I am curious as to what assumptions everyone else makes about what their role PMs say and suggest that we share some of our assumptions --

Firstly, just because we're split into two groups is no excuse for not commenting on or not scumhunting players in the other group. We're all in the same game and chances are there'll be another flash before the next lynch anyway. I think we basically need to play as if there's not two groups.

Secondly, on the time skip speculation on page 6, it clearly states in the rules:

03. Every [amount redacted] hours, a time skip will occur. This shift will reshuffle the groups and reset the votecounts.

It's a bit disconcerting to think that there may be players with important PRs who haven't read the special mechanics yet.

TNM, what of Cal's play has been both calculatedly scummy and completely excused by Faraday's playstyle reputation? Really. Because I hear the terms 'complete allowances in terms of play' and 'get away with murder' and I think of moves more intentionally and profitably scummy than voting me for a very early post and getting away with not explaining it. Or, do you really think that Faraday-Cal's playstyle idiosyncrasies are opaque enough to cover anything truly and dangerously scummy better than most other experienced players' playstyles?

I was talking about playing games of mafia more generally and what frustrates me when players base reads more on playstyle they've come to expect from another player rather than content etc, which to me is dangerous.

Lady went from calling for Cal's lynch to calling him town, and what was the only change between these two extremes? she found out it was Faraday. If Cal IS scum, then I'd consider that that is, and I use it as a figure of speech, getting away with murder. However, in this case I can understand that a great deal of Lady's change in heart was due to the fact that she now knew Cal was not a newbie rather than it was specifically Faraday, as it is harder to believe that a player with experience would make the scum error that we were suspecting Cal for.

Lady calling Cal town though is the dangerous part to me, as it must be based entirely on an expected playstyle from Faraday or else she wouldn't have been so sure he was scum earlier.

Here is the piece de resistance, in my book. Dram scum refusing to hammer either me or ABR. The reasoning for not hammering me is fairly obvious from the LLD!town perspective. Callador was all about me being town and a lynch on me at that point would incur his wrath. Further, Dram had called me town prior to this situation developing, so hammering me would look real bad for him.

Of course, there is also the simple "LLD is scum I won't hammer her" explanation too, but why then would Dram not hammer ABR?
