Deadlines, Activity, and replacements

1. Day start. Days will last N+2 days, where N is the number of players alive.
   
2. Nights will last 48-72 hours, depending on what the event is.
   
3. Prods will be issued if you do not post for 48 hours.
   
4. If you get three or more prods, or fail to respond to a prod by posting in thread within 24 hours (or by PM if at Night), I will begin seeking for a replacement.
   
5. If you expect to be unable to post for a while, please declare V/LA in thread. Should your V/LA be unreasonably long (>5 days), however, I strongly suggest you request replacement.
   
6. You will still be prodded while on V/LA, but these will not count towards the above three prod limit. An official prod will be sent 24 hours after your V/LA ends if you haven't posted then.
   
7. If a replacement happens at Night, deadline will be paused until a replacement is found.
   
8. If you would like to replace out, please PM me. Do not publicly replace out, discuss about wanting to replace out, threaten to replace out, or persuade/dissuade others from replacing out for any reason other than activity.
   
9. Once your replacement request is publicized, it is final. You must cease to post, and you will not be allowed to cancel your replacement request unless 48 hours pass without a replacement being found.

Voting Rules

1. To vote, use vote tags (VOTE: BulletNLynchproof). Bold tags (

   ) are highly discouraged but allowed.
   
2. Abbreviations or misspellings in votes will be accepted as long as it is clear who you are voting for.
   
3. Nicknames in votes will be accepted only if they fall into the above categories. Otherwise, nicknames based on other sources such as (but not limited to) avatars, titles and other accounts will not be accepted.
   
4. Unvote with UNVOTE: BulletNLynchproof, or less preferably,

5. A strict majority (more than half) of players is required to achieve a lynch.
   
6. Once majority is achieved, the lynch is final, and the Day will end immediately with further votes and unvotes being invalid.
   
7. I will do my best to ensure that each vote count is accurate. If there are any inaccuracies in the vote count, they will not be fixed unless it results in someone being lynched when they shouldn't have been or vice versa, and any involved votes must have been made after the previous vote count. As such, please check to ensure that your vote is correctly reflected in the latest vote count, and make a revote otherwise.
   
8. A lynch will not happen on the first 72 hours of Day 1
   . If a player is past the threshold, they will not be lynched, but all votes will remain. If a player is past the threshold while those 72 hours end, they will be lynched and the Day will end.
   
9. If a lynch is not achieved by deadline, there will be a No Lynch.

Setup-specific Rules

1. Faction sizes are public: There are 3 Mafiosos and 10 Townies.
   
2. The Mafia have a kill every Night, unless stated otherwise.
   
3. There are no power roles. However, players may gain powers during each event.
   
4. Every Night, there will be an event.
   
5. The Town will only know the event at the start of the Night that the event takes place.
   
6. The Mafia will know what the event is on the previous Night.
   
7. There will be no hidden information in any event.
   
8. The set of events have been fixed at the start of the game; they will not change based on anything that happens during the game.
   
9. The Mafia have daytalk.

Night 1 Event: Only Town Vote

This Night, every town-aligned player will get a vote. The player with the most votes will die at the end of the Night. If multiple players are tied for the largest number of votes, the Mafia will be told all such players, and must select one of them to die.

Night 1 will last a total of 72 hours, but townies must submit their votes in the first 48 hours. The Mafia will have to break ties in the last 24 hours if necessary.

This Night, all town-aligned players will get a connect action: They may attempt to connect to another player. If a group of town-aligned players circularly connect, all of them will be immune to the Mafia kill that Night.

I hope you all enjoyed this game. The reason I made this game was to test out some ideas created in the Open Setup discussion thread, but didn't work out because of a breaking strategy caused by directing actions.

By turning the events into a surprise, such a downside is lost, and I can test out these ideas without the breaking strategy, i.e. to how it's supposed to be played out.

Unfortunately, the game did not go as well as I hoped. The quickhammer on Day 1 meant that the Night 1 event was not going to be as exciting as I hoped it to be, and people weren't discussing each Night's mechanics as well to fully utilize them from claiming.

I hope that in spite of all the hiccups, you all had fun anyways.

Kinda disappointed you guys didn’t get through all the event, tbh. A lot of effort went into figuring out the orders for them.

I’m looking forward to see more games like this in the future. If BNL gets enough of a pool of events going he can even start reusing 1 or 2 per game without risking too much strategizing.

Yeah. The order was initially Only Town Vote -> Friendship is Magic -> Necroreveal -> Empower -> Last two but I had to shift things around because having any protective event after Necroreveal was going to be awful to play
