and the first game dilemma has been presented. BM just did the same thing in another game. “I am a Miller, I might play scummy, if you investigate me and get scum that is why”. I am choosing to believe that in that game…so I must chose to believe it here (for now).

Vollkan you understand now, we have to take everything you say and do and base our judgments on your alignment based on a meta and your reputation. This puts us in a difficult position. Especially if you end up in a lylo situation.

That being said, that has been much conversation (lately) on the board about what you do if you are given a Miller role…so I am interested to see how this plays out. If you are going to claim Miller, the best time to do it is now...

I dont think he's newbie anything hence my rheottorical question... he's been around for 3.5 years... scum would have a reason for doing what vikingfan did, albeit it would be a bit stupid considering that the spotlight would be on them... however a townie would have even less reason to do so...

I dont think the fact that vikingfan put SSK at -1 so early is that big of a scum tell. I have been known to do in the past, just to see what people do. what bothers me now is viking's WIFOM arguement.

"I cant be scum because scum would want to hide in the shadows, but I put someone at -1 on page 3 because he was acting so scummy" So you are defending yourself because scum would want to blend in, but you attacked someone because he was acting scummy...what? Shouldnt your same defense been applied to SSK on page 3 before you put when at -1?...

i dont buy into anyone pushing "blatant emotional appeal" as a scum tell. If he is a townie, he might be feeling that way, thus posting it. I am more concerned with his actions, I was bothered by his defense today, but as you pointed out he did mention it doesnt really hold water given his actions Page 3.

I've actually posted twice after I said that, it looked like everybody they ignored them I posted my view on CES and it looked like nobody responded about it (it could just be because I don't have a avatar on).

However, it seems weird to me that CKD and vollkan voted (or FOSed) malthusis for his L-1 vote, then immediately unvoted (or unFOSed) him after his explanation. Yes, his explanation is plausable, but scum often come up with good explanations. I don't know why that necessarily swayed you, unless you are just giving him a newbie pass. I know we're all a little scared to lynch for newbie mistakes after what happened with mafiassk.

we needed more conversation (you like conversation dont you PP?), and I cant say that he is entirely off my scumdar, but others have jumped on it higher...like Near for instance, for meta purposes, his playstyle in this game is completely different than another game I am in with him. For example his vote that said he wasnt convinced, but why didnt he have a vote to begin with?....something about his play is rubbing me all types of wrong.


also you should note that I unvoted yesterday for (mostly) the same reason (even though it resulted in a lynch anyway)...I wanted more conversation, it is not helping the town flying through lynches without discussion.

However, in another game I am playing with vollkan, I was a scum and he was a known townie.

FYI, this is why we are not suppose to talk about other games I think. Vollkan is not dead in that other game....and even though we have an innocent town investigation on him...we are still not 100% (in that game) that he is town...
