I think Coron already explained this rather well. At this point, it's best for me to want nobody but myself win the Farkle game.kilmenator wrote:
Unless you know that coron is not pro-town, you have no reason not to want him to do well.Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:Vote Coron.
He's likely to reach 10000 very soon this way. We'd better lynch him before he does.
Yes, it was because of the night actions. While that alone isn't enough for a case, it's usually a thing that gets a wagon going. Then, according to the defending player's responses, you can unvote or stay on the wagon. Nocmen's responses haven't really been satisfying. That's probably because he's been lurking lately.kilmenator wrote:
Why are you voting him? Because he speculated on night actions? You seem a little vote jumpy to me...Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:Unvote, Vote Nocmen. Looks good.
Still waiting for my turn
Ya so?kilmenator wrote:
This quote is intersting just because CES's vote is not even on Coron at this point, it is on Nocmen...Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:Are we ready to lynch Coron yet?
The rest of the town, yes. But you don't know who the rest of the town is, and therefore you should only root for yourself.kilmenator wrote:Also, about the math thingy and the encouraging to keep rolling ... the fact that I have no points would encourage me to want the rest of the town to do the best that they can right?-

The purpose of using a gimmick is to hide your identity from the other players, so excuse me for not answering to your first question.Seol wrote:CES, who are you really? Are you an alt for the original CES, or for someone else we know? If this is common knowledge I apologise, I haven't been around much recently and am thus behind the times.
I don't like his arguing the Coron lynch without voting Coron. CES, why are you doing that?
As for the second one, I'm not completely sure why I'm not voting Coron, but I think I've said enough about him to make my stance clear without having to reflect that stance in the votecount. A vote on Coron wouldn't be of any practical value, really.
The only other lynch I'd agree with is one on Nocmen. Hence my vote for him. Also, the 'wagon on Nocmen, as opposed to one I could try to start on Coron, has got more than one follower, which is pretty crucial for a good 'wagon.-

I can see good meta-reasons why a vig would fire night 0. Also, since he's revealed, it's best to keep him alive. We can tell him who to kill each night, and basically make him the town's second lynch, even if he's the sk. That said,Unvote. If the mafia are dead and the game isn't over yet, we know who to lynch, at least.
Keeping scums alive is an undervalued tactic."This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

Well.. You could say that if I was attacking Coron relentessly yesterday, it wouldn't be wise for a scum at all to kill him. I'm disappointed to find him town, though.
I'm also wondering why Coron's vanilla-ness was revealed, when no roles were revealed after night 0."This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

Well.. I guess people are waiting for some sort of defense of mine. I believe the only point I'm being wagoned for at the moment is that I attacked someone who's confirmed town quite a lot yesterday.
All I have to say in my defense is that I was attacking Coron for a metagame reason. He acted strange, and that was enough for me to make him my suspect, seeing as there was hardly anything else going on yesterday. This and the fact Coron was leading in the Farkle game made him my first choice."This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

I'd already said that. It was the 'acting strange' part of my post. Also, with the metagame, I meant the fact that he was leading the Farkle game (not sure if that qualifies as metagaming, but you get the point).Dagger wrote:@CES: Then, you should have stated you have a metagame reason to go after Coron on Day 1, right? Instead of claiming it was due to gut feeling when asked?-

If you think like this, there wouldn't be any good reason for a town roleblock to block someone ever. Unless you're 100% sure someone's scum.Dagger wrote:So... why in the world would you want to block Coron even if he won the Farkle game? If he was town, the ability he gained could have helped us a lot. And that's not to mention if Coron might in fact be using a pro-town ability Night 1.
Kilmenator's being paranoid, and I'm getting bad vibes from her too. I know that I'm not really in the position to attack someone right now, so that's just for the record.-

