Where did you get 'bothered' from a simple question? Why are you so bothered about her botheredness?

~Jekyll
I am bothered about her botheredness of that post because it somewhat bothers me how her question bothers my inner senses enough to be bothered enough to ask such a bothersome question.
tl;dr - It's awkward to me to see her pick up on things like that. It might be my memory failing me, but I don't remember her playing like this the last time I played with her.
Then you probably haven't played a game with both Cabd and me.

So I guess whatever you were doing with Cabd was very very naughty

Anyway, I digress.

What's wrong with both random vote and serious post mixed in together? Is it just a paranoia? Perhaps am I being that one kid who always interrupts the lovey-dovey talk of a couple?

The point of RVS is to garner reactions and informations, which is the widely-accepted method to start Day 1, the day with almost no information.
Am I right?

-L. J.
IMO, the purpose of RVS is to end quickly. A post that both moves out of RVS and prolongs RVS is a tad eye-catching.

Spoiler: Needless rant
That's not quite something I would agree with. Sure, it is optimal for RVS to end quickly, but stating the purpose of RVS is to just end it quickly is... That kinda defeats the whole purpose of RVS, now is it?

At least, now I can see where your post is coming from.

-L. J.
Spoiler: my own rant
well, maybe, but IMO only one thing actually
ends
RVS and that's game-relevant content, which IMO RVS mostly isn't.

It makes me very leery of leashing people.
It sounds like the problem was that you got to day 5 without delivering a night kill. That's poor town management of a leashed claimed SK.

Really wide focus in this one, pushing a variety of players, makes an effort to get people to play better wrapped up in the suspicions and votes.
Replaced in, was cop with an inno result. Very serious from moment of replacement. Not a good comparison game for this one.
Newbie in a newbie game. Took a relatively long time to get around to scumhunting. Under fire, posted a ton compared to his later games.
This is another active game. The vote to post ratio is pretty low - there's a ton of questions and scumhunting happening before vote changes. This is a little different from most of the other games here.
Nightless vengeful something or other. In this game, despite the quick pace, it was really apparent that he was finding and working with town reads even more than scumhunting. In the one vengeball game I've played, townhunting was town's critical success factor in a game that went to 3p lylo.

-----

From what I see, his play is variable and adaptive based on the game state and set up. With so many town games, it will be interesting to see what his first MS scum game looks like. Is this it? The first scum game?

I'm a little concerned that in his posts so far in this game I'm not seeing more town spark. But, it's early days, and this game has been slow-moving with Halloween happening just before the weekend.

Cabd, I know we look for different things when we metadive, so maybe that contributes to my not being oshit scum after reading all that.

I don't think there's a strong meta case for Yessiree-scum atm.

I wasn't trolling, I was opening a dialogue. You are a strong town player, I want you close regardless. What are your thoughts on Cabd? Also tell Nacho to get his ass in here.
It matters because I have a hell of a scum-AP model, and although not fitting a one-sided model well is nice, and actually works sometimes, it's a shaky starting place.

My thoughts on Cabd are that the meta threads he dumped in the game need some explanation or walk-through because it's not obvious to me how they point to Yesseree's game being way off his town meta. However, I do like that he didn't jump to explicate them before I went through them for myself. But, Cabd knows Nacho's onto him regarding too much collaboration in me developing meta reads.

Nacho's laptop was stolen this weekend. I probably won't hear much from him for a few days, but I'll let him know you're thinking of him.

By this am I to understand that you feel town on me (and BRO?) so far because Im not living up to my scum meta?

Nacho is posting on the site, so hes around.

I dont think I've got to Cabd's analysis on Yesiree yet?, but I'll keep an eye out for it.
Not getting the immediate scum vibe I got when you replaced into the Goonies game, but that was kind of a unique situation. And not getting the alarms I was feeling in NY165 either. Wake didn't leave much to evaluate in his posts, so your slot is basically what you make of it.

Have you played with town-Cabd?

