And I wanna start a bandwagon

Should we replace blackhawk and bunsofsteel? (And half the town?)
And my reasoning for voting rite (If you must know) is that I have never been in a game with Foolster, that you yourself was worthy of a vote on the same basis, and thus was OMGUS/Random sort of vote. If I must try and start a bandwagon on somebody it may as well be someone who voted me......whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Yes, the mod has answered.
A while ago, actually
The question that's been bugging me is whether it is a good idea to reveal it or not. After all, these claims inevitably give mafia fodder to chew on.
After all, Dirge, you have been acting strangely [read: like mafia]. How is non-participation different from lurking? How is the substance of the argument inconsistent? Replace people who aren't here at all, lynch the people who are here but aren't saying anything.
I don't think speculating about mafia at this point HAS any purpose, unless you can conclude that I (or anyone who has claimed since, now) am scum....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Lurking, anyone? Plus this seems to be the only game where Quagmire hasn't:
Vote: Some person
Cos I think he's scum
Or something along those lines. (In other words, metagame reasons)
Anyway, that's four. Let's wait for what he has to say....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Admittedly I too have been neglecting the game somewhat, missing some stuff that was posted. So I do feel sorry for his replacement. He or she better have .. I dunno, role claim, massive input on who is scum.
I noticed that both Dirge and gslamm want to hear what the mod said... at first I thought it was flavour text (to paraphrase, talking to [computer generated dice rolling choice] females on mobile phones) but that was actually an ability. So I guess that confirms Blackhawk's claim in terms of thematic style and go-thru-modness. Though I'm not sure if that is somehow hampered, since it's not direct but through the mod....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Like I said, been a bit distracted by other games. In that case, if blackhawk does send the message through the mod, then it would confirm me, wouldn't it, and/or possibly vice versa. This IS confirmable, and I don't quite see why you are so keen to bandwagon anyone and everyone. FOS: Dirge for that....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Um.. I think that if I was mafia I wouldn't be making up roles because:
1. I'm not that stupid and would have seen this coming. Why would I bother making up new stuff when people were more/less believing in that role claim anyway?
2. I did not talk to a player last night because I didn't know that my role had any abilities last night.
3. You know, in the role PM, how it has a lot of random crap as well as a general description of the role? I thought that was part of that random crap so didn't do anything about it....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

[quote="gslamm"]Wacky: Hate to keep digging like this, and I appreciate that you are attempting to answer the questions as put to you, but here goes.Does your newly found communication ability identify the role/player/both/ that you talk to?Before you say "I don't know" Go back and read my last post (or else!)
Sorry... just kept misreading the question, thinking it was a follow on from the night 1 Q. No, I don't know who I am talking to.
The night WAS long, and a number of people got replaced. If I got a prod, it makes no sense that I would still be wondering about my role now. I don't know why I didn't get a prod, I'm not the mod, but since my ability is more or less 1 way mason thing (assuming scum isn't the Teen Girl Squad) and Night 1's HAVE passed before where mason's don't even say a thing... and if I do recall correctly, I PMed the mod repeatedly on when night was going to end. Perhaps he just figured I have nothing to say and moved on (finding replacements IS very annoying, you know), perhaps he snipped it all and sent it to some random female. [/sarcasm]
And Breakdown, .... can't be bothered explaining mechanics of Day 1, but it's basically accosting people and shaking claims out of them.
Dasquian... rite...you want day to end? The last 3 or 4 times I heard that (though in a game in progress), was from scum just as some innocent person was getting bandwagoned. There is no real hurry for day to end. Maybe, if day lasts long enough, people can identify some scum by the end of it.
I am also particularly attentive of Dirge, who basically has steered all of the bandwagons to this date. Though he may be innocent, this amount of control could be VERY bad for the town if it was in the hands of scum. Why is gslamm and Dirge so keen on distancing one another or are they arguing?...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

I don't get it. It should become clear tomorrow, and all you need to do is wait one night.
Anyway, I'm going toVote: d8p, because like Quagmire, he hasn't been saying all that much (besides a guide to scum as to how to roleclaim and that last post). There's plenty to discuss and I think he might have been hiding out to keep under the radar.
In absence of that, I'm going toFOS: Breakdown. I don't know how you've been dodging a roleclaim, but you have and I want to know why....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Well... that IS a lot of deaths.
Like, assuming 3 mafia, had we not lynched a mafia Day 1 we would need to have lynched one today.
Personally I'm a little suspicious of Saigon and Dirge. Saigon is a little erratic at times.. (voting for self?), Dirge... mainly cos he tried to get me lynched yesterday - plus those two conveniently voted for each other day 1.
Can someone confirm me now *cough* *cough*?...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

um.. whga? I'm very confused right now and unfortunately out of time... If you got info, tell us. Stop making utterly mindboggling arguments that I don't understand.
Since I have no clue how many votes are on Dirge, I'll just FOS: Dirge for now, but I may be back with a vote....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Well...
We have one SK dead (Foolster = Trogdor), one Neutral (Dasquian = Wheelchair), one Road Runner (Carmine)
That's a whole lot of non-pro-town roles.
Anyway, assuming there is 3 mafia even with this setup. One is dead. Regardless of whether Dirge is pro or anti-town, you have the remaining mafia jumping on and offing him. Firstly, that could explain why no-one has jumped on, since whomever jumps on and lynches him is automatically scum by your logic. Secondly, if Dirge was pro-town, you'd still have a 3 town-2 scum endgame, which might not have worked out for scum. Thirdly, maybe all of the scum that isn't Dirge are already on him. Fourthly, I fail to see why that would make mass-claiming work, being Day 2 and all
In other words, still VERY confused. Can somebody please explain who the hell Bubs is, where I can find the 1930s, and why d8p needs to roleclaim, and why Dirge hasn't explained what a fhqwghads does?...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Gah. Can't really not agree with that. The guy wants to be lynched, we go and lynch him, especially if it could be some kind of reverse psychology.
And I'm recently back from having seen about 40-50 strongbad emails, so hopefully I'll have some kind of input tomorrow. Like whether Strong Sad could possibly be some kind of Mafia Traitor or something. Or voting Dirge.
Vote: Saigon....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

