1. Someone poisoned me.
2. Someone janitored Flavor.

So there was simply no room for a role block in that.

Which leaves us with the Dunnstral possible explanation that their ability is one in which they are informed of a very obvious failure (i.e., that Finral is dead and therefore did not receive the device)
Even though that would be pretty self-evident.

There's also the issue that android 16 isn't an inventor.

King kai having the ability to read channels and track if other people have moved makes sense, as did Gohan's universal back up, as did Vegeta's ability.

I claimed some sort of variant of a motion detector/Tracker that didn't tell me who someone visited merely that they weren't where they would be if they were vanilla or had no night action.
I also claimed 1 shot neighborhood detect that only worked in the arena phase.

Which is honestly all you need to know to know that I didn't lie about my claim because lol at me coming up with a nuanced role like that,

This is what resulted in my 180 flip. Because A16 being able to do that makes sense to me.

Because of that, and because I would potentially be putting someone else at risk by putting them in there with you, I considered more seriously who might be scum because I didn't really care who went in there besides my town reads and I.
In part because I was worried about HV, in part by scum shenanigans.