In post 398, Angry Frat BROs wrote:Uh, your scumvibe on me in goonies was purely based on me aggressively shoving a slot you knew to be town (yours). So if I ha called you scum and voted you here, that would be scummy on me? And in NY 165 I was just kind of loud scum cause I figured I could get a way with it. Not sure where Im going with this tbh, I'm in this game. You seem less paranoid about me than you should. Like you are TELLING me that you are, but Im not feeling the paranoia. Eh.
You also went after the player that I was most strongly townreading on day 1 of that game, and that was two reads I couldn't believe you wouldn't get right. Re paranoia, I guess I only have so much paranoia to go around, and I'm kinda counting on Nacho to counterbalance it and make sure my concerns stay reality-based.
Cabd was town in a game I modded offsite. Other than that, no I havent played with him as town.
Do you think you can spot town-Cabd?
Also while I have you hear, quick thoughts for me on:

Dr. Jekyll, Sakura, TIP, RC?
I think scum-Jekyll would be pretty constrained by the presence of both Nacho and me in the game. I'm watching, but not really seeing stuff I associate with his scum game so far.

I think Sakura will become pretty obviously town before the day ends if she's town.

I default to scumreading TiP so I'll depend on Nacho to help with that read. And on MC Maraca if I see something resembling their paradox prime game.

RC is giving me hives.

He does. However, in a recent we played he was
town
and I was scum. And he sent me on a wild goose chase through one of Bert's scum games looking for parallels with the game we were playing. The purpose was dual - mostly to make Bert think he was seriously scumreading him rather than setting up a reaction test, but a significant side benefit was getting me to read an irrelevant 100-plus page game purely for the hell of it. And being scum, I went through the motions and looked for the parallels he claimed existed.

Faking meta isn't as alignment indicative as I'd like.

But more to the point, I assumed that was Cabd dumping a bunch of game links into the thread, but it was Mara. And I don't think she's ever played a fake meta game with me.

Town

Likeabaws - yeah, town. Don't trust his reads because Newbie 1389.
Doctor Jekyll - This looks like town Ceph to me.
Toomai - I like his stances so far. I meta'd the hell out of him for the Harry Potter game, and although I smudged the meta results for that game, I think I came away with a pretty fair appreciation for his town game. One thing of note: in the scum game that he replaced into, iirc his stances came off a little more certain as scum, and his reaction to pressure was different as well. Not that he's had pressure to react to in this game so far.

Leaning Town

TheIrishPope - I don't read TiP well, and tend to default to reading him as scum. But, last we talked Nacho was thinking town. And some of my leantowns are thinking town as well.
MVP - I know the identity of one head of this hydra. Playing solo he tends to tunnel the fuck out of his scum reads. The fact that this isn't happening me bothers me a little, but I saw something similar in another purportedly 3-headed hydra of his so I'm leaning cautiously town.
Angry Frat BROs - I think AP trying to sort me is a good sign, though I feel pretty cautious. In prior scum games, he's either townread me (until a scum read suited his purposes) or immediately gone for the throat on my slot (after I replaced out, but still that was MY slot and I was srsly town).
MC Maraca - probably going to let Nacho call this one. I think his meta thumbnail for MVP was reasonably accurate, but I don't like that he's calling us town on the basis of my play. He has said more than once that despite all the experiential meta I'm not that easy for him to read.

Null

Caledfwitch - based on a recent game we played (where I helped mislynch her) and the meta-dive I did in that game, although she's a lurkfuck as town, she takes strong stands on players she thinks are scum. I'm not seeing that in this game so far. I've waffled about scumpiling her.
Hermy - Was leaning town based on her reaction to being judged on the basis of one bad error in one game. Read went stale.
Sakura Hana - her game feels a little off, especially compared to Newbie 1436.
Yessirree - I like some of what I'm seeing, and I'm a little worried I'm letting others' negative reads affect my impression here. Looking at you, MC Maraca. I"m still waiting for your meta analysis.
PeregrineV - Play the damn game.
Orcinus - I don't like that he entered the game basically in RVS mode, but his entrance posts were pretty late-night. I had no useful read on Rank.

Scum

Guyett - Based on one game I've played where he was town and I was scum, I'd lean town. But, I'm kinda impressed by the way people are talking his town game up, and I think the one game may not have been all that representative. I was on the scum team, and he made it to lylo for a reason. BoP sucks.
Radiant Cowbells - If I had a fucking clue what your play is supposed to accomplish I would probably consider moving you to the leaning town pile.
JacobSavage - ISO is crap, and no effort to engage Nacho about his read.

Funny that you mention this considering my game felt also a little off to you D1 that game. Heck I almost got lynched there until I sacrificed myself for Cabd.
Actually, I "townread" you almost from the start in day 1 of that game, and WKed you complete with meta links. It was the context around your fatalism that I called townish.

