So after a
comprehensive
read up of the thread:
-Delta's strategy seems game breaking
which
is great. The plan for night 1 looks good. I will now proceed to point my
FINGER OF APPROVAL
at you. Consider this an honour.
-Eudgf voted for me so I shall now vote for her.
VOTE: Vote: Vote: Edfug
-We need to start talking
more
about who to strand and our scumreads. Majority of
discussion
so far has been on night strats and
working
out the maths of
said
strats.

I
agree
that the setup discussion has been
useful
, and I just noticed this game has only been up
for
1 day, thought it was more for some reason. Been hard for me to formulate any scumreads so far but got a few
classic
townreads on Delta, Egdfu and Gandalf. Delta is the only townread I have based on setup discussion, because the strat they
presented
genuinely seems like it can break the setup and tilt
the
odds in town's favour massively. Eudfg
for
getting started with
some
nice reads, and Gandalf for that nice BBCode self-tutorial and genuinity.

Gandalf's
really
town, the voting struggles with the BBCode was genuine, newbie!scum does not attempt something as over the top as that. His confusion about the Delta's strat is also reasonable for newbie!town who's never played a forum game before (let alone something as
weird
as this one), others have sufficiently explained now though why scum would not counterclaim masons, and why the masons will be confirmed most of the time. I will now point my
FINGER OF LIKING
at Gandalf.

Most Serene has voted for me and thus I shall now place my vote on them.

VOTE: Vote: Vote: Vote: Most Serene

Malenque's logic on Gandalf and Ecafu being scum together seems a little
dodgy
, would like to hear him
expand
on that.

A formal message to Menalque:

Firstly, I would like to

deeply

Carl Tuckerson:
Understood.

I liked Educf's reads
since
she was pushing the game away from setup discussion and towards forming interactions,
and
the start of scumhunting. Scum would be
happier
to dwell in setup and stats discussion for longer. I agreed with her read on
Gandalf
.

Does anyone see Carl and Serene's
interactions
ever coming from 2 scum? Never played with either of them so I have no idea.

No, I mean I agreed with her previous
assessment
of Gandalf's posts feeling like genuine newbie!town. I don't agree with her flip on him and her vote. I think it's unlikely Gandalf is newbie€scum who's against Delta's strat because he realises it's
great
for town, and
bad
for him. He's newbie¥town who simply doesn't
understand
it.

Menalque's
town
- good contributions and obsession with
pagetopping
is good.

Carl's
town
- self explanatory

I can see Serene being scum - but only with me, town otherwise, so only a slight scumlean

Tet hasn't explained any reads yet, and most of their posts are setup-related or
JK Rowls
. Also, that last post of theirs is just a bit slightly kind of LAMIST.

True, people do seem to overuse words like
LAMIST
and
WIFOM
nowadays, and calling that post LAMIST was probably wrong on my part. Basically, I think Tet's post (although probably a joke) was more scum-indicative than town, because scum!Tet would want town to see them in a townie's mindset, looking like they're thinking about whether scum is gonna kill them, and if they can live as a townie long enough to fire off 2 shots. It's minor though and probably not even worth this
discussion
.

In post 423, Carl Tuckerson wrote: I honestly feel like I got what you were trying to say until you said "only a slight scumlean." Consider me very confused.
"X could only be scum with me" is a plausible thing for town to say to townread someone else. Something like "Because of X's interactions and blablabla, the only way X could be mafia is if X were partners with me, so [because I'm town] X is town."
I don't get why Serene is leaning scum to you in the world where Serene can only be scum with you.
I have a bad habit of making poor jokes which can be interpreted as scum

This was part of the joke.

Agree with Egfuj that Icon's reaction isn't
weird
, and their reluctance to look into past games isn't scum!Icon who doesn't want to admit their scumread is wrong.
Curious
about 477 though, and the fact they're trying to use "Uhhhh...
little
bit of a scumslip there. Disregard that
immediately

probably
do them as scum as well.

Lul, my
point
was that if you're faking the anger, that's more scum-indicative than town. I'm not saying the
anger
itself is indicative of either alignment, it's the possibility that it may be
fake
.

I've not played with either you behind this

Delta - which vote of mine did you have issue with?

Based on meta reads, I think Eekac is town (she's a lot more cagey as scum, and her playstyle here is consistent
with
other games where she's town).

Carl's town for tone and being
bothered
enough to research my meta (don't know how committed scum would have to be to do that).

Serene's probably town based on drawing so much attention to themselves in that feud with Carl, I think the lack of vote change is something they just forgot to do.

Gandalf's town for BBCoding and
opposition
and genuine lack of understanding of Delta's strat.

Tet's a bit scummy to me,
feels
non-committal and his posts don't have much substance to them imo.

Agree with Oversoul's read on Gandalf. The Edgfu is L-1 was fishing for reactions which is good. Also this:

Nah, I'm the easy wagon to push for scum, and the fact so many are latching onto that "scumslip" and the OMGUS votes after the Iconeum wagon had formed does make me a lot more suspicious of him.

His early suspicion of me was perfectly warranted in my eyes, but the fact he researched my meta and came back with

Gandalf's town because I don't see a lone scum going openly against Delta's
strat
in the hopes to shut it down, it's a townie who doesn't understand the merits of it. Also, disagreeing with a widely well-received

like that puts the

Menalque's looking better after his last few

kinda
like Icon now after my interactions with him, and him reconsidering his read on me.

Don't like Oversoul's last few posts, feels like scum
feigning
lazy-townie to me. Anyone played with him before? Edghu and Menalque both town. Tet's still
eh
, though that might be more reflective of their play-style rather than their words.

Most Serene:

Wait, so
Carl's
"slip-up" was actually a gambit? He said they could push FF tomorrow, who's flipped scum now. So Iconeum is definitely not conftown in that
case

I don't get it, am I missing something? Carl said they could push FF as a strand candidate today, FF just flipped as scum. Why are people assuming Iconeum are town based of Carl's post?

In post 852, Carl Tuckerson wrote:I think we can push FF tomorrow for sure but beyond that we're kinda running out of reasonable targets. Hopefully a bunch of people who aren't FF die and we can just ride it out with what's left. We'll play this by ear and see who's even alive lol, I heard town killed like six people last time this setup got used so maybe we'll get it gift-wrapped too.
How does this read as him wanting to push scum!FF for distancing? This looks like he's talking about FF as a possible strand, especially since he talks about how he hopes a lot of people who aren't FF (townies) die as well.

I'm not 100% sure this is a gambit, but I don't see how Menalque is so sure this is a slip-up, and is calling Icon 100% town.

Oh right, especially since the last member is a strongman and can't barricade, so we win by grouping. We could even have everyone shoot everyone else in a circle (mason not being in the circle).

I guess they went for it because Delta's breaking strategy was too good, and if Icon is scum, it really wasn't looking good for them since he was gonna be stranded there.

Hectic shoots Egduf
Egduf shoots Menalque
Menalque shoots Tet
Tet shoots Oversoul
Oversoul shoots TiphaineDeath
TiphaineDeath shoots Iconeum
Iconeum shoots Hectic

Gandalf barricades

Everyone good with that?

I don't think something like that should be allowed, honestly. It doesn't matter though, if someone counterclaims mason, we just kill the two contested claims. We just assign 3 people to shoot each person.

Props to Tiphaine for taking that shot on FF, could've been a completely different end otherwise. The breaking strat still should've worked though I guess, since we just pair everyone together and don't put Icon and FF in the same pair, while Gandalf barricades.
