Let me start by saying that it seems that Miller adds power to the scum team.

Originally the game included a miller, but I was talked into dropping that for a VT.

So the existence of 2, if true, may mean a stronger town power to balance it.

I've seen 2 millers (unknown to the players) in a large theme, but not in a large normal to-date.

All that aside, I feel like the chances are fairly low. Which means at some point we have to look at the players who claimed miller and how they play.

That's the part that will have to wait.

So, on the miller claims.

Blood's claim came first, and included the faction adjective. I would expect that his role, if he is town miller, to be stated exactly as that.

Malp's claim did not, but he also claimed to have not read the thread. If true, then he could be town letting people know he is miller in his first post, or he is scum who decided to claim miller not realizing such a claim already existed.

Blood's reaction to the Malp Miller claim was less than spectacular. If you claim a role (other than VT), chances are good you ARE that role, and if you are, you know that the new claim is a lie. Blood's reaction was a:

However, this is a miller role, which is technically worse than vanilla. So, something like that may be an exception to the rule. But, it would have been better to see such thought processes come from either of the millers themselves.

Right now both Blood and Malp think the other Miller is legitimate. While it is in their own self-interest to have the Miller role perceived as town, there is also no other non-VT role that players would agree the other is legit so quickly.

This is going to boil down to actual play, with the fact they are millers meaning pretty much nothing.

He's scum. Look at his ISO #6 (wasn't voting during that period due to needing to look at BC's meta, which I specifically stated in-thread).

ISO #9 asks for a quick-lynch based on only a miller claim without looking at gameplay. States he prefers BC to lynch, but doesn't really care which. That's scummy as hell. Town would care about picking the right one if they wanted to lynch one based on the idea that two millers is impossible. Demon clearly doesn't.

When he was shown that two millers can exist (therefore destroying his argument or quick-lynch), he backtracks in ISO #11 and then disappears. Seems likely that he realized he just drew some attention to himself with the disproved logic behind hid quick-lynch attempt and tried to hide for a bit so people wouldn't look into his posts much.

This is a pretty decent case. ISO 6 is not a reason (looks like padding), but ISO 9 is scummy. I understand wanting to lynch BC, the dude was/is coming off scummy, but after the AP he is town town town….is just giving me the vibe that BC IS town. Also, the crap about AP and myself cluttering the thread. That is crap there is a ton of information during that exchange. I don’t think ANYONE should dismiss (or forget) about what occurred there. what in our exchange was clutter?

As of page 9, still a lot of miller talk. At this point I don’t think (malp) was fake claiming. Lets say we lynch BC and he really flips a miller. All eyes are on malp. I understand drmy’s stances and agree somewhat, but I don’t think the second miller claim is coming from scum. if we DO have two millers in the game scum is weakened, are we have other power roles. Not sure, as Demon's ISO has some CKD stuff, but not alot.

CKD was one person who moved his vote making the Zab(4)-Demon(3) a Zab(4)-Demon(4) tie. Since both flipped scum, this isn't a bad thing. However, Zab was scum PR and Demon was Goon. If you are forced to bus between goon and PR, I would think you kill your goon first.

Other CKD thing was the fakehammer (532) phrasing. Asking Demon if he was the cop instead of was he town/scum. Granted it's not much, but when you ask pre-flip about someone, you generally ask if they are scum.

In terms of counter wagon to Zab though, why not lynch Darthe who was at 2 votes instead of making Demon up to 2 votes? (This is assuming Darthe=town, Cheery=scum).

Conversely, as soon as Drmy joins the Demon wagon(384), Cherry votes him instead (387).

Other final note for now is after the cop claim, various people unvote Demon. I'd expect this, and probably would have also.
So, going back to your previous vote (Prohawk-473), simply unvoting (Drmy-462), or not believing the claim (rofl-460) are all acceptable actions.

Blood doesn't do any of that, instead he moves to drmy-475 with weak reasoning. He stays off the Demon wagon and it doesn't get mentioned again.

A lot of clashing thoughts currently Rob. I would like to hear more from Mala still. Dr sounds to me like he's either going to help us or hurt us badly with his suggestions. On one hand he looks like he's lining up shots. On the other, I do tend to lean toward two millers being a bit excessive.

The basic idea behind miller claims is that they save a cop investigation. I don't mind keeping BC around, he seems sincere enough. Malp is a little bit meh, but I still want to give him a chance to post a little bit more.

Malpascp's hardcore defense of BC is one of the things keeping me off Mal's wagon. Town got pretty burned on a popular policy lynch in another game I'm in, so I'm a little bit wary of charging forward on this one.

I'm now hating mal's miller claim. I'm wary of

any

miller claim (scum just make themselves cop immune for no reason), but if I got a miller role PM and someone else claimed miller, it would take a lot of convincing for me to not park my vote on that person.

The Gunsmith is an information role that can target a player at Night to learn if they have a gun in flavor. Members of the Mafia (that are not Doctors), Cops, FBI Agents, Vigilantes, other Gunsmiths, Paranoid Gun Owners, etc. all have guns in traditional flavor. Notably, Serial Killers and Doctors do not have guns.

Using these guidelines, Gunsmiths are considered Normal

on mafiascum.net.

Millers are supposed to turn up guilty via cop, who investigates alignment. The purpose of a gunsmith would be to investigate for a gun, which can be carried by either alignment.

So, Malp is scum.

i was bulletproof. it was a one shot ability. i did not get any confirmation on whether or not a shot was taken at me, but in light of the fact that i pushed through the lynch on the mafia goon and was still gunning for the mafia doctor going into night one it makes perfect fucking sense that they shot at me. and then there was no kill but the vig kill that night.

So much to say....where to start.

Angry- Dumb gambit. If you are not the cop, claiming cop as town could still out the real cop, if they don't know you a full of it. With that said, your probably town because scum would have to be full-on stupid to re-try something that already failed with Demon, and throwing a fake investigation in on top of it? Something like that can be confirmed/not confirmed, so it was obvious the more Angry talked the more obvious he was probably NOT the cop.
Yet people going full on batshit crazy and calling him scum for it.
That will have to be looked into.

If you are town, and someone claims a guilty on you, then you know they are lying. So they are scum trying to get you lynched. So you say so, and vote them. This was ROFL response:

So he immediately counters asking Angry if he is agreeing to die when he flips town? If scum just faked a guilty on you, why would you start bargaining with them?
The second sentence expands the bargain to share knowledge with the rest of the town. At that point to me it sounded like:

The vote finally comes, but by that time I read it as confusion and not wanting to make it a 1-one-1 with a town player. Which is a huge scum reaction.

that is correct. i am a town joat. i have at least two 1-shot abilities. one of them was/is 1-shot bulletproof. i may or may not have used any other ability(ies) i have. since my lynch is going to get pushed through based on ap's "guilty" i will not claim these other abilities no matter what. i will say that none of my other abilities have thus far amounted to anything useful (but i thought that drawing a nightkill to my bp was pretty damn useful)

There's nothing to gain by revealing the info. If I do reveal it, it could increase my liklihood to be night killed. Right now, only one or two people are calling for it, so unless there is some overriding reason(more people asking for it), I'm not going to do it.

rob, why is it weird for me, as an unclaimed joat, to look at your claim, and then ckd's claim, and assume there's a joat theme and it makes ckd more likely town (for being the second claimed joat)? why is it weird for ckd to see your joat claim and his own joat role and come to a similar conclusion (and then claim because he has useful and relevant information)?
