I probably need to go through this thread again when I don't feel so busy. NavyCherub's claim seems fine, Cobalt's acting the way I've normally seen him, and TheLonging seems to be a bit off.

You could replace the word "Mafiosos" with "Townies" and you still achieve the same exact thing; a lynch scare-tactic. If you are a bomb, you just told the mafia to not hammer you in the event of a lynch. You also just told them not to kill you in the night, and to focus on someone else. That information benefits the mafia more than the town. Had you kept that to yourself, the mafia could have hammered you, and lost a player. If what you say is true, you should not have claimed it.

Now that you brought Tarhalindur's threat to my attention, why do I think he slipped with the wording?

I'm still unhappy with Tarhalindur, but a Mafia bomb seems a bit swingy to me. I can see Mafia supersaint, though. I might want to look into him a little more to see if Tar being a supersaint can be substantiated.

I said in my second post that I'm unhappy with TheLonging, and looking at him in ISO, I really don't think he's been scumhunting all that much. He's been in the game since it started and I expect him to have an idea of scum right now.

SC, why should tar even have to be a bomb/supersaint if he were mafia? All the ways to confirm those roles involve killing him, so its not like he'd have to make sure it was clear if he were lying or not.

I can't picture scum fakeclaiming something drastically different from their role so early.

I'm not sure how much this tells magnus_orion anything. You took a post of Col.Cathart's and said it made him scum. You have yet to make any further elaboration on why, and all I can figure out that I personally see as scummy is because he had no reads.

I'll admit waffling a bit on Tarhalindur, but right now I view him as borderline town also. His preemptive bomb claim is starting to come off more antitown than strictly scummy.

@NC and SC: It's the same tell I caught scum with in Mind Screw 3. If it's a complicated game then scum are more likely than town to waffle about being lost to avoid having to contribute. As Col.Cathart requested replacement I considered backing off, but the fact that SC has continued the trend makes me think I was right.

Am I misinterpreting the term "waffling" as going back and forth on something? Knowing the kind of mod UncertainKitten is, yes, I expect this to be a complex game. Yes, I went back and forth on Tarhalindur. However, I'm interpreting your statement as saying that I'm going back and forth between having my head and this game and having a full understanding of the entire game. I know one of us is wrong, either in your saying that I'm going back and forth between saying "I'm here" and "I'm lost" or my interpreting you doing so. I am not having a repeat of MtG where I let the game overwhelm me to the point that I get lynched. I'm trying my best in this game with what I can get.

Not only do we have an activity problem, the vote count indicates that we are not in agreement as to who's scummy. I know I'm not scum, and I highly doubt that the mod, Cobalt, Snow_Bunny, TheLonging, and NavyCherub are all lynchworthy.

What are your thoughts about RayFrost? He hasn't contributed much either. How has TheLonging been scumhunting less than Ray?

RayFrost I still have no read on, but an ISO runthrough on both reveals that TheLonging's only vote on a player in the game was on NavyCherub, and that was a policy lynch vote. Policy votes are not, in my opinion, the way to go, especially on Day 1. While most of the same goes for RayFrost, he actually attempted a reasoning on NavyCherub.

I'm voting stragercoug for the same reason as Kai, he seems unwilling to devote himself to a position, although pressed on this he has started to improve in response to questions. He has taken a position on thelonging, but considering the longing is now almost up for replacement and hasn't posted since being voted, it seems like a weak and easily abandoned position.

I took a couple sides before I was pressed on not doing so. Do you expect me to have a mental 11-player list at this point listing everybody from me from townie to scummy?

I don't know about you, but I think depending on the JOAT's abilities, he or she could be very dangerous for scum to keep around.

Isn't it blindingly obvious that I want to use tarh as a supersaint on Snow? My town read on Tarh is weak at best. I hate the WIFOM of keeping him around- in case we decide he is scum later, we'll wind up sacrificing whoever hammers him. And I think SB is very scummy. A handy 2 for 1 deal.

This is good in theory, but in practice I would expect scum to protest vehemently.

While the sentiment is nice, keep in mind that there's no way I'm living until tomorrow without a doc protect. Of course, if CSL is the scum RB like I think he is, then drawing a doc protect will ensure I can get another Night worth of results.

I was blocked on N1 (maybe by the same ability that made me disappear from the game), and on N2 I found Leech is affiliated with town. So, this, unless sanity issues are present, confirms him (well, at least for me).

SB claims to have an innocent ability read on me, which would rule out SK or mafia yes? So if you're suspicious of me, why aren't you equally suspicious of her for claiming what she claimed?

One, it's possible that she has a sanity issue. Two, you stick out more than she does.

RayFrost's role screams like a role cop, which is more common for scum than town to have, and 8:2:2 leaves Discode as scum by process of elimination.

Necropolis? Uh...I'm Netopalis. Anyway, I figured that SC wasn't talking because he was in the scumteam and they were killing me, so I stopped checking.

I work an eight-hour day that does not completely overlap when my parents work, and I take the bus my sister's apartment when I get off as I neither live where the buses run nor drive. She has a computer with Internet access, but I often have to wrestle with it to get it to cooperate, so I rarely get on mafiascum.net from there. I'm buying all the parts for her next computer when my parents tell me they don't need my money, so hopefully something like that won't happen again.
