I think he actually believed he was on to something. Also I thought him asking AA9 for scummeta seemed fairly proactive for him. Also note he later insisted that he had something with his bitmap push and linked to a game he saw something similar. Hes town.

penguin's play reminds me of her scumplay from "there is new scum in town". there are 2 people who played that game and I have asked them both to look at her and neither of them have done shit despite her dropping the scumslip of the year holy cow.

we work as a pair and when we can get town reads off of each other we target the same player by questioning them and seeing how it feels. we usually manage to form a town cabal on d1 and gain control of the lynches. we used to do this with raven too until she made a quantum leap and no longer needs us, lol.

one time I left a cop cleared, semi-proven doc in the game til mylo cos I liked him and the only way I was to get any repsect out o him was if I totally mindfucked him. so I started the don wifom early, accused of bullying, fake melted down, walked away from the game and told everyone it was cos I was in tears, agreed to the sig/avatar bet he provided and promised not to vote him the next day and then I did. game should have ended there but my scummate who performed the kill was blown by the pgo and then the next day town mislynched cos no one could believe that I could fake that level of theatrics. that is why I was asking if matt was capable of that level of emotional manipulation cos most players aren't. when players start to show real signs of break down they are usually town.

^ also I try not to do this anymore cos facing the meta music was rough! but he and I became good friends and he saved my butt from more mislynches than I can count.

so....I can't help but wonder if I am helping scum in some way cos I was onto arc early and should have been nked before mozi and perv but really mhork should have gone before any of us.

so questions I have for you:

what do you think of IaI's post after I had just voted dan? to me it looked opportunistic, a totally different vibe than what he had given off before. I just happened to vote the scum he had viewed? and if he was looking at reactions, why did he not wait a little longer? he already had me as town so he could not have been waiting for mine and yet I gave him the impetus to his view? the motivation in that single look stinky as hell but if IaI is scum it means he went into the game preparing to fake claim cop and all I can say is wow.

what do you think of aj who has pretty much done nothing, especially comparing it to the newb game you gmed? what about borky?

Yeah I hear you. I don't expect anyone to necessarily believe me, but this is the honest truth. I am a 30 something yr old married man who never had a cell phone before last November (my wife had a 60 min per month phone for emergencies). We went straight to smart phones. One of the benefits to having this is I can check my mafia games at work, which blocks the site. So it is easy to go to the top of my webpage on my phone, and hit the swirly arrow to refresh, and the box at the top that indicates a new page has been started.

Posting on it for a guy who has never texted or anything, not so fun. Which is why most of my posts are in the mornings, lunch time, or evenings. It is why as AP likes to point out, it took 17 mins to get on, respond to matt about being the cop. The other day, I was reading on my phone at work, and saw dan's vote and push on myself so I started responding. role clarification is not the same as reassurance, uber. the significance of the colour coding was something I only recently learned about. I played a marathon game where I had a governor's role and traceylyn had to tell me through the second day round that I was scum cos I totally thought that I was town and it was obvious that I was playing that way.

something is bugging me...if IaI was so gung ho to listen to requests for views, why did he not listen to me when I asked him to view uber? and if dan is scum it fits with majiffy and uber still being scum with the ease and the reasons they are giving for believing IaI. you would think at least one of those 2 would have their doubts and would go to occam's razor.

the thing is town will be in a position of weakness cos there will 1 or 2 nks before the IaI/dan thing will be sorted. cleared players will be removed and you will have 2 silver tongued strong players guiding town.

and worst case scenario...IaI and dan are both town. town will not be able to afford a mislynch at that point. who will be left? scum will only need to talk 1 town to go against their better judgment in order to win.

so look at the player, think about who the next lynches will be, who the next nks will be and look at the player list and their skill level and who are possibly scum and then give me your assessment for the best town endgame scenario and what steps we need to take to get there.

IaI's overall play looks much better than dan's. he breadcrumbed early, viewed his top scum read on n1, followed his conf town read's suggestion on n2 and for the most part he reads as genuine. dan's play at the end of yesterday when he was all ack ack ack matt is town looks terrible. and he only developed a sudden interest in the game when he was under fire looks even worse. but something is out of place but maybe it is just you and majiffy and dan. <---- not a lot of associative tells related to you 3.

the lack of town cohesion was disturbing. I think many players tried but I am used to a different dynamic; town finds each other and then tries to lynch together. I think some of us were trying to do that but it got buried and it left town having to read x amount of pages in which their eyes probably blurred after a while. burying is a highly effective tactic for scum; it appeals to apathetic town who are playing multiple games. and the timing...not everyone is married to their computer or phone.

of the signal to noise ratio. they generated enough noise that confused town, cos of the different approaches to scum play; scum usually lurk cos whatever they post they feel might be perceived as scummy but when you are dealing with confident scum it is a totally different ballgame. head before the ass is what I always say but sometimes it is hard to determine who the head is and I think that is where town kept stumbling.

we so should have coalesced and lynched uber goober. I think that would have been the game changer.
