On MORONS. If anyone has more self-awareness than an avacado, they will adjust their scum meta to fit their town meta. That is, after all, the point of the game. Most "meta" tells are either lazy scum excuses, or town finding exactly what they thought they were going to find, a Rorschach test where a failure of result is blamed on the player using meta, and not the entire process being little better than a Tarot card reading. "Looks like death inverted, the 7 of cups, and the 3 of wands, Menalque is either scum, or he's contracted a nasty fungus in his crotch".

Look, I'm not fond of Menalque's play, but I'm not going to dismiss him as an empty-headed buffoon with the IQ of lukewarm water.

I think you underestimate the impact of the subconscious. You can be self aware and still slip into a meta pattern, which has happened with me many times, I feel. That's why Creature is generally considered an easy read (fyi people call his better scum games reason to throw out his meta but people who do that are surface level meta readers, he has deeper trends that he has more trouble manipulating). To expound on myself, one of the people who taught me a lot about the game and myself as a player is Infinity324. There is a sequence of 3 games in which I was scum against him (he might have been scum on another team in the first game but the point is we were not with each other). In each of them I froze up pretty badly at some point. Infinity pointed this out the second game, and despite being aware of it I let it happen again in the third game.

Unless it was pre0designed as a 12 players game with a 13th slot flip at the stat that was always going to be a scum flip, and the mod decided to take it a step further and actually assigned that slot to a player who was always gonna die anyway.

I said A50 was operating on half a monkey brain. For a long time now, he has had a monkey avatar and is sometimes called "the monkey". He also has a peculiar way of playing the game, which is why the crumb callout to me was town, because he has very unique crumbs and him hunting off of those is pretty next level. So I said he was like that because of his unique play in combination with his distraction causing what happened.
