Hi Guys. DA-G-EN-2 here.

Unfortunately it's been quite a while since my re-read, so I'm, er, going to have to do another one. IIRC, PWS looked pretty darn dodgy.

THe fact that we had one 'enemy of the computer' and one non-enemy die at night indicates either vigging or switching.

Yup. Three points from my read:

1. All the RP was annoying
2. I'm very confident Mojo is town
3. PWS is the scummiest at the moment

So it is possible that Sarcastro tried to kill TCS and got it redirected upon himself.

Though much more likely he was simply the NK with the scum concluding he was unlynchable, so must be NKed.

Really want to hear PWS answer Flay's question (and preferably the earlier ones from Mojo which he dismissed as fishing) before going further.

Well, you've already refused to give role information in the past, so I think it shows that you're worried about a pattern. No one else seems to share that concern.

But totally aside from the lack of clearance, I'm voting you because you didn't suspect Stevie on Day One, you doubt that the Communists are scum, and you went after Sarcastro before he ended up dead and apparently pro-town.
He didn't just not suspect Stevie. He actively defended him, based on the notion that his violet clearance might make him someone important.

Apart from PWS' refusal to share information? His refusal is a pretty damn huge scumtell. If PWS were town, he'd know that he could reveal his clearance level, whether or not he was in a secret society, and whether he was a mutant, without giving out any role information whatsoever. The fact that he was unwilling to do so, indicates that he doesn't know whether town might have different answers to those questions to the ones in his PM, and doesn't want to answer for fear of slipping up.

TCS, choices from last night? Fonz, any opinion on security clearances today?

I'd strongly prefer a Venkman lynch, on the grounds that Killajay's vote, I believe, was his first post on mafiascum. I dont' think we should give him a free pass on it, but it's not enough to lynch on alone. Whereas Venks shoulda known better than to hammer sans chance of claim. Plus, I was getting a generally bad kinda vibe offay him.

I remain convinced that Flay and TCS are town.

How so? Venkman's vote was far more crucial to the PWS quicklynch than Killajay's. I can see a newbie townie replacing in, and immediately voting the person they find scummiest/going along with an apparent consensus. I cannot see a non-noob player like Venks, if town, quickhammering without giving the opportunity to claim.

Peter- I have certainly NOT alluded to a power role. I claim vanilla townie. I waited until you and Jay had posted, so my information didn't give away what the townie role looks like
until after you'd committed to a claim
.

Right. This is why I think you're lying. I myself am a vanilla townie
in effect
. I am a mutant, and a member of a secret society. I have a mutant power, but it is bastard modded such that it is of no use to man nor beast. It is my belief, having seen TCS' predecessor's claim, that all town roles are, in fact, both mutants and in secret societies, and there are no vanilla townies
per se
, just players with weak or useless mutations- this would fit the flavour, since all player characters are mutants. This is why I was so damn suspicious of PWS- if his PM was in the same format as mine and he was a townie, he'd have known he could have given the information requested without giving up ANY role information. That he didn't know this suggested powerrole or scum. This is also why I was particularly pissed off at Venks for the quickhammer.

Do the rules state that everyone has a mutant power? 'Cause Venkman and Killajay both denied it, and the former didn't come up enemy of the computer.

I am sure TCS is town. I think Flay likely is. I am planning to vote CO today.

Yes, that's right, Flay, there's so little reason to vote for the guy who's barely registered on my radar for good or ill, all game, over the guy who has consistently given me the impression that he's viewing the game from a similar perspective to mine, (see your replacing in and appearing to spot the same kinda thing in PWS as I did, amongst others). I could be wrong. But I believe TCS, therefore Killajay did not NK, and I find your claim stronger, and your general play townier, than CD's. Hence, the vote.

I will definitely not vote anyone but CD or Flay today, since I believe TCS and therefore killajay was not last night's killer. I've set out my reasons for believing Flay over Diablo. The one thing that concerns me is that Flay's claim fits in SO nicely with my own.

Flay, is there anything in the wording of your PM that you think might hint at the ineffectiveness of your power?

That confuses me. If both killa and CD were scum, why did they not win when flay was lynched? That puts it at 2-2, there should have been no need to go to night. But it can't be the case that only one is, since then there'd be two town alive and the game would still be going?

My thinking there was that your refusal to reveal security clearance/society membership etc made you likely scum, since I knew that that information in my own PM was not game-relevant. Since you didn't appear to know that, my impression was that you were scum who didn't know that the town society memberships, etc, were unrelated to role (since the scum ones undoubtedly were role-related, the society being communists and all).
