I don’t see DP’s reasons for scumreading you, I saw your reaction as somewhat counterpoking and I think they’re overblowing it into full OMGUS, though I can’t tell if it’s intentional or not

I don’t think I can read Creature yet without seeing what he does with the stuff he’s gotten from the poking

Espresso is probably my top scumread so far, I think they’re picking and choosing what to respond to

I’m not experienced, and only arguably if you count all of the forums I’ve played on, but I think it’s better to just read lurkers based on what they do say while they are posting. They shouldn’t be read any differently because of their activity level.

Expresso and Red Panda were really the only players focusing on those slots and I’m finding it hard to believe both CC and Cinn as scum replace out because of the pressure that could’ve been looming. An ISO dive of both shows that they were frustrated with how they were being engaged with as opposed to being frustrated solely because players were attempting to engage them. I think that’s more likely to come from town who are just feeling out of their element as opposed to scum upset they’re being interrogated.

I feel like historically I've been a shit ton of games where I was the only one who scumread someone playing hyper aggressively and I usually ended up being right
I think that -oh that confidence is towny- isn't good logic here. scum would need to do something big with this entrance with how tight the PoE pool already is. this is a situation to make a push like that.

And as for why, Creats has 400+ posts which is impressive for scum!him even knowing he's not as easily readable on that front, and in addition his reads don't seem as easy as scum!Creats would normally have. As for Pine, his posting just reads as by and large unfiltered, in a way that I feel like would be poor play for scum, and he's not a poor scum player by any means.