What about his posting is reminiscent of "town Ceph"? I really don't like the slot, feels nervous and a lot of their stances are kinda lackluster. Granted, its early game, but it still reads a bit superficial.
Scum-Ceph comes off a lot more certain, assured and assertive IME. Town-Ceph's game without meta-context had me convinced he was scum most of day 1 in the first game we played.

What the fuck is this post. So Im not living up to either extreme of my prior interactions with you ...and you are providing that as your reason for "feel[ing] pretty cautious" about us?
Feeling pretty cautious is independent of your not hitting either extreme. I think I said earlier that I'm counting on nacho to keep me reality-based on my Cabd read. You're pretty much in the same category.
I havent tried to crunch a reads list out, but yours is resonating pretty strongly with where Im at in my head (Jekyll is the only one I disagree with more than a little)
Have you played with Ceph? I don't remember if you said.

Guess, because it couldn't possibly because I replaced in and wanted some real-time interaction.
And RVS voting is the best way to generate real-time interaction?

This is a dumb question, but have you replaced in to a game before?

RVS voting people who are online at the time yes

And yes, but I don't think anytime recently. I will check.
Ha! I just remembered you RVS voting me several pages into the Polygamy game. I think it was more like 8 pages, but I had the same wtf why are you RVSing that phase is OVER reaction in that game too.

It was the same reasoning - I was online to interact with/get a reaction from.

I knew the double negative would be a mess. But no negatives was worse.

I chose not to vote a player who just barely made it into my scumpile because the read was heavily influenced by other players' reads. Some of those players were in my townpile. What you've posted since hasn't made me change my mind about deliberating on the read.

You seem oddly interested on my reads this game considering you know that I can lie about my reads as town to set up for gambits.

But sure if anything AFB is moving from town to null-town, and TIP is more town, Guyett is more scum, and I still got a null read on you because idk when the heck Mara is posting, so im treating everything as Cabd.

bauss' comments on orc are interesting yes, but i dont think either of them is scum yet. (Inb4 fence sitting).

Idk how the heck to read Cephrir either, at times he looked town and at times scum so that's another null.

MVP is a collection of people whom i dont know the identity, so idk how to read them and im treating them as a single entity instead, null leaning scum.

caledf is being super lurky and is bothering me.

RC is being RC, null.

In post 847, likeabauss wrote:Townies, please no full reads lists. We are up against a very smart and aggressive scum team. They will leverage your reads list against you. Chase your scum suspects, keep your town reads close for a game day or two.
How do you see this happening?
In post 856, likeabauss wrote:So townies, here's what is likely to happen... A momentum push of some kind again. I'm digging into some sore spots I think, and there's going to be a flurry of posting activity to push right past the stuff I'm posting. You can watch it fly by, or you can pile some votes onto FrayBoys and increase the heat. The scum team is worried now because if I can convince enough people to hang one of FratBoys or Orcinus, I get doc protected overnight and tomorrow lynch another mafia (the other one.) That puts them in a really really bad place.

That's why we are seeing Mara come out and discredit me (not the logic of an argument.) If I get some cred, its trouble. Mara knows I'm a strong player. We've got a couple games together of the same alignment (both town and scum) and we won them together. That's missing this game because Mara is scum and instead of valuing the input of a strong player she likes, she's position against it.

I'll be a bit lighter on activity for the next couple days, mobile only, so forgive the typos and any shit formatting. But I'll try to keep the heat on and contribute what I can.
This is giving me flashbacks

FratBros, you ignored or didn't respond to several other things I pointed out about your shitty transparent scum game. Momentum push onto Guyett? Setting up to lynch less active players? You're still not getting the psychobabble stuff, which I'm used to. You're scum. Let's do this... I can't lynch you today. You've got like 1 vote and its me. Your overactive defense can take a rest. You're safe. Focus your energy someplace else so I can sort the rest of the player base from your actions. Thanks.

Mara, you cut me deep! I asked for your vote on FratBoys awhile back. You never gave it. That was clue 1 that you're bad. We've cleaned house together previously, and when you asked me for my vote or some time in other games, I gave it. (Because I know you're a baller.) You know I'm good, and you know I know Rank, and still no love. No support. You're scum.

Are you caught up?

