvote through all your posts until the mod ignored your vote for him.-

So are you saying all pro-town players should follow that strategie?Twito wrote:Well if that's his opinion it's good reason to vote anyone. Especially ones close to lynch. Then again that opinion is completely fucked up if we were just random voting and it would be as likely to lynch town or scum based on read then town would lose all the games.

You're the one who said you'd reread, that's why. I did it myself so I know it doesn't take long because of the dismal lack of content. I've already commented on Nightfall's failure to contribute. This game really doesn't need people looking for excuses not to post.ShadowLurker wrote:I'm curious as though why you didn't ask Nightfall anything as he has been much more inactive than me.-

Already did, it died, now it's spam land. WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRipley wrote:Twito and Fircoal have added nothing of any meaningful content with all these posts so there is nothing to respond to. They're just increasing the percentage of rubbish posts in the thread, which was already enormous. I already went through this game and managed to find stuff to say (post 147). It probably needs somebody else to do the same.-

how can I help, I don't know. But my ideas about Ernie are the same as most, I wish the scum did something real scummy. And the scumteam thing was an idea, the praising thing was basically a copy, but with the fact he does that a lot more, is now more of a null tell.Fircoal strikes me more like an awful fake claim that gets you lynched in under 25 posts. - Kelly Chen-

The 1st post of mine was a joke, but I don't think I phrased the last sentence right.
My 2nd post that you quoted doesn't really prove anything, about me being scum.
The 3rd quoted post of me, I thought at the time Ripley was pro-town, which now I realize that it's a null-tell since he does it in other games. The scumteam was just an idea that I had that until disproved made sense.Fircoal strikes me more like an awful fake claim that gets you lynched in under 25 posts. - Kelly Chen-

2) I didn't really see anything that you said about that quote as evidence, or really something that really would be scummy.ChannelDelibird wrote:
Which is why I said it wasn't really any big factor.Fircoal wrote:The 1st post of mine was a joke, but I don't think I phrased the last sentence right.
What, your defense is "that proves nothing"? Tell meFircoal wrote:My 2nd post that you quoted doesn't really prove anything, about me being scum.whyit is not scummy at all. Of course it doesn't "prove" anything, nothing can be proved in mafia until a lynch. I was just pointing out how it could be interpreted as scummy, and your response isn't really inspiring.
No, it didn't make sense, for reasons made clear. I don't know if it's a null tell or not either...a helpful post that looks seriously at trying to find possible scumtells is always more helpful to town than scum, therefore it is always more of a town tell than scum.Fircoal wrote:The 3rd quoted post of me, I thought at the time Ripley was pro-town, which now I realize that it's a null-tell since he does it in other games. 3) What reasons were made clear that they couldn't be scum buddies. Wouldn't it be better if they were known as a group that isn't likely to be buddies together. So they furthered themselves apart. So if one of them is lynched then, the other won't be under as much suspicion. I know that trying to find scum-tells is a pro-town thing.-

My theory was posted on Post 152.Patrick wrote:I'm confused about that. Your last post doesn't make sense. It seems that you first said that you were disproved, then 5 posts later you asked what reasons there were for Nightfall/Ernie not being scumbuddies. Those two things don't make any sense together.
I gave some reasons for not thinking they're scumbuddies in my post 155.
You disproved it on Post 155 or some post around there.
Until you disproved it, I believed in my theory.-

I'm pleased for replacements to, maybe we could get more chatter. And Patrick what about the other 4 people in the game?Patrick wrote:Unvote, vote: Fircoalbecause I've had a few bad vibes from him and CDB does seem ok at this stage.
I'm pleased that we're getting a replacement for Shadowlurker, since at the moment I don't have the slightest idea about his alignment. Twito may also need replacing since I think he's having all sorts of problems with his connection.Fircoal strikes me more like an awful fake claim that gets you lynched in under 25 posts. - Kelly Chen-

I've been starting to do that on a lot of Mafia scum games. Sometimes, it's because of the argument or the inactivity in the thread.Nightfall wrote: Fircoal on the other hand seems to have enough time to make posts, and believably enough time to make them semi meaningful, however he has chosen to more lurk in plain site, Right now he is at the top of my list.Fircoal strikes me more like an awful fake claim that gets you lynched in under 25 posts. - Kelly Chen-

Twito has been acting the best so far. And also you haven't the claim which I claimed Wolf on Night 1 (or 0). (But that was after that a bit.) Also, I don't think Twito will get lynched for that.Skruffs wrote:I in no way meant to defend fircoal. I think it's likely that fircoal is tagging along behind goofy twito to seem innocent - because twito is more likely than him to get lynched for spamming and such.
If I misrepped ripley, it is because I am misunderstanding the way he isportraying himself, in which case, an explanation will ease my concern and i'll continue looking elsewhere.Fircoal strikes me more like an awful fake claim that gets you lynched in under 25 posts. - Kelly Chen-
