Well, by good I mean someone who has a higher probability of being scum than average. I mean it's day one, I don't expect there to be anything that I would define as "compelling".

Is there anything you see as "compelling"?

I more or less agree with it. I probably would have 1 of the town and 1 of the scum in null, but directionally at the town and scum borders of null. Nacho and I have been working on reads off and on and it's going pretty well. Syr is catching up today too.

Talk to me about Doc. That's not the one I would have moved to null.

Voted twice on low hanging but townish looking fruit without much (if any) support, and appeared to be moving in the direction of the now-fading Ank-wagon. Posting style is kinda posture-y. I haven't played with him before so I don't know iuf the posturing is typical. The votes look bad if he's an experienced and usually savvy player. I'll need meta to determine how bad.

I was hoping you were still around to reply to this.

One of the reasons I kept Cephrir in my scumpile for much of the amnesiac game (while I was in it and afterwards) was because his posts came off as hedgy to me. Another reason was that the posts also came off as a little wordsmithed. And the final reason was his first post after day 2 started because I want to lynch cheerleading/reverse cheerleading with fire every time I see it.

And that is by way of saying that his reads list is not bothering me too much.

Are me saying that my read on Cephrir softened. I really, really didn't like Doc Holliday's posts. Cephrir's catch up posts didn't move my read much. Once he caught up and started interacting directly, I could see more of what I identify as his town game (which in the amnesia game we've talked about looked pretty scummy to me.)

I've also revisited the Donner party thread, thinking about our interactions, particularly the subtle AtE on the final day. In that game you were never under pressure. In this one, you've been under pressure since you first posted because of your predecessor, and while that's an unfortunate situation no matter what your alignments, I've seen people turn scummier-looking town slots around quite easily, and have done so myself. I think town-bulbafenix would manage it.

It depends on the people in the town. Those in this town are more than happy to go after illusionary tells, and refuse to listen when told they are wrong and why they are wrong. As for me, a simple meta search would show you that I tend to be wagoned a lot, and while I can shift the momentum when necessary, it requires a level headed town as well. If you'll notice, the wagon on us didn't really start soaring until we replaced in and actually started pressuring people. I think the main complaint is "Bulba's being means to people.", when in reality I'm trying to pressure them to get information. This town does not want to scum hunt, and when somebody actually tries to nail scum's feet to the floor, the wagon on that suspect either disappears, or they attack the person because he was pressuring the person he thought was scummy. So don't pull that, "You could have gotten the wagon off of you." crap, because it is a two way streak that requires a town willing to find scum.

ftr Syr and I find the intra-hydra interactions pretty odd, too, unless Fenix is really uncomfortable/inexperienced as scum.

Fenix is scary as scum and can argue me into a standstill. We just have different philosophies, site meta, and playstyles. I don't think it's strange at all to see a clash.

What scum games do you feel are more typical of your play?

This is a loaded question, and as such, I will not be answering it. You seem to have already reached the conclusion that we are scum and are twisting data to fit that conclusion. If you want actual meta, just ask me, or even search for it yourself. I have 6 town games and 2 scum games on site. Most of Fenix's experience is off site.

Around day 3, I was basically convinced that there were scum in the townpile. It was mostly a question of which scum. DOMO's fit of paranoia over all the universal town reads moved him down my list a few notches, but his replace-out post was a work of art that I will not soon forget.

I tracked orcinus on day 1 because I thought he did a BSG-harkback crumb that I'd be the only player to pick up. Specifically, I thought he very subtly crumbed watcher. I was pretty confused when I got back a didn't go anywhere result. My read on orcinus was pretty shaky most of day 2 as result. I didn't actually get back to a strong town read with him until he went through basically the same reevaluation that I did on day 3, calling Serene, Crabd and me into question.

His force replace killed my interest in the game. And then he died.

I never looked back at his strong town read of BROseidon, and that was a huge mistake. I should have had BRO in my scumpile after the baby spice hammer.

I made a bunch of other mistakes, including flipping my read on Stubbs after every single other of my strong town reads that other players had objected to and tried to wagon...flipped town.

And that doesn't even scratch the surface of my hall of mirrors paranoia about Cabd. :/