Sakura is keeping her cards a lot closer than she used to. Nacho will probably have a stronger opinion than I do, but I liked her push on you, and I like that she called bauss out for not going after his strongest read.

you are talking to me

so i'm assuming you disagree with sakura's push?
It was typical of her play. It's not how I go about gathering data.
and for the love of god I CALLED BAUSS OUT for that and she parroted

I saw other behaviors in that game that I knew supported calling you town and my strategy was kind of built on two pillars - playing up paranoia about Cabd and justifiably defending you from people who were going to call your AtE scummy.

Especially last night, I have seen some stuff I associate with your town game, and I've noted that. I think I mentioned it in the post where I talked about your being more opaque about your reads. Knowing what your reads are, and knowing where they come from do help me figure you out, though, and I miss that data.

Half the time, my reads on that game were faked to fool scum. Do you rather me fake my reads here or give you no reads.
I'd rather you put enough of yourself and your thoughts into your posts that I can read you. That's part of your job if you're town.

I've done so in so far with my back and forth with orc. If that's not enough then I can't help you there for the time being.
And yet you're bitching because I had you as null prior to that. If this is how you're choosing to play the game right now, then you have both the benefits and the drawbacks to deal with. And so do other players.

Town

4. Scum

Guyett - Based on one game I've played where he was town and I was scum, I'd lean town. But, I'm kinda impressed by the way people are talking his town game up, and I think the one game may not have been all that representative. I was on the scum team, and he made it to lylo for a reason. BoP sucks.
4. Radiant Cowbells - If I had a fucking clue what your play is supposed to accomplish I would probably consider moving you to the leaning town pile.
JacobSavage - ISO is crap, and no effort to engage Nacho about his read.
1. Not sure if that was meant to be a joke, but was that discredit necessary?
2. I don't mind being a townread, but based on what you put there, you're reading this hydra based on a person who only posted like 5 posts. Why not read based on
my
post?
3. At the beginning of the game, I had an impression from your posts that you (ffery) wanted to sort out Cabd. Why defer it to Nacho instead? Also, based on what you put there, it seems like MCM should belong in lower place than "Leaning Town."
4. This scumlist looks too lazy.
1. Absolutely not a joke. He completely misread me and tunneled the fuck out of me in that game. At the end of day 1 IIRC, he and I were the only viable lynches and the lynch went his way. Finally, at the point where he was at L-1 and I wasn't voting him, I think he entertained the possibility I was town. Whoever was lynched, though, the other's cred would have been damaged enough to leave scum with plenty of room to act on the following days. And so it was.

2. I don't know which head he is, so 5 posts is news to me. That info is enough to nail him as the baseball legend, I think. You're Lebron? I thought the stuff you jumped on early suggested we haven't played together much or recently, and I didn't like your interactions with Ceph. Leaning more town as the game progresses.

3. I want Nacho to check my work. If he disagrees with where I eventually land, I'll probably defer to him.

4. You're welcome to your opinion about it.

This Fferylt? Nacho hasn't come back around yet? If/when he does, I would love his response to the question I posed earlier.

FWIW, I've failed at reading both Fferyllt and Nacho in the past as a townie. So, I'm cautious on applying a read to that slot. There are certain playstyles that I am terrible at reading (TIP is a great example as is Fferyllt.) Nacho I think I can peg a bit better, so I need him around to even attempt to sort that slot.
Yep, fferyllt. It's been a few days since Nacho has posted here. I'm hoping he can borrow a computer this weekend. I think he's phoneposted in a small game or two since his laptop was stolen, but that's not practical in a game this size moving at this speed. He's got a lot of catching up to do in this game. I'll point out that you have a question when I see him online.

I know that I'm hard to read for some scumhunting styles, but I'm ridiculously easy for others. If I had a more objective view of how I play, I'd probably be able to pinpoint why that is.

See the bolded. I was putting weight on other peoples' reads, which made my certainty tenuous. Then you reacted to your wagon, including self-voting, and
my
reaction was "whoa, wait a minute". Ceph has talked about the ridiculous speed of that wagon, and that was a factor too, particularly because of all the "but you're scumreading him, why won't you put him at L-1" crap.

Your reactions to your wagon initially. I think you're also getting the benefit of a tendency I have to townread players who scumread me under certain circumstances, which boil down to their reasons for scumreading me. Aspects of my play don't mesh well with site meta and with majority-lynch dynamics. I learned mafia in a 24 hour game day environment with plurality lynch, and that affects how I think about and react to wagons, especially wagons with a lot of sudden momentum.