hmm....
Well, before we lynch Dirge, I think we need to just clear a few things up, like Blackhawk and his homsar role. Isn't it the same person as Homestar? But more importantly, why did he send the message "CoAch" the same night Coach Z died? How is that even possible? Is it supposed to stand for something or is encrypted and rearranged somehow? (If it is, its a pretty poor choice, seeing how it coincides with a character and all.)...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

1. So d8p claimed Strong Sad.blackhawk - Homsar !
d8P -Strong Sad
Dirge -fhqwhads
gslamm -HomestarRunner !
Saigon -Bubs
Wacky -PomPom !
2. Dirge claimed roleblocker or something.
3. You're "pretty sure"????? What? How could you not possibly know what you were doing?
Like, why did you pick "CoAch" of all things? As opposed to "TeSt1" or "hello" or "5LTxt" or some other variant?...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Uh... So you have a once in the game immunity from kill and once that is used up you are a vigilante? I doubt that claim somewhat. It's unconfirmable, presumable useless at the present stage, and aren't there WAY too many killing roles already? I mean, come on, you have mafia, Trogdor, the Talking Wheelchair, and another friggin vigilante? If you're telling the truth this game is pretty out there.d8P wrote:[Saddam's been captured!]
You want details? You got 'em. I've had enough of being bullied by my brothers. I'm to go crazy go nuts and strap on a rambo headband if they target me (once a game immune). Then I'm able to target someone each night to drive insane by playing Donovan songs on my eukelele.
Well, you asked. The sad truith is that I'm serious
Anyway, I think the mafia must have some seriously powerful roles to balance ours. And I think there's more than one because of the variety of kills.
Anyway the mafia kills have been 2x pummel and 1x faded (which the mod posts suggests is victim specific, not mafia), so no-one really knows.
On other matters... Suddam's been captured. Woo. Not that I like the guy, I just hate Bush more. Oh, right, game.
The above statement made no sense. The Coach is a role. Most investigative roles (with one exception in Mixed Theme) look up players and get their roles, not vice versa. So how could Marzipan investigate Coach Z, without knowing who Coach Z is beforehand?maybe i told Mahzeepan to investigate CoAch?
I just don't understand why blackhawk is so evasive about such as simple question.
So Blackhawk: Does your role specify that you cannot claim any aspect of your role (such as post restrictions)?...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

I almost forgot in the frustration (with d8p and blackhawk) of the previous moment.
Dirge, is there any reason why we SHOULDN'T lynch you? Because once I get some answers I'll be voting for you (probably the lynch vote, seeing how it's 3 to lynch). Your trying to exploit blackhawk's complete obtuseness by voting for him doesn't sound quite right and I'm pretty sure (having ran through a load of HRR related crap ASAP a few days ago) Strong Mad DID leave a message on Marzipan's machine. Will have to check, but if that is right, then shouldn't you, an avid viewer, know about it or something?...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Okay, the case against you would go as follows:
1. Most roles summarises the character they represent. e.g. Talking wheelchair, Eh! Steve - duh. Homsar kinda fits, and so does Pom Pom who calls Marzipan on his cell no more than twice in that segment. Yours doesn't quite fit. I don't think Strong Sad is able to do anything other than putting people to sleep.
2. Your role is also not confirmable. Your supposed vigilante ability can't be used until the mafia tries to kill you, which would be kinda hard if you were mafia, but is also a godfather-like ability. Taking the lesson from Texas, if you are mafia (probably), when you planned the role you probably stuck that in so you could use that eukelelele as your kill method.
3. Guess: Mafia don't have abilities that can work for the town to speak of.
Conclusion: Based on 1, you are suspicious. Based on 2 and 3, you are incredibly suspicious, even more so than Blackhawk and his CoAch (mainly cos he was attacked by Dirge as well, who turned out to be scum).
My first post was basically to make blackhawk to understand without having to read all that....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-

Make up your friggin mind! You wanted to know why I suspect you most, and you got what you wanted.
In fact, you still haven't given a good reason why we shouldn't vote you.
The cheat WAS mafia. See Night 1 (Quagmire(mafia))
I am Pom Pom. One time message to Marzipan.
I didn't say that Strong Sad was mafia. I said thatd8pis mafia. Stop twisting my words.

That theory is flawed. I can't help that blackhawk went and voted the right person for the wrong reason. I don't really care either, as long as the right person is lynched.d8P wrote:It ain't over till the fat lady sings, Blackhawk. phew. This is my first mafia win. Can please gloat now??
Anyway, it wasn't all that tense. I was a bit nervous during the twilight since d8p didn't seem annoyed or unhappy at being dead, at all.. it was like "can strong sad kill people when he's lynched?"
Can't really believe I managed to live that long given day 1 actions. First I looked at the tapes thing. Thought that Pom Pom was the most obvious role not taken. so I claimed that. Then I realised (gradually) that everyone had a role. Then I remembered the note, and figured I'd try to kill Marzipan the day I was confirmed. Then blackhawk claimed a weaker version. So I had to change it to 1 PM only.
Thanks, mod!
More importantly, thanks d8p! Though you could have acted as scum a whole lot better early on, your delibrately suspicious behaviour got me the game at the end....whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-
