Er, not really. This is pretty much the first game I started playing with spyrex, or with any of you besides VP. I got little reason to believe he is scum, so I look at him as town.
I was in another ongoing with spyrex, but I´d not think talking about that is a smart idea.

Also, how stupid you could call this reasoning, I had some reasoning to not be voting for Mastin, at that time. I wanted to hear from the not-posters first.
I just verified this actually ^ _ ^

I'm more interested in your voting patterns prior to that personally.

The whole thing where you were waiting to hear about the lurkers that is.

You had stated a willingness to vote for Mastin.

Jammer's voting patters actually do look interesting.

For one who didn't end up on the lynch on day 1, Jammer's vote moved around a lot. I still need to look in more detail but have spotted votes in an iso read on Gieff, Cephrir, and Spyrex.

On days 2 and 3 his vote doesn't really move much at all, but his vote still seems to find it's way onto the lynching bandwagon in each instance. This looks very off now that I think about it.

I'm not really liking this Battle Mage wagon at all. The way KMD and Jammer hopped off the other's wagon in favor of his is not sitting right with me.

I find myself seeing Battle Mage as more likely town at this point.

Well I just looked at the vote count and noticed that support for a KMD lynch has collapsed.

After their blatant coordination in attempting to get BM lynched, I am fine seeing either lynched at this point.

Unvote: Vote: Jammer

My opinion of Battle Mage's play hasn't really changed. My conclusion of his likely alignment is what has.

Honestly, I'm feeling town vibes from Battle Mage now.

Benmage's survival has actually been pretty deep for someone who's supposed to be "obv town."

Not really liking the early votes, but if there is no quick hammer, it's highly likely that at least one of Ben and Battle mage are scum.

I figured out that Battle Mage was town sometime during day 4, but still, the votes came pretty quick from you guys. :P

I pretty much saw day 3 as the climax of the game. We should have lynched Spyrex then, but Gieff hit the noose anyway.

Word. If it wasn't for the fact that we had two mislynches due to lurkers which equaled 4 free deaths.

I would've hounded DDD, but SF was practically the same for most of the game, and at times worse so I didn't know which one to go for and ended up ignorin both.
This should be a big lesson in the ability to distinguish between flake lurking, and active lurking (the latter is scummy and the former is null.)

I'll admit that I failed to make that distinction in this game myself.

Gieff's self vote was really blown out of proportion after he did it.

Strangely enough it wasn't his actions, but the opportunism of the wagon that convinced me he was town.

GIEFF wrote:Sorry, town. Both for the bad play and for the self-hammer. Very soon before that self-hammer, another ongoing game was going to make me look much scummier to a few players who were key to keeping me alive (especially if Spyrex flipped town). I should not have done it, though - I don't know why I started doubting my Spy-case, but I did, and foresaw that if I was wrong about that, it would lose the game for us.

Yaw, your modding really was very unfair. We lynched two lurkers that you refused to replace, which allowed us (well me, anyway) to allow DDD's lurking strategy to continue to work. It's not right of you to blame "spew" for your refusal to replace those who so clearly deserved it. If the mod refuses to remove non-contributing players, what other choice does the town have but to lynch them?
I think that's more on the players themselves for trying to stay in a game they couldn't keep up with.

At any rate, I don't really think we have an excuse for not lynching DDD as town.

Because it later became quite clear that if I was wrong, I myself would be lynched the next day, which would effectively end the game.

If I had actually tried to read the entire game, I probably would have gone the way of Mastin and Cephrir.

I managed to stay caught up from late day 1 on by simply giving up the notion of ever being able to entirely read the game.

Return to “Completed Large Normal Games”