Look. I'm not lynching orcinus on this shaky a basis. I thought there might be something to that but it's not sufficient. If TIP wants to stop pussyfooting around and come out and claim daycop, he can come out and fucking claim daycop. It's not like there was anything subtle going on there and I refuse to believe anyone can have possibly not noticed it.

In conclusion, no.

Your "excitement" reeks of example B and its a highly suspect maneuver in my opinion. Its nuance, but there it is.
I don't mind when people go a bit excessive to past game references when it was an exceptional past game experience; the game in question was a game where I was screaming like a crazy person to get AP lynched, we danced a beautiful dance with both of us convinced the other was scum, and AP died. It was a hell of a game, and I don't see him trying to shake my confidence in reading him with cheap bullshit tactics like that.

I see AP's point about discrediting meta reads on him. This in particular looks like he's expecting AP to scumread him after the meta dives and is preemptively covering his ass just in case.

In post 831, likeabauss wrote:Pistol Pete Maravich? I hope.

FWIW, this read is a bit bullshit and I feel bad for it, but I can't ignore it. That said, here's the deal with the Rank read:

As a player, Rank doesn't like being scum. But he loves being town. His scum game isn't that good, and it's less exciting for him. But, the best part of the game for Rank as town? D1. He loves it. I love it. We thrive on it. D1 reads and lynching is what separates the men from the boys in our opinions/world. We have probably hundreds of hours bullshitting and talking about D1 reads, psychology, sociology, profiles, maneuvers, etc etc. It's LITERALLY the highlight of the game for us as players. And the source of much bragging or shit talking in post game chats.

So, Rank's early play seemed townish to me. There wasn't much to go on, but it seemed typical. He stays light until stuff develops (much like I do), dropping the occasional potshot or poking the bear when he sees a chance. But him replacing out? 100% scum move. As town, he'd have lingered, read, contributed when he could and stuck around through D1 at least. Bought some time. As scum? He wouldn't want to gimp his team, he'd bail quickly and early to give them the best chance at victory. Which he did here. Town play doesn't require as much activity as scum play to be successful. You read, you think, you post, and come and go as you can. Example: Rank just recently detail read a 100 page D1 of a game in under a 24 hour period and started slinging reads and opinions instantly. Why? How? It was D1. SuperBowl Sunday. Bases loaded, 2 outs, full count, down by 3 in the bottom of the 9th.

Rank's slot is scum. But, I picked up on the FratBoys scum slot before Rank's, hence why my vote is on him and why I want to lynch FratBoys first then Rank's slot second. Some details on my FratBoys read coming up...

Show me why you think it's baseless. Mollie's pegged ffery Day 1 because she used the wrong word, so I've certainly seen weirder meta reads that were still on point as fuck.

It's hard to follow you when you're not doing shit. The fact that ffery didn't scream at me when I was like "can we sit our vote on orci for a little while" is a bad, bad sign.

You try making a day's work of reaction testing in this noise. Not to mention, it's day one in a normal game. I can't go claiming something amazing when we're restricted to normal roles. Fakehammers require a L-1 wagon that I'm on it near the start. Most other gambits don't work util several days in. I'm sure I'll manage something for you soon enough, so you'll just have to wait and see (and probably play along when you see it).
I don't like this. Mentioning specific tests/gambits up front like this looks like it would take them out of your toolkit.

I don't usually use the same gambit twice. Especially in a field of players that are familiar with me and my play. Even more so when the ones I'd be testing are those players. You'll have to wait and see.
Maybe so, but you know that I at least will play along if I recognize what's up. I didn't realize there are so many players who know your little ways in this playerlist.

It seems a little premature to be handing us a townread.

To elaborate, the people you're suggesting you most want to test are precisely the people who aren't likely to step unawares into one of your snares whether it's familiar or not. And what about the rest of the player list?

I would much rather lynch orcinus; BRO is normally pretty fucking calm as scum and I learned that him flying off the handle when pushed strongly is a towntell for him. Meanwhile, all that orc has accomplished is a discrediting your past with Rank a bit.

No. You've done nothing to actually sort me, and if I've done anything to obvtown so far it's escaped my notice. If your sangres read is based on my play then I don't see how the hell you could have us as top tier town at this point.

It's still pretty meh compared to the body of evidence in some of your prior town reads. I guess the counter-argument is Paradox Prime, which still confuses me. I have no idea what led to you townreading me fairly early. Or what led to mara scumreading me.

