Never occurred to me; I don't teamhunt on Day One, as it's useless to so do without flips. however, I have not yet ruled out the possibility that Whiskers is scum. Avoiding questions is very, very bad. As is selective reading.-

In your first point, I belive you meant "votes" instead of "posts" -- it reads correctly when using the word votes.
In your second point, to whom do the referents "him" and "he" refer -- me? If so, I fail to see a "jarring" unvote and revote from me; as you pointed out in you first point, those have been (and still are) my only votes in the game thus far.
For ease of reference, here is the linked post from above (#78):

As forthe above points out at least one of your 'selective reading' episodes. If I have to explain it for you in detail, I will. Just ask.WHISKERS,
Also, my "silly question" still stands: Is English your native language? I will not let this go. Please answer.-

I have played with many players for whom English is a hindrance, because it's not their native language. This is a game of text, of argument, of debate. It helps to have a facility with the language in which you are arguing.
Thus the question. I believe it would shed some light on whether Whiskers is deliberately avoiding certain things, or whether certain things said could be either a scumslip or an innocent language-slip.
I'm not impressed by Whiskers' arrogance in not answering a simple question.

I see your reasons, but I don't think Whiskers' English is bad or not understandable, thus I don't find the question was needed.
Whether you think the question was needed is irrelevant.
I still want an answer, although it's evident that I won't be getting one, and therefore, I fully believe Whiskers is scum. There's no point in avoiding that question. None whatsoever. It's sheer arrogance and anti-town behavior.-

Why Whiskers is being accused of selective reading:
In post 78, Whiskers wrote:Nopony Special! Why are you changing your votes around so much?
Unvote: ...Idr.
Vote: Nobody Special
Vote: Killer Jester
1: For lurking and changing votes without explanation.
2: Same reasons as before.
Also, AV is acting scummy, why?
Here, you ask why I'm changing votes; if you had actually read the thread, you'd see that I only made one vote post up until this point.
In post 82, Whiskers wrote:Nice to see you have no good reason for your vote, Christine.
And it was a question for AV; "Why are you acting scummy?"
Welcome, protoplasm. Are you scum?
Please note that these two posts are immediately adjacent. Whiskers' post was less than half an hour after the Mod post. ThAd's post very clearly states that Voidedmafiareplacesprotoplasm. However, Whiskers welcomes protoplasm to the game. It is this instance that made me question whether Whiskers is a native English speaker or not. Anyone fluent in Englishshouldknow that if "A replaces B" then you no longer have a B, because A has replaced B. Now that Whiskers has finally answered that she is indeed a native English speaker, the only option that I am aware of is that she has been skimming over the game. Town players usually do not skim over details such as this.
In post 162, Whiskers wrote:
Also, I don't answer stupid questions. For more info, see, "What timezone are you in?"
Just to clear it up, though, I typed out the wrong name-- protoplasm instead of VoidedMafia.
This doesn't speak to selective reading, but it does convince me that Whiskers is not town. Town would have no reason not to answer pretty much any question put to them, whether it seems game-related or not. Answering questions, and asking questions of other people is the basis of this game.
Also, I believe that town would be more careful in who they address their questions to; they would like to keep track of the outstanding questions, to whom they were asked, and why there is no answer yet. On the other hand, scum tend to ask a lot of questions without worrying about whether they get an answer, and so they don't keep track or follow up. It's largely carelessness, but it's a valid tell.
In post 210, Whiskers wrote:
It is so not important and I don't feel it has any bearing on the game. However, that's all you're doing, Nopony Special. There's really nothing in this game that you can comment on but "Whiskers, is english your first language?"In post 209, nintendoaddict1 wrote:Okay, I'm not liking how much of a thing NS is making out of the original question.
NS, why is it so important to know if English is Whiskers' first language?
It is important to me, and I think that your blanket rejection of any question that YOU don't feel is important is decidedly anti-town. Given my case above, we can now see why the question was important to me, and, by extension, to the town. Also, scum sometimes have an arrogance about them; I've seen it many times, and I think I'm seeing it again.
In post 238, Whiskers wrote:
Nopony Special, my first language is, indeed, English. I don't like giving small details (You'll notice that I won't tell you what timezone I'm in). Where do you think I was selectively reading, now that you can't focus on a stupid little thing? Hmm? I asked you that before, but you never answered me, and it, unlike YOUR question, was related to the game.
Thank you for finally answering. Additionally, I don't really give a shit whether you "like" giving small details or not. A pro-town person should answer very nearly any question put to them, whether they think it has bearing on the game or not. And earlier in this post, I address your selective reading issues.-

Game-specific Rule #2 clearly states that there is a potential for a double-hammer, and that only the first instance of such will be acknowledged. Thereafter, there is the possibility of only one hammer per day.
Please, people, it's a gameaboutintensely involving language. Learn to fucking read.-

My top vote is Whiskers. nintendo is a very, very close second, though.
Also, massclaiming before we have any flips AT ALL just seems.... pointless. I mean, seriously, you're gonna get 12 claims of VT. And then wherre will be be? It's not like there ARE any other roles aside from VT and Goon.
Did you even read the setup?
Fine. I'll play your game, idiotic as it may be.
I'm VT.

I do not understand the phrase "flipping tables." Can you clarify or reword? (I'm assuming it's something along the lines of 'flipping out' but I want to make sure.)
No, my Role PM does not actually have the word Vanilla in it. It's just my default phrase; and it's what I always use when writing games, so it's second nature to me. It does say I don't have a gun, though.-
