Skim vibes are good on Relly, and Baltar. Ydrasse I think is good, but I want more since I've played with her when she was both town and scum, and there's a tone/vibe difference. Dats I can't tell if he's channeling IRL frustrations, or if he's less townie than I want him to be. Nero is... Nero. He's always a bit of a dick(affectionate) but no more or less than usual, so nothing pings bad. marci and Ari I got no idea about, this just seems like them being themselves which has nothing alignment to it. FB is also about on par with what I expect, might actually be leaning town there but maybe I'm just fond of him. DV this reminds me of the last thing I played with him but for the life of me I can't remember what his alignment was so once I look it back up, I figure out if that means he's scum or not. FiRS is just a guy who is here, he's blending into some other people's posts where he'll have to be somebody I iso-think about to get a proper read. Datisi hasn't pressured me actually. Which makes me suspicious because if Datisi remembers me as the one who "ripped through town" in that one game, then he must have due cause to pressure me. Also, when prompted by Nero, he gave up assessing my meta at the mere sight of the word "daddy". I believe Datisi would have spent some proper time sorting me. Datisi is also bolder to announce his reads, however bad. He also tries to create a townblock in my experience. That doesn't happen here. His participation does not influence this game, which is pinging my bottom.

Regarding the Datisi townread, when I've seen Datisi stressed as scum it has come across more subtly than posts such as 308, which seems to more obviously communicate him being annoyed. 311 and 529 and 540 continue to focus on being misunderstood on a single thing. I think Datisi as scum in this instance would compensate by trying to look town in other ways rather than be fixated on righting this one wrong - (reason for this is that people are generally not going to "like" the fact that Datisi continues to try defending this one point even though imo it's more townie than scummy depending on the player)

GL walked back a "cop crumb" and i think scum who would have dropped something like that would have made it more ambiguous or walked back on it later in the game.

Ydrasse is a "sharp" and "fun" Ydrasse and not a "blurry" and "stressed" Ydrasse and i think that makes it more likely that she's town. i wish there's better way to articulate that. my reservation was i thought she was bullshitting the early reaction test. i dismissed the train of thought because her explanation seemed plausible.

I count 5 reads out of 19 players. Zero scum, or anything generally that doesn't have the flavor of lukewarm milk. It's a pointless list to make other than it looks like effort. I know you're better than that.

to view it as 5/19 is a choice. first of all, if we're using the same unfair standards as you're putting in through, it would be 6/19. second, i dont understand, what would you have expected me to do? third, do you have better reads at that point in the game?

I mean, maybe Hems list wasn't so bad after all. Like maybe it's a little weird to differentiate the strength of your town reads with "likely" and "probably" and not do that for scum reads. Using POE for all the scumreads also seems a bit odd to me but no one else said anything about it besides us.

first thing that i wanna address is hem's 1273, and the posts related to it. from what i can gather, the similarities are that i'm dismissing your earlier read on me as invalid for ~reasons~, and i'm trying to discourage it by calling the conversation boring.

i think the problem is that you made a connection with one singular thing i did this game that's not what you'd expect of me, and then made the callback to that other game. because, like i said before, i to the ask-questions-make-reads-later pattern, *but* the thing that i noticed about ari at first, i figured it's not actually that good of a basis for making reads. this isn't uncommon to me, i often ask q's and then seemingly "ignore" the response because i realized that it doesn't actually give me anything. a similar thing happened here, except i had that realization in the middle of typing the thing.

i do see why you'd think the latter part, though. because i definitely *was* trying to end that conversation. fmpov, you were harping on about a minor point that was not correct, and i had explained why it's not correct, and you were not buying it despite me explaining already. and the only thing i can do in that moment is explain it again, which probably won't do anything. and that's boring. maybe "boring" isn't the exactly right word, the more accurate feeling would be "can we PLEASE be doing something other than this".

having said all of that, i can understand why you'd draw parallels of my play here with my play that game, so. and i kind of like you'd made that parallel, i think.

HEM check: Also somebody who makes me smile to read. A bit more aggressive style, but it's consistently so and not defensive or mean. It works for me. It's a lot more reactiony, which is fine. That being said, it feels like he's got cards to play but he's keeping them to himself and only teasing hints of them now and then. I don't think it's AI. It's just more, has a reason to only share thoughts when they're relevant and the most likely to get genuine reactions from their thoughts. Precise is probably more correct. It reminds me of what I've liked from FlavorLeaf in the past. I largely feel good about him. It's just as possible this is just good scumplay, but nah I don't think so.

this is my first game on this site (and i'm new to mafia in general - i was just googling places to play forum mafia because i've been part of it in an irl group and enjoying it), so i apologize if i come off as newer with some basic things. i wanted to join a newbie game first but was also anxious to get started. if anyone can update me on anything mechanical that's happened, or anything like that (or any general tips) i'd appreciate it. overall i'm pretty good at telling when people are lying irl, but i'm not sure how well it'll translate to the forums (though i think in general i'm good at reading people?) so i'm looking forward to getting some practice in this game. i was also kind of dreading a mafia role PM so i'm a bit relieved to be town.

but anyway, cliff notes and such would be appreciated. i realistically will try to read back in bits but getting through 66 pages seems impossible. oh also, i figured out how to isolate people so if there's names i should look at and such, i'd be glad to
