Ok, I have read the thread and, while I can see the point in voting esme (and I may consider doing so if we approach the deadline), the person that has triggered my scum-radar the most is peacebringer.
What bothers me is people voting without even giving the slightest reason, and that's what peacebringer did when voting dranko, then when voting esme and then when voting coron.
So, that's why I'm going tovote: PeacebringerWorld Champions!!!-

I completely agree with Bamboomancer, here. I always thought that a townie (or villager in this case) should not be enough to stop a bandwagon, if there's no other information available.
I have been accused (in other games) of scumminess whenever I tried to argue that lynching a claimed townie is better than risking to lose a power role, but it's true.
unvote: Peacebringer, vote: Esme
Brushhopper, your claim was unneccessary at this point and the fact that you defended esme with such a shaky argument is going to make you quite suspect, if esme turns out to be scum.World Champions!!!-

brushhopper wrote:Unvote: EsmeI'm inclined to believe her because she used the correct term for townie. I know it's correct because I am also a villager.
Vote: Milkmanbecause I'd like to lynchsomeonetoday.
From these two posts it seems like you're not really convinced that esme is lying about her claim, but since you've not managed to get people to unvote her, you just jump back on the bandwagon in order to get a lynch today. And this is all well and good, but then you writebrushhopper wrote:Sorry for the uneeded claim. It also looks like there's not much of a chance for people unvoting esme. Unvote: Milkman, Vote: Esme
Now it seems that you're very sure that she's scum, but your argument makes no sense at all: you being townie (villager) doesn't imply in any way that she's scum.brushhopper wrote:All I ask is that you either lynch esme today or tomorrow. If you lynch her today and she is scum, by all means lynch me. If you lynch me today and it shows I'm a townie, lynch her tomorrow. There is really nothing more I can say.

I just want to point out that we already had a claim from esme, so the bandwagon on her is not going to get us any more information. Maybe we could try and get information from someone else, don't know who...
If we are going for a lynch, I'd like something more substantial, maybe our claimed cop could investigate her tonight.
That said, I don't know where to go from here.World Champions!!!-

I completely agree with Bamboo here.Bamboomancer wrote:OMG
GUYS, wolfsbane IS how he doctored. He used wolfsbane to ward the wolves away, it had NOTHING to do with ANYTHING else. For the love of god, stop worrying about it.
Let's not focus too much on that: there are wolves out there!World Champions!!!-

Well, I haven't said much because I had nothing to say up to now. I don't think Pooky's point against me is particularly good, since, as Roland said, he's doing basically that same thing he accuses me of, just with added poetry.
I found a bit odd STD willingness to go after the people on the esme bandwagon. I mean: people with no information could have been there as much as scum.
That's all I have to say right now.World Champions!!!-

Well, this sure is a good reason to vote for me.rolandofthewhite wrote:Vote: d_rouge. I just realized that you're replacing Derk. I need to smack that boy.
I wish I had a reason like this to vote for someone.
STD, if we have no information, the only way to get some is lynching. Anyway your being so sure of Esme's innocence before her lynch suggests me that you could be scum: otherwise how could you know? Also, voting for someone you are so sure is not scum doesn't make any sense to me (and your explanation about her being in the way neither).

I'm just a villager. if you want to lynch me go ahead, at least we're not hitting any power role. Anyway I wish that the non voting people would take a side on the issue, the vote on me started from Pooky who accused me of not contributing, while pretending to. That's exactly the same he has been doing, and I wonder why Roland, who acknowledged this, is voting for me.
I'll be in Paris till the 14th, I should be able to log in from time to time, but this is probably not going to matter since I'lll be dead next time I log in.World Champions!!!-

Sorry guys, but I was in Paris. I posted it in all the thread in which I was playing, but this one was locked.
I can assure you that escaping the lynch is something that has nothing to do with me (in fact I already claimed).
I guess that lynching milkman could prove that Dranko is naive if we hit scum, but in a game this size there being two sane cops makes sense. In particular it seems a game with not so out of the ordinary roles (there's quite a lot of plain villagers), so I feel a naive cop is out of place, but that's just a sensation.World Champions!!!-

There's a wiki page about WIFOM, for those who are interested. (I don't know how to link that)
What feels wrong about Pooky was his sudden decision to out his lover. I mean, there was no pressure on Pooky, he didn't risk being lynched and the mere fact that the town wasn't enthusiastic about his claim doesn't seem a worthy reason.
I don't think we should lynch him, since the wolves will probably prove him right or wrong in the most direct way.World Champions!!!-

Seems like there's quite a lot of vanilla townies in this game. This doesn't mean that Roland is lying, but who knows.
I can agree to lynch a claimed townie, in order to keep the power roles safe, but at this point we should be able to find something better. I said "we should" but I'm the first to admit that I don't have the slightest clue.
As for the cop result, I think Phoebus is right: it depends on the mod.
Seems like Bamboomancer is trying too hard to find a reason to vote for Roland.World Champions!!!-

Huh? Given the timing of Pooky's claim this a crap reason to vote for him: it's not like he was found guilty by a cop and after that claimed to be a miller.Mastermind of Sin wrote:vote: pooky
I don't like miller-esque claims.
Voting for crap reasons is enough for a vote from me.

I think his story was pretty clear from the beginning, when did he change it?NanookTheWolf wrote: Reason why I'm pushing so hard for lynch more so then most (at least that seems to be what Pooky thinks) is because I am pretty confident he is scum. His story has changed so many times, and I know Pooky to be a pretty damn good player and I wouldn't doubt him trying to pull a gambit.
Hmm... townies are called villagers in this game, not civilians.NanookTheWolf wrote: I'll tell you now that I am nothing more then a civilian (townie), so basically you are wasting your time.
You look more and more suspicious to me, expect my vote soon, unless you explain me that part about Pooky's story changing.World Champions!!!-

I've bolded the important word of this post that Phoebus somehow has missed while reading.draygn_mage wrote:Logically, it wouldnotmake sense for the wolves to just *not* kill anyone, so it would follow that we have a blocker or a doc alive. Your attack on mage is based on nothing, since if you go back and read not only the post you quoted, but the following one by me and the answer from Phoebus, you will find out that Phoebus's argument was based on a misinterpretation of mage's post (he skipped a "not" while reading).PeaceBringer wrote:actuallyunvote and just FOS- he is pooky's lover but that was Pheobus last direction and I find it is helpful to consider who was killed and why when often ignored. Yes sometimes scum play set up games, other times they kill based on the suspiscion planted.

Actually not. We have an innocent result from Dranko20 on Pooky, but we pretty much agreed that Dranko was naive so we can't trust that result.Werebear wrote:I was just wondering if you two were PROVED town.
Right now I'm leaning towards STD, I don't really have nothing but some gut feeling and re-reading 30+ pages is well beyond what I'm willing to do to play, but still...World Champions!!!-

Congrats to the wolves, especially to Pooky.
That was the first time I tried a large game and I can say that I'll stick to minis from now on. I just can't get an idea of all the people in a game this size and I just can't bring myself to re-read 30+ pages to look for clues. And I didn't even play from the start!
I guess different kinds of games are for different kinds of people.
That said, I think the setup favored the wolves since the town had very few power roles and the doctor was pretty much useless as long as the godfather was alive (or that's what I get from the role description).World Champions!!!
