Initial thoughts:
Most of the players in this game are pretty much useless.
Of those that it is possible to get a read on, I have to agree with much of what's being posted right now. Phate is likely scum, and I can definitely see Miztef as a scumbuddy. If I had to pick the scum right now, I'd say them and one of the lurkers. Flyinghawk and MoS seem town, neutral on Elmo. FL makes decent posts, but he's extremely reactive and answers other people's points rather than making points of his own. Not sure if this is a playstyle thing or not. There was one post from YuanTi that I really didn't like as it effectively said "let's banter randomly until somebody screws up, then we can all jump on them". Other than that, I don't really have a read on anyone else.

I just entered the game, I can't qualify as useless. I'm talking about people who lurk continuously and never give opinions (skitzer, for example). I'm giving opinions, and the fact that I'm not necessarily supporting them with clear evidence in my post doesn't mean anything. Maybe I agree with what's already been said; maybe I'd rather keep my reasons to myself; maybe I don't feel like posting them. You don't know why I didn't, so don't jump to conclusions. Not having reads
on people who never post
doesn't make me useless, it makes them useless. I really don't see how there was anything wrong with SJ either, and if you think you can judge how I'm going to play this game based on my one post, you're wrong.

Phate wrote:Oh, and btw: Consider me an official supporter of the MoS wagon (not that two votes are much of a wagon). In fact, just to get it in bold:

Vote: Mastermind of Sin

That said, I think Miztef is almost as scummy, for different reasons, and would be an official supporter of that wagon also.
Don't like this post at all. I've already FoSed you though, so that would be redundant.

I'm not "trying to clear myself". I just can't be expected to answer for him, as I don't know his thinking, etc., etc. But I mean, attacking SJ at this point serves little purpose.

I'd say analyzing the pros/cons thouroghly inthread and basically handing the mafia their best strategy isn't a good idea, simply because it doesn't do anything for the town. If everyone wants to individually figure out what the mafia should do, great, but there's not much point.

Basically, I agree with SSF.

You have been so useless this game, it's not even funny. I haven't been much better, but at least I made a couple non-one-liner posts that weren't just rehashing things everyone else had already said.
Cephrir: What do you think of skitzer's behaviour, and why is it scummy?
He can argue that it's playstyle all he wants, but he has yet to contribute anything substantial to the game. Not helpful = scummy.

I'd be good with a Phate or skitzer lynch today, just for the record.

Condorcet voting, maybe?
Sounds good.
I also think we should discuss what to do about the cop power, whether whoever gets it should investigate whoever they want, or whether we should nominate someone to be investigated.
Scum could kill the target to screw with us/effectively make us not get an investigation.

I don't like listmaking, because I think it gives the scum too much information.

But, based on this post, which strikes me as opportunistic (though I admire the honesty)...

I will also admit I was part of the No lynch movement and Massclaim epoch. They were both interesting ideas in this situation, and although they both turned out to be unfavorable, I don't think the average scum would know exactly how to deal with each situation.
Hey, I forgot about that. Also, the rest of you argument after this point is largely irrelevant because you're missing the point. You were important in starting all three movements, all three of which benefit the scum. Every time you post, lately, I want to lynch you more.

I did, actually, and yeah, it's pretty short. Thin_Man is worse, though, to me.
Thin_Man stopped posting as of December 30. In fact, his last post anywhere on the site is January 3. He is someone who obviously needs to be replaced (I think the mod is overloaded as is... so I'm sure he'll get around to it.)

Cephrir, on the other hand, is staying active but continuing not to say anything.

There's a HUGE difference between a lurker and someone who is no longer on the site. Disappearance is basically a null-tell. It happens to both townies and scum.
What I don't get is why people get on my case about this but not skitzer's.

I want the Miztef thing both ways for different reasons. The logical/good player half thinks we should definitely back off and explore other options if at all possible. But I know we've done that, and we've done it and done it and done it, and it's not working. Obviously nobody's going for Phate or MoS enough to get a sizeable wagon (on either of our other general semi-suspects, as in, at least a few people have expressed suspicions of them). We should probably make absolutely sure we get to use the powers at least once-- but that basically ensures all the scum claim trium and we are guaranteed to lynch a townie. Also, a little sidenote: is it just me, or did Miztef go into wall-of-words mode when he came under pressure? Weird.

The other half of my opinion is the one reflecting on this game right now, which is exasperated and really just wants to lynch someone, anyone, to get this awful day over with.

Well, there is a chance he'll die overnight and/or get investigated overnight. Investigating and protecting him is probably our best play, but if we don't get the doc power the scum probably still won't kill him, and if they do, that's fine as well.
