ugh. i'm gonna be light SRing Ampharos for the whole game, partly in reaction to the townreads she's accruing. what makes this difficult is she's working with a different site culture than what i'm used to. and her play looks high-level, which isn't AI but does always succeed in pressing the paranoia button.
i agree with her takes, i think. to echo her thoughts on Flavor Leaf, i need to see her really push something.

you know, I think I have to take a step back a bit on my ampharos read as well. I thought her presence in the beginning of the game was strong and initially townread her for that, but it’s dropped off a lot since then so she’s probably now close to null for me.

I feel like you got a lot of things confused and are making a lot of assumptions but we still win so w/e

No, what things? DnD flipped scum devil, Gamma claimed town devil on D2. Amy flipped town lover, Tris flipped scum lover, so when KD strongly suspected tp you but didn’t want to reveal his arcana, I incorrectly assumed it was because he was exactly town high priestess.

The scumteam are 100% doppelgängers, bank on it. I just don’t know which one FL is yet but KD claiming anything other than exactly high priestess, would have made me realize that my solve was wrong and it 100% had to be FL because KD/Fish/Gamma was 99.99999% clear for different reasons and of course me/Alonzo were mech clear after Tris flip, so I would have correctly nailed scum!FL had I known he wasn’t actually high priestess.

Which is exactly why, KD was absolutely the worst kill for FL to have made. Any other kill would have been better including a no kill. I think he didn’t kill us because he kbew we were coronering Tris, which would have obviously debunked your 3P scum theory.

Just to be clear, my Tris coroner results confirmed a 3 person scum team because Tris did not kill Pooky. That’s why I’m so convinced on the doppelgänger scum thing.

I was hoping Gamma Emerald would get revealed as town, because he was already getting confirmed because I roleblocked there, while hoping BEF commuted JJH.

I was gonna kill Nancy tonight, then do my best in a BEF/Hayasaka/FL world.

But yeah, this game was fun, but idk. I don’t necessarily feel it was too balanced.

You should have under NO circumstances killed KD last night. Gamma was already 99.9999 town after Amy/Tris flips due to his town devil claim.

Nancy, not sure what you think my "3p scum theory" was but it was more of a logic based direction of play than a theory. Effectively, the game after FL claimed jester was likely to be either a 2 man scum team plus FL as a 3p jester, or a 3 man scum team including FL. Since FL claimed jester that would want murdering on D4, I figured we could ignore him completely and then vote him out on day 4. Simple stuff. Don't ever let FL have backsies

Yeah, i went for a plan specifically to make sure I could backsies at your expense, and I feel like it would have worked if the right circumstances happened.

I saw the town sided ness Day 1 here, you guys have so much power, and night wise, we really didn’t have anything, and the “I do” mechanic tris had while powerful and could have brought a win at some point, is incredibly suspicious.

You played well, but I played around you the whole game and had you been commuted, and a no kill went, you likely would have been the fade by no fault of your own.

If he had been commuted, KD kill would have still fucked you but had he not died, I would have 100% insisted on having him reveal his arcana, so that would have you looked a lot worse than jjh. Like I said, if you read KD’s posts very closely, it looked like he mostly suspected jjh because of his arcana, regardless of what his true intentions were.

But our negative + BEF roleblock, ended that because when Hya suggested we kill Gamma who was rb’d by BEF over Tris, I knew that was absolutely fucking nuts so I 100% put the kabosh on that. Thank God. she never used her gladiate on Gamma or we 100% wluld have been fucked, so I pretty much panicked after I read that post.

i almost had to believe the claim because i figured it would be tested. and i knew after my N3 death Nancy would be looking for FL relaying a specific private conversation between us, so she'd be able to prove i wasn't in a topic with him. though, FL's ability to wiggle out of a bad situation can't be underestimated.

i protected Haya n1 thinking he might be the kill, and FL because i thought he was a likely kill target if town but also didn't trust him at all. between the two it was obvious that FL was the one to flip. i was trying to bait a kill n3.

credit to Fish and Haya for obvtowning so early they stayed entirely out of the PoE. also thanks to Nancy for townclearing me on D&D interactions. my goal this game was to survive long enough to die on my own and flip a scum, which i did do, even if my reads weren't too great.

Honestly, the only important thing with roles in theme games is that mods don't rely on the standard role names and explain how all roles work independently. I don't like making assumptions so I knew to ask what a hide action meant in the context of this game, but other people don't do that.

Hider I can forgive, but if you’re using a role explicitly conceptualized in the normal queue I think it would make sense to use the normal function. Like, I still think VMP’s role was a complete tire fire, though I’ll apologize for how heated I got about it

I think I should have probably TA’d FL again, because a negative after Tris’ death would be a solid guilty. I once had a role that granted solid innos and conditional guilties, so I think this one was better.

biggest things i'd ding him on:

the earlygame, where he expressed a scumread on tris...

but then parlayed this into pressure on

me

for not agreeing with it, rather than pursuing the scumread any further

and

the dichotomy he established on d2 with me/kd as the "not towny" players

, attempting to influence the venge pool and expand it past N_M, who'd be an easy ML to get later and an inconsequential villager to leave alive otherwise

and

let's not forget that i had the correct read on his initially relatively noncommittal stance towards N_M on d2, before he buckled down for the hard defense

not to take away anything from FL's play! the tunnel was well-executed in that it had me reluctant to scumread him, and i think he certainly makes it deeper in the game if i don't out tris

Yeah, it majorly pinged me when he suddenly scumread me for unvoting you and put hard pressure on everyone to lock sr you.
