okay
I guess my main question is "why the focus on the cult?" Based on the setup details I guess the cult could end up being quite powerful if allowed any traction but idk what exactly dictated the stuff that happened with the role rand<Embrace The Void>

chance of being VT: 3/5 (12 out of 20 chance to be town) * 1/20 (Vanilla only has one slot) * ~3/4 (the only ones with a chance to change it are the miller-types, as well as if reroll twice rolls a miller-type) = ~9/400
the chance is small but it exists<Embrace The Void>

why is james getting voted? I played with him before and he did some really weird shit and kinda became obvtown because of one of the weird things he did
so like, I'm not inclined to just nod along to people calling james scum unless theres legitimate reason<Embrace The Void>

I lied about not using meta. I do remember that Hunter played a really...interesting game as town in a game I modded he is definitely limbait. not really eager to go there rn.
I don't think Cyrus is scum. at least definitely not cult and I want to get the cult today. so not interested in a vote there either.
tbh still think ssbm is the scummiest person and could definitely be cult.
either them or someone who isn't posting a lot.

If RMH had claimed before Thor I'd be saying the same thing about Thor rn, in reverse. In post 649, SirCakez wrote:Can someone ELI5 why Roberts roll claim makes him scum
Odds of rolling the exact same role seem lower than the odds of him being scum trying to hide what he really rolled (possibly a decent scum PR that one of his buddies or he ended up with)

I'll admit my read rate of cakez hasn't been the greatest but I feel like I'm tuning into the right signal by choosing to follow my scum feelings on him<Embrace The Void>

Who is this directed atIn post 1241, ssbm_Kyouko wrote:Gamma, it's been said seems like he comes into the game with an agenda to push Cakez. James and Gamma can be partnered easily as well. I feel like RMH is definitely town but probably wrong. He seems to be trying though. Marashu, I've been TRing and I see he didnt really see Cakez as scum, let alone cult, so I hope by consolidating on James I can pull you and possibly Robert over. I get the feeling those votes are more out of a fear of no limming rather than an actual desire to eliminate cakez.
If I'm wrong though, convince me. I'll be around, and I will vote/hammer cakes before deadline if needed. I think he'll probably flip town, though his rollclaim could be from scum. Claiming the multiple modifier is one of the safest ways to fakeclaim due to the fudging, and I think Cakez claimed after the other rolecop or roleblocker. Gotta check my notes tomorrow on that too<Embrace The Void>

I could also do James because I can see Gamma/James as partners, and if they are, the cult is possibly a lie to distract from scumIn post 1164, Marashu wrote:

I mean Jesus fuck, you were cult hunting all day and someone rolled cult. Am I really the only one that thinks this is B.S?In post 1151, ssbm_Kyouko wrote:the cult is possibly a lie to distract from scum
My thought process is, if it werent for the existence of cult, I'd be townreading Dwlee and Cyrus, and wouldn't be interested in eliminating either of them today. I'm also thinking James is caught scum, and I didn't want to vote him still, even as sure as I am that he's scum, I didn't want to vote him because of the existence of cult.In post 1166, Marashu wrote:Like, I need to know your thought process kyouko.
I had considered early on that claiming they rolled cult is something scum could do to throw town off the scent, but didn't put much stock into the likelihood of that, until I realized that I'm most interested in voting out Dwlee, who would be completely off the table (for me at least) if this was confirmed singleball. So if scum did fake the cult roll to distract town, it is working on me. It's working on at least half of us I would estimate. I just won a game with Dwlee as town in ELO recently and I would really like to be able to work with him here if possible, so IwantMegA/Gamma to be scum that lied about cult. Iwantto believe there isn't a cult, and if I can flip Gamma and see he's red, I can convince myself to work with Dwlee.
there's very likely other ways to verify there's a cult<Embrace The Void>

why is cyrus getting wagoned? because I'm not gonna support it without good reason, seeing as he's pretty much always been a hasty choice when I've seen him miselimmed and in multiple of those scenarios I was scum who was happy to get rid of him with how troublesome he was to get rid of otherwise<Embrace The Void>

I had a moment D1 where I was like “the way he’s reacting here feels very very genuine so I think he’s town”, I still think the reaction was genuine but now I’m not sure about the town indication of itIn post 1512, redtea wrote:
okay. So how do you think this factors into my overall play/Iso.In post 1510, Gamma Emerald wrote:Pretty sure when I’ve done that “talk about dead people as if they were still alive” thing in the past it’s mostly been as scum

I’ll admit I kinda leapt to calling out what looked vaguely like a double standard but the way you seemed to want me to TR you while being dismissive of what I was saying in response to your accusation felt a bit like you were acting like you were somehow above me, and if there’s one thing I detest it’s misplaced/unfounded authority
I think you might be the only one here who hasn’tIn post 1514, redtea wrote:didn't someone say they've played with gamma before what do they think<Embrace The Void>

I literally had a game rather recently where I got miseliminated for weakly supporting a wagon on someone that flipped scum (I didn’t try to impede the wagon but I never voted there and tried to apply pressure elsewhere)
Following that I think it would be bad play to go “I’m going to go all-in defending my buddy no matter bad it’d look following the flip”
Obviously it’s reasonable to think I’m scum not with Cyrus, but I was kinda wondering where the pressure on me went so I assumed you were thinking that way because I was like “someone has to be thinking this”
Also when someone says “if you’re not scum” it indicates the player is doing something wrong if town. I don’t get why you’d feel like town wouldn’t push what I pushed?<Embrace The Void>
