Just posting in all my games including my alt games to let everyone know that my dad passed away last night, and therefore I expect to be away from the computer quite a bit/unable to put effort into games. If it gets to the point where I need replacement, I will ask for it.

Batt, obviously the response to the first post is much less important than your response to the second post, as the first claims that there was no motivation (remember, lack of stated reasons does not mean lack of reasons) and then the second deals with my later stated motivation. So I will respond to the second one, if that's ok with you.

I have a couple of responses.

1) Besides what you think of my logic, what do you think of my motivations? Do you think I'm creating bullshit logic to obfuscate as scum, or do you think that I am a townie earnestly trying to find reactions who is mistaken in his logic? I'd be curious to your answer to this question much more than whether you disagree with my logic, because it actually might lead you to have an idea about my allignment, whereas stating that you disagree with my logic does not. Remember, both scum and town can have logic you disagree with.

2) In general, in my experience, scum tend to get more anxious about single votes than town do. This is because a lynch to scum is a bigger deal than a lynch to a town. His reaction, to me, signifies anxiousness and not curiosity. The former being the response I would expect to see from scum, the latter from town.

3) If you have those reactions i.e. "If someone votes for me without explanation it is scummy" showcases a general failing in terms of your understanding about mafia, and not a flaw in my logic. There is absolutely nothing scummy about someone voting without explanation. Remember, scummy has a very specific meaning. It means something which mafia is more likely to do than town is likely to do. If you can tell me why mafia is more likely to vote someone without explanation than town, then I will concede the point. Until then, the onus of proof is on you.

4) This is just an aside, but killing the player doesn't do anything. Thats the nature of a bread crumb.

Mafia is a game of looking at interactions and forming opinions about those reactions based on what you believe players motives to be.

Saying "LoL if you were town you would have done this because of this, and if you're scum you would of done it because of this lol." Is completely ::NotHelpful:: If you're honestly scum hunting, then why the hell are you wasting time talking about something which gives you a "neutral read"

How about talking about something that does help us determine who is scum, neh?

lol? Straight up pressuring someone to claim has all of a sudden become role fishing?

I am not fishing.

I want you to claim.

Role fishing is trying to coax a claim out of someone without asking for one, or make someone say something which might make the other player say something that might make you able to guess their role.

Something like

"I wonder if the cop targeted X last night"

is role fishing.

"I think you are scum and I want you to claim because of that"

Isn't.

Add strawmanning in order to make someone attacking you look bad to the list of scumtells you keep dropping.

No, you can't assert something THROUGH my logic, mizzy. I made an argument as to why wifom does not apply in certain situations. If you want to claim that it applies in all situations, then please defeat my logic as to why it isn't. Mafia is a game of arguments. You can't just make assertions PAST the arguments of other players.

I take full responsibility for your lynch? No, I don't take full responsibility. No one is ever completely responsible for a lynch in a game of mafia. However, I do think I was an important part. I do think your lynch had a possibility of not happening today if it weren't for me.

This is the worst game I've ever played on this site. I knew I wasn't going to convince either of you to vote for the other (if they did I was just going to hammer that person pronto)

The only chance I had is if it had been kore at endgame today.

Well played by Destructor and Ort., no question. The set-up was extremely frustrating though, especially for someone like me. It played like a "No Reveal" game where you don't know anything with certainty for the entire time - not who was scum, not what abilities anyone had, nothing.

That was kind of weak by TSQ at the end too. I mean seriously, I don't care if you sucked this game, take a shot man.

It's not weak. The only chance I had is if either of them voted for the other, then I would have to hammer immediately. As it is, they'd both been saying I was their top suspect for like 3 days, so really I had no shot to take,