At last synch we both agree with this, but it's mostly a Nacho read.
4. sangres
(Read is solidifying into steady town, subject to change but like it here right now.)
Still troubled by how easy this read seems to be, especially after Newbie 1430.
8. Guyett
(See TIP read, formerly null)
This is meta-based?
2. Cephrir
(His paranoia about me while justified, is wrong this time around. Still town.)
Nacho and I are in strong agreement that he's town.
11. Angry Frat BROs
(That posting by BRO was town as fuck, formerly null)
Directionally, I think Nacho agrees. I'm going to have to reread later because my circuits fried the first couple of times through.
16. yessiree
(His response to our vote was town as fuck IMO, same with the ATE things; formerly null)
Does this mean you're never going to explain that meta case for scum-yessiree?
Bauss
(Wrong does not a scum make.)
aphorisms do not reads make. Strongly agree he's town.

Null:

15. Toomai
(This has slid down from town for the terrible posting recently)
Examples?
Orcinus
(I'll have ffery sort this one, mostly, if I satisfy myself of fferytown. He's fooled me once (xenoblade) and I've fooled him once (NY165) but I don't know for sure yet which is which. His utter righteousness did ring kinda legit.)
He has a dance invitation waiting for when he's back.
6. MVP
(Now that I know your other two heads (i think) I'm not able to give you the same blank town-check as I would have thinking it was notsci and players like him. Interesting group, though, I must say, if my guess is right.)
I don't understand this read. I have MVP as cautiously town. Not going to potentially out Lebron, but I'm pretty sure I know this player and if it's who I think it is, I'm seeing town-play.
7. caledfwitch
(A meta check shows this lurkfuckery is not alignment indicative. Formerly scum.)
She's lurking a lot harder than I recall from the newbie game we played. Her stances don't feel as strong either.
14. RadiantCowbells
(ceph has questions. Answer the evil looking man with the claws. What did your reaction test ACTUALLY do for you?)
Basis for null is that he's not answering Ceph?

Scum:

3. Sakura Hana
(Her lack of engagement except to pop in and get a free post or two is not something I expect from sakura as town, formerly null.)
This read surprises me a little. I need to discuss her with Nacho, I guess.
5. JacobSavage
(he's posting elsewhere and lurking the fuck out of this game. Just like 165. His ISO is shit.)
My read is more based on what's NOT present here compared to the harry potter game, where he also hardcore lurked and was town. Nacho has more experiential meta, but he's mentioned that game as a concern as well.
12. Hermy
(So where's that fucking "serious content" you promised pages ago?)
I'd probably flip Hermy and caled in this list though the lack of followthrough will become troubling in a day or two. Weekend and stuff.
Holy fuck, this player is in this game?!? Since when?!?:

13. PeregrineV
(Still nothing holy shit come on and play, pere)

Yeah, there's more basis to the read than Bauss' meta. Orcinus hasn't talked at all about the majority of what has gone on in the game. Nacho doesn't like his push on Sakura because it's pretty much baseless. Also, Orcinus is discrediting Bauss' case on him but doesn't really seem perturbed about it. Compare how BRO/you are visibly frustrated and freaked out about bauss tunneling him. Orc is like "show me the evidence, fuck you", but not really showing frustration beyond that.

Ceph, I've seen Orcinus react to being tunneled before. It's happened to our hydra. And Nacho went after him in the Chosen game just a few weeks ago. This game dynamic is different because of replacing in at 40-ish pages and I'm personally waiting to see how it goes when he's around again. Whether it's "enough" ATE 1) doesn't address the other concerns and 2) doesn't really touch on what we feel like is missing from his reaction to being tunneled.

I've been waiting to see something similar to your reaction and fight-back in the Borkgame when Majiffy misrepped you about setting up mislynches and tunneled the shit out of you on day 1. You engaged the argument and you raged and it went on and on and on.

Your reaction here has basically been all about personalities and not so much about substance. Though admittedly bauss' argument initially was about your predecessor which didn't give you a lot of substance to argue.

This is a lot more like your argument with Jake.

I caught up a little while ago and I'm feeling pretty torn. Nacho put the vote down as a reaction test. I've reached out repeatedly since then, and the response has been...meh. I remember getting put off several times in ny165 before he really engaged. But, this is different. It's not happening in the middle of an overall holding pattern in the game.

Nacho says he'll be online later tonight.

