i'm fine with a running tally of actions personally. i think that holding people to doing certain things/knowing what they did definitely makes it easier. also thanks for doing the numbers on the knowledge score stuff because while i am bad with numbers i agree with that sentiment.

however, i don't know how to feel about stacking a single player? like, say that the doctors decide to attack the stacked person one night; they use the factional attack, and then (presuming all are alive here) all attack the same person. if they're worried that they can't kill that night, they can just use their one-shot to make themselves anonymous and do the same thing tomorrow to kill them off, since at that point i think the odds would lean much more towards the doctors being able to kill whoever was stacked? also, whoever we try to stack up will most likely end up the target of the -1 knowledge loss each night.

it seems safer to me to try and have a more even spread among everyone statwise because we could lose a lot of time/resources by pouring them into one person who we might lose quickly. also, i think that it being a utr would be more beneficial because... well, you trust them. doctors could have a knowledge-based ability that boosts them and we wouldn't be any the wiser until we start investing into them and oh, that's weird, why aren't any of the labs destroyed yet.

i feel a little better about stacking someone because... i was acting as if the items just vanished on death. but can't the doctors just try to steal them anyways? it might be obvious for some, but surely not all of them offer stat perks and won't be obvious who has them.

however, what happens when everyone uses the rooms we have right now? like, we have two rooms that people can use and we can feasibly track who went to them based on stats, and who might've been targetted by attacked — but that's because everyone (abilities left out of this) only has one action. the doctors will be enabled by their second action should they get the speed to do what they want, whether it's activate a lab, steal, etc etc. and we're not guaranteed to find a room like the ones we have so far that will give us a "surefire" way to check someone. we can 'log' what everyone does but it's easy to lie about rooms that don't give you a +1 to something.

also, the doctors can surely fake going to some of the rooms, right? they already have the ability to do that for one.

also yeah 128 is obvious but in a more mechanics-heavy game i prefer to make things clearer esp coming off the end of mech-speculation lol

the ~lack of shifting gears~ is more because of lowered site activity/urge to mafia.

i’m focused on setup and mechanics right now because it’s intricate comparatively to most things and i don’t think you can approach something like this without understanding what the best way to do it is. i don’t want to accidentally hand the doctors an advantage because we went with a bad strategy.

that being said, i’ll try to be more active tonight.

i would be lying if i said i had been keeping up terribly with this game.

uh, i think that again trying to stack all of our night actions/items/etc isn't the best idea because 1) i think that town and scum probably have better reasons to deviate or even inabilities to attack, at least on townside? it's a possibility though this is speculation based on what i can do. 2) scum will... very obviously see us planning this publicly and i assume will be able to like. do something about it, lmao. i think that it's better to target the labs since they're not able to take actions to defend themselves in the same way that scum are.

i like the fact that cm1 went to go exploring instead of trying to visit the gym; it seems like, the easiest thing for the doctors to just say "oh i tried to go to the gym and it was blocked" and not get questioned too much but outting an item + stuff just feels... like, honest when he doesn't have to be i guess.

gamma, i have to ask: was this not on your mind d1...? there were a few people who had increased knowledge (pine/gb) and yet you didn't end up voting either of them and instead ended on sircakez. is this theory something that occured to you like, after d1?

also, similarly what do you think of gb having increased knowledge? it could be from the necklace granted but there's proof that increased knowledge doesn't immediate correlate to being a doctor.

...probably unlikely to plan for that exact moment, yeah? it doesn't seem like the setup you want to go for in something like this; it's too specific and there are a myriad of things as we've seen that can impact something like that.

we have some time and i don't really get saying that we should get a hammer ready when the game has finally picked up. idk if it's like, trying to get an elim through before pressure heightens or trying to get another doctor to not post more stuff + the cred of a scumflip buuuuut. i don't like it.

i think? i responded to this one but like... it's a possibility but i don't think it's a very likely one all things considered? i had my moment where i doubted gamma but i don't think it's something that gamma would want to risk/get away with. suggesting it here feels more like an effort to get some suspicion off of pine.

in general i don't really like his approach about pine... it feels like it teeters back and forth from pine and back onto and i don't know if the moments where it goes back onto pine are the moments where abr would rather try to push pine if they're teamed in an effort to just like... move the gamestate onward/benefit from night actions/etc.

Premise: multiple people are considering attacking someone at night.

Because there are no idle labs and Pine is one of the few people who can actually destroy already activated ones, it could be a good idea to attack Pine at night and lynch someone else. Considering someone has a scumlean who isn't Gamma/ Nos.

We almost have enough votes for Pine. We can just lynch him. Who would you attack if you were me?

i also don't know why this post stuck out for me but it feels like... an unnatural interaction which i could not explain why but i keep staring at it as if i will figure out why.

I am scumreading Pine just because mechanics. If someone can make a decent town read on him, I don't mind shifting him to null ~ townlean.
And I think that it is better to have townlean with 5 dices than townread with 4 dices. Especially when the extra dice doubles the chance to destroy the lab.

also, this post made me wrinkle my nose.

you're scumreading someone, and yeah you admit you'll accept a case on them to move them up to maybe null, maybe a tiny bit town. but the mechanics of this game like... if pine is scum, and we decide not to kill him and attack him... i feel like that's such a waste. because he's not gonna try to deactivate a lab at all in that situation, and you're taking a risk that he won't even die, or get protected from attacks, or anything else that can happen.

aaaand i mean, yeah you're right better to have townleans with five dices but you're not like... making the effort to townread him yourself/do that little case, you're just like. "yeah i'll roll with it if it shows up." which... makes all of this feel like a big waste essentially.

thank you for hosting this lilith!! i followed it after i replaced out (sorry again! :<) and it was cool to see how the mechanics came into play and the rooms/items. i think with some tinkering around it could be even more fun to play/watch and i hope it’s ran again!
