Pops, it's more about the weirdness of how Mae's read on Spyre completely flip-flopped. Going off on CSL simply coincided with the gap between her Spyre reread and the post she made where her opinion on Spyre's alignment flip-flopped. The whole thing about CSL was a huge overreaction on her part, and I find it difficult to believe she's so worried about CSL-scum since she's already experienced CSL's style of play, which is scummy by default even when town.

She didn't forget to respond about Spyre, necessarily. After she allegedly reread, she said that she still didn't find him scummy.

I've played with CSL-town and CSL-scum.

The CSL-scum instance, CSL was so obv scum that he was going to get lynched (we lynched n00bs before that), and the cop had a guilty on him too.

CSL-town was an odd night doc that was forced to claim D1 cuz he was so scummy ("I'm gonna claim if anybody puts me at L-1!!!") and he got NKed N1.

I've played with mae-town, but not mae-scum. Same game as CSL-scum, mae lurked the

entire

game.

Her current play contradicts that experience.

CSL called maemuki town in the CSL-scum game (mae wasn't in the CSL-odd night doc game).

4. because of that, you can stretch out how long I help town to however long you feel comfortable

5. because of that, lynching me now serves no benefit to town except to decrease the amount of flips desired by town by 1 as well as waste a current lynch on me when it could be used elsewhere

That is the only two issues. I propose lynching him two days from now, you propose lynching him today. A few weeks discussion on the other two lynches versus 2 daykills IS the only difference.

And Rayfrost is letting us direct the kills, their ours. He's an altruistic SK. The likelihood of him being daykilling scum is close to zero.

Quit sticking to "rules of thumb". Analyze the pros and cons of this decision and tell me it's right to lynch him without appealing to some rule of thumb that has some stronger rationale hiding behind it. The very phrase rule of thumb implies there's exceptions, this is one of them.

I'm a doomed to die SK with nothing to lose hoping to live out a few more days in hopes that people forget his role so that he can later say he's a dayvig if people get back to him and then avoid dying that way and live in endgame.

The only way in hell that I'll be able to win in this situation is if I manage to get rid of the scum, or they'll take me out, which means that I've got to kill the scum first, which means the town has to have incentive to keep me alive.

At this point, there is, imo, more value via the lynch of somebody else that is possible scum in order to get connections.

Since I am third party, there are no possible connections that can be gained from my lynch

In addition, it is easily possible for there to be more value from a

controlled

flip gained from my death.

There really isn't much of a difference, imo.

All this does is lessen the long term gain.

Investment of me living for two days = 2 kills/flips that wouldn't otherwise happen

Investment of killing me now = NKs that will happen anyway giving info about some arbitrary person

Actually your hope is that town will wait too long to lynch you, and we'll get to a choice where we have a choice between lynching you or lynching the scum but either way we won't win, and we'll be so happy that you've helped us that we'll lynch the scum and let you win.

I don't know how many scum there are or who the scum even are.

As such, it'd be nearly impossible for me to win without killing scum.