UNVOTE: Orcinus

I want time for him to review the last few pages and see what he thinks of Orci's play and claim.

I feel confident about my read. Ffery said she was concerned because she felt like orcinus has been ignoring her reach outs for the greater part of the day. We WERE looking for some broad strokes analysis from him, but so far I see nothing that even looks close to the sort. I'd like to give him some time for some actual analysis though, and not the shit he's put forward in thread so far.

last time i checked you read me as town when i was scum, and then scum when i was town

so i'm not too sure where you get off being so sure of your meta read that you don't even interact with me

seems kinda scummy doesn' tit
You haven't been around much, so I haven't been interacting with oh much. I'm also relying heavily on ffery for most of the read, but you know both of those reads happened for different reasons so this attack is dumb.

Nope, I still will try, and I don't find any town motivation behind someone screwing other people's plans, and you giving him a conf town pass is even worse

I liked this too! It was Sakura trying to bring bauss over to the wagon after she started scum reading one of his big two. I especially liked how she had the "questioning conviction" test before moving over because it adds to the nice trajectory.

I'm not pushing orcinus because the cop claim is making me firm up my own read on hm before pushing to lynch; not confident enough to kill an uncounted claimed cop claim at the moment.

Maraca is leaning town. I didn't like their early push on yessiree, but I think that their play after the fact has been decent. Particularly, mara posts are looking like town as opposed to scum, her sort of edging to the wagon while Cabd was vehemently against it was closer to maras way of disagreeing with a partners read.

Majiffy tends to do his own things in hydras regardless of what the fuck his partner was doing, Mara still had you as a decent choice for a mislynch. Cabd usually has a much more cognizant thought process in hydras and talks with his partners, although can get stubborn as fuck about reads. If he was defending orcinus as hard as he did as scum, he would be doing it for a reason; Mara wouldn't undermine his efforts in this case. It's also not a strong enough endorsement of the wagon to be a distancing ploy (there's no way either of them could point back at that and go "OH LOOK MARA THOUGHT HE WAS SCUM"), so there's not a whole lot of scum motivation in that bit.

It's a much weaker read for me, bordering on null. Especially given the way she's stuck to her current vote. It reminds me of her town game in Newbie 1429 and the other newbie game I meta'd for that one. But, there's a lack. She's not reiterating or building on her conviction that Guyett is scum.

It's going to take a lot to move my vote from him, Guyett you are going down.

PEDIT: Have you played any town games with this new meta?
I didn't like that caled went from talking about how Guyett couldn't read him from one game to reading Guyett from one game himself. The conviction is good, but the tunneling is oddly transparent in a way that almost seems mechanical. I think that my original suspicions on him was from the way that he treated a claimed cop in hoppingom a wagon but then I remember how he was mislynched as a one shot bulletproof while looking like vt the whole way down and I think that he might just not be cognizant of how claims affect the game.

Sigh.

In this game you essentially have a seperated village which is fairly different from anything else I've seen. It's almost like competing tribes in Survivor. It seems to me like bauss is getting more sheep than he should be, and that suggests a scum-connection underlying those players. but I really can't tell because i just don't understand some of their actions.

I haven't even bothering with Bauss' 'arguments' because they are so ridiculously silly. He has given NO rank meta. He spins narratives. Like, I can't fight against a lynch that is built on the basis of "oh yeah we drove a contentless wagon on you and your reaciton was scummy".

You are not looking for my reaction to the right thing. And I can't fucking do analysis + don't want to do analysis when I am driven up like this.
Currently your wagon consists of bauss + people that trust bauss in his read. I understand that the wagon is sketchy and baseless with one exception, but in a case like that I would still eect more than I'm seeing here.

Speaking of bauss, when did he turn scum? We talked about how narrative spinning was more of an alignment neutral thing.

This is dumb. You can lynch whatever scum you want whenever you want; no one gets impossible to lynch later in the game because the case on them can only grow stronger.

But, but, I think that lynching orc is the right move. I wanted to be sure when I lynched him because it's a lynch that feels like one person is putting major thought behind the lynch, and people are following along because his conviction is great enough. But, I have computer access for a day, and the highlight of ffery and my conversation was her stating that we've tried to give orc every chance to be town that we've been able to give him, and he hasn't taken any of them. We agree that it's time to lynch orc.

For a multitude of reasons, none of which that include "scum lived past day 1 after being wagonned to shit".
