That was interesting. Anyway, No lynch is a terrible idea but you are a new player so I won't lynch you. It is scummy to suggest No lynch in any situation that is not 1 from Lynch or Lose. Let's say we have 4 townies and 2 scum left, then it would be okay to No Lynch because your hoping the cop picks the right person, if there is cop. In this game there may not be a cop, so it might not be smart even then. You could use No Lynch to get a vig kill but that might lose the game as well. The reason it isn't smart to No Lynch in all situations is because you are sacrificing the towns most powerful weapon. It's the only thing they have that makes people die 80% of the time. So wanting that weapon to be sacrificed is not protown. You are very new so I can let that slide.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

This ridiculosly scummy post happened in between my posts. It had nothing to do with Gaspode's vote or post. I hate when people apply timing is everything to mafia, well if I was on everyminute of everyday constantly refreshing i could understand or if this was a ScumChat game i'd understand but the person in question could make post 4-5 post before you and there could be a vote on that guy within those post. What am I supposed to? Not vote? Screw that.destructor wrote:Reading the wiki entry on No lynch, I found that it is apparently a poor tactic used by newbie scum.
This is interesting. Obviously, I'm a newbie. (Well, I've actually played five or so games on another forum and did pretty well, but the format was very different.) Now, does this imply that I'm newbie who is also scum? I will deny this, of course. Everyone else can male up their own minds.
Anyway, I figured a No Lynch vote this early in the Day was functionally as random as any other random vote. And of course, I didn't intend to stay on that vote for a very long time. Boredom accelerated the change, yes, but I would have changed it to someone I saw as being scummy sooner or later.
And, no, I wasn't role fishing. At least, I don't think so. heh. Just thinking out loud since nothing else was being posted.
And now to why that post was scumming, I don't like how he pulled to newbie card, and then blatantly WIFOMed us. He also said it was a random vote, I'm not feeling that. What was wrong with the other random votes? I feel he is just throwing vote until one gets a wagon.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

To clarify again, if destructor is scum then there's
Aceiks
-refuses to vote destructor when he claims to think destructor is scum
-will only vote destructor if everyone else agrees to, ie. when there's no other option
and
GodofWine
-Freely voted destructor under no pressure and without any fear of being linked to him
-Suggests that we should lynch destructor but on the off chance he is town he is still so unhelpful that he might as well be antitown
I just don't understand how if destructor is scum you think GodofWine will look worse than you, Aceiks, in hindsight.
That, my friends, is a clear contradiction and set off minor scum bells, for trying to be a useful townie but very obviously not sticking to his guns. If you FoS somebody you should at least carry the same opinion for more then 1 of your post. oh did i mention that he only made one post between those two quotes and it was a one liner. What exactly made you go from FoSing for one thing then not sticking with it in another?Paradoxombie wrote:Aceiks wrote:Both you and paradox seem to be jumping on me for not voting while also agreeing that voting would have been a bad idea.I definitely never suggested that voting would be a bad idea or that not voting was a mistake(notice my own vote status)
If the last set of quotes set of bells, this sets off full fledged alarms coupled with SWAT officers and yatta yatta. Let me summarize this post: "That is a very bad and weak argument due to two guys who weren't even mentioned in the quote or post not getting on the wagon due to them having reasons(one of which i said was ok) not to. You're saying we're overthinking, aka you're putting pressure on me and my scum buddies(GodofWine,Aceiks) to make up our mines. But since your telling me to pull the trigger and you had an agrument about Destructor and I swear I totally was gonna put a vote on him although i haven't even mentioned his scumminess all game, Pow I'll vote him"Paradoxombie wrote:
That strikes me as a very weak main argument. Especially when compared to Aceiks who was hestitant get on the wagon and opted to vote for someone else and death_omen who says destructor is a townie and unvoted, essentially preventing the lynch. You made a big deal about overthinking, but it looks to me as if you are just as guilty as anyone.Gaspode wrote:(Mainly the distancing argument: At the time GoW made the vote on Destructor, it seemed that the winds were blowing pretty clearly towards a destructor lynch. Thus, it was the perfect time for a scum buddy to switch over to his wagon for distancing purposes.
But I agree about destructor. I was planning to put a vote on a while ago but I definitely want flameaxe to post before we lynch.
Vote: Destructor
How do you say you have a terrible arguement and then vote for the guy he tosses the most suspicion on. And can you point out a post where you said you thought he was scummy(beside that weak FoS for AlSleet "warning him" which you unvoted after)?Vote: Paradoxombie FoS:GodofWine, Aceiks
The FoSes are for ties to Paradox. and I'm sure i could go back and find more to make stronger cases on you two and if xombie is scum bet your asses I will be.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

Unvote, Vote GodOfWineWanting a fast lynch and all this deadline talk are making me feel more positive about the people wanting him lynched. I'm still suspicious of Paradoxombie for earlier though. I also am a little suspicious of Destructor, genrally the lynchs that take the longest are on scum. I feel if he was town he'd be lynched already. It would surprise me if both destructor and GodofWine were scum. I think xombie fits well with both and Gaspode fits rather well with GoW. Aceiks seems like a good candidate if Destructor is scum. Alright i've said my piece.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

I agree with Ripley's theory. Doc could have choose right Night 1. I forgot about the semi open set up. Anyway there is definently a kill role, and i agree with CTD. What other choose does an SK have but pretend to be a vig so he can be like hey, i killed all these anti-town looking people, Such as Paradoxombie. AlSleet, there was a 25% chance on both SK and Vig, the chance of having either role was the exact same.
Destructor, I voted AlSleet because i find anyone writing of the fact there is an SK is scummy. There is no reason to right off the SK until the vig dies in my opinion.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-