Random Notes, made under the assumption I'm town:
- Coron was killed to incriminate me.
- The mafia wants to have me lynched today.
- Kilmenator and/or Thesp is scum. Thesp is trying to set up chain lynches, and this conversation they're having is sketchy. I don't really like Kilmenator's posts today either.
- TheAdmiral is trying to set up chains too, and his posts are blah.
- We need to hear from the lurker.Nai, could we get prods/replacements/modkills?"This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

Do you actually know what WIFOM is? This is in no way WIFOM. As I said, these are notes made under the assumption that I'm town.kilmenator wrote:1.WIFOM
Well, if note 1 is true, that means the mafia killed Coron to get me lynched today. No matter who's on my wagon, that was the initial plan.kilmenator wrote:2.How do you know scum want you lynched and not someone else? Because you have the biggest wagon? Are you positive that scum are trying to lynch you and not that pro-town players see your play as anti town?
I've given my reasons in my previous post. I could make long sentences that mean exactly the same as what I said already, but instead I won't.kilmenator wrote:3. I am town and I get the feeling that Thesp is town too, mind elaborating on why you think one or the other of us is scum?
Deflecting from what I said myself? I don't really know what point you're trying to bring across here. If you mean I'm trying to deflect from my own wagon, point 1 to 3 are far more deflective than 4 and 5, and everything someone said in his defence is basically deflecting.kilmenator wrote:4 and 5- Deflecting-

Because:Thesp wrote:
Mafia is a game in which there is a group of people pitted against an ungrouped people. I am indeed looking for links between players. I'm confused as to why you think that is a bad thing. Can you clarify?Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:
You're trying to link others constantly.Thesp wrote:Howso on the chain lynches? I don't see it.
1) You're sometimes quite stretching in finding links between people.
2) It unhelpful talking about links that make the death of a townie incriminate someone else. It's what the mafia did last night, and it's what you're trying to do to.-

Okay, so here's the thing.
Bertrand's latest posts are bothering me. He hardly gives any opinion in his posts, and he went from 'CESc is probably the best candidate for a lynch, but I don't feel comfortable lynching him' to 'CES is the pretty much the lynch for today' without any reasoning.
ThAdmiral's posts stand out too. He's really eager to lynch me. In fact, he acts like he's got a guilty on me, while I know this isn't possible.
Admiral:You don't have to answer this question, but from my position I know it would be good if you'd answer it. If you've got a guilty on me, would you mind revealing this? I think everyone noticed that you appear to be 100% sure I'm scum, so there's not really much to lose. Rereading from day 1, it seems you didn't get a guilty on anyone that day, so if you're a cop and you've got a guilty on me, you're probably insane, and your night 0 target's scum.
I think we don't have to direct the vig at this point, but it might be necessary later on in the game. I don't see why directing would be bad. If it's because there's scum in the town, lynching would be bad too, since the lynch target is likely to be affected by scum."This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

Okay, so I'm back from a week of vacation.
There hasn't been much posting, but i haven't had the time to read everything through carefully yet.
About the miller thing: I have no reason whatsoever to believe I'm a miller. There's nothing in my pm that implies millership, and I haven't got any other reason to believe I am.
Everyone could be a miller without being aware of it, and that's the reason I said this the way I did.
I'll try and post some more content tomorrow. I missed quite some sleep last week."This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

Hmmkay, so here's my beloved post. I'm terribly busy, and I'm trying to find the time to post here, but it sure ain't easy.
I understand why people want to 'just a little better than no lynch' me, but I think there are better options. Jordan's been acting scummy, as well as his predecessors, and I'm also still getting bad vibes from bertrand.
I'll try to post at least once more before deadline, but I'm not sure if I can make it.
Also, mod, is the deadline on Wednesday 8th or Friday 10th?"This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

If you'd actually read well, you'd see that I was on vacation in that period. I said this to the mod beforehand, but wasn't replaced (probably because it's hard to find replacements).
I don't know/care if I'm lynched, really. If the game continues, make sure death_omen and Jordan die asap.
That is all.
