Well, at the time I voted, he wasn't likely to get replaced; there were two people who needed replacing and only one replacer.

Now that he's the only one though...

Oh, that's a dumb way to say you're doing something I find suspicious?

unvote: ten
vote: bigben

Is this way any better?

You're making quite a big deal over somebody who would have been ending up as simply dead weight.

A doctor who never sends in orders is useless.

A mafiate who never sends in orders, on the other hand, is supporting his team simply by existing; they don't need anybody to replace him until several days in, when they're all dead.

Superfly, do you read or do you skim?

It's been established that me "agreeing" with BigBen was sarcasm.

For those who know me!

My list currently stands at Ben, Fly, and JDGA. More forthcoming when I have more to go off of.

What was scummy about it?

BigBen was trying to claim that killing an inactive was bad because they
might
be a doctor and I was pointing out that an inactive doctor isn't going to do us any good anyway.

An inactive mafiate, on the other hand, is super-harmful because they could potentially just sit around letting us kill ourselves and pop back in during the endgame.

You're still missing my original point though.

When I first voted for him
we had more people who hadn't confirmed than we did people willing to replace them
.

Now that that has changed, I am no longer voting for him.

And please don't give me that "more likely to be pro-town" bullshit. Anybody we lynch day one is more likely to be town.

Baffling, yes?

My theory, JDGA is scum, and his buddy, BigBen, being the excitable person that he is, reacted over-strongly and convinced his other buddy Superfly to back him up.

Oh, I'd like to change my earlier statement.

I've never seen a day one educated lynch kill scum when I wasn't involved.

And yes, I have lurked my fair share of games.

how long you been here again?
Ah, yes, because this is the only place ever where anybody plays mafia.

Wizzle recognized me, and I've gamed with Cephrir before. Some of the other people might recognize me, but I don't recognize them.

And if you're not supposed to pay attention to how specific people play then that's extremely silly.

As for the rest of your post, I'm not even going to respond to that.

Vote Count:

The Eternal Newb 3 (Wizardcat, bigbenwd, Superfly)
bigbenwd 3 (The Goat, Werebear, The Eternal Newb)

JDGA 2 (andersonw, Charity)

Kilroy8675309 1 (Matt_S)
The Goat 1 (noah hanson)
Tarhalindur 1 (Peers)
springlullaby 1 (Serous)
Matt_S 1 (Kilroy8675309)
Serous 1 (Tarhalindur)
Wizardcat 1 (skitzer)

Not Voting 7 (lalaland, grintwig, alea, Korts, JDGA, militant, Pyaar, springlullaby)

Prodding lalaland, grintwig, alea, Korts, militant, springlullaby.
Not prodding JDGA because he hasn't picked up his role, anyways.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh, I went back and reread; my list is currently JDGA, Big Ben, Superfly, and Tarhalindur.

Soon I shall have a fifth.

This is how I ALWAYS play.

Find five people day one who seem crazy suspicious, name them, explain barely anything, get totally ignored, die through a stupid misunderstanding, wait for the other players to use my list which will turn out to be totally right, and then win.

Cephrir's been bolding names as they confirm.

Right now, JDGA is the ONLY person who hasn't confirmed.

Which makes me wonder why we haven't had more people participating.

And I also don't like how Tarh put the THIRD vote onto JDGA, said he was shamelessly bandwagoning, and then got ignored by BigBen.

Honestly speaking, my entire strategy consists of "say stupid shit and see who responds to stupid shit how."

It's worked pretty well for me in the three or so years I've been playing.

Only about half of that was online, in case anybody cares.

Right now my list of who I think is scum consists of Korts, BigBen, Tarh, Goat, and Pyaar.

I honestly don't know why. I play from the gut as a townie.

Can somebody else say I can pin down all the scum and they'll be right?

Is it just me, or did Noah get replaced by Noah?
I'm getting the same general feeling from K7 as from NA.

And the whole "somebody tell me what happened" thing and the failure to respond to people telling K7 to read followed by the rather upset response to what was seemingly perceived as blaming K7 for something done by OGML bugs me too.

Says to me that he's reading the thread and following it, but refraining from commenting.

Obviously because Wizardcat is scum.

Weren't you paying attention?

Also, I'd like to point out that both Wizardcat and Noah were on the list of that guy who died day one.

If they both turn up scum, maybe we should look at the other three people on there, hey?

I read the PBPA, but frankly, I'm concentrating on Killa first. We can move on to other people once he's gone, yes?

And don't you worry. I play differently on later days than I do to day one.

Doesn't mean I don't trust my day one instincts until they're proven wrong though.

I assume that the case against you is that if he voted Killa instead then that would be seen as hammering and he doesn't want to be called on hammering a mafiate because then that would be bussing or some such nonsense.

I'm confused.

Jailkeeper=roleblocker?

I'm used to the jailkeeper who can choose to throw somebody in jail during the day, making them not exist within the game for the rest of the day, or the following night, which simultaneously roleblocks them, protects them, stops their vote from counting, and protects them from lynching.

And since it reveals the user, I'm used to the standard method of roleclaiming it being to toss in jail the person leading the charge against you.

I wonder if K7II has the wonderful grasp of American English that K7I demonstrated.

Also, Kilroy, I have to agree with you that games are more fun with more crazy roles.

I saw a game recently where five different people were all told that they were the vig, but in actual fact four of them were delusional townies who kept getting "roleblocked" results back when they tried to kill.

Well, when investigated, they showed as delusional townies, and apparently the GM kept hinting to them in the PMs that they didn't have any actual powers.

They did manage to keep the real vig alive through confusion when he got forced into claiming.

It was rather fantastic, really.

I picked you to go next because you're at the top of the "alive" list.

And my opinion on Skitzer is that Skitzer can wait until after the massclaim.

I feel that now that we're down the doctor and the PO is ALREADY revealed, we can go right ahead and reveal everybody else and stir things up to the point where the town actually stands half a chance.

So, unless JDGA has multiple regenerations and forgot to tell us, this is our best option, I feel.

People who claim that the town is stupid because they were awesome players amuse me.

Incidentally, I find it amusing that both slots that K7 replaced into were on my list.

I'm also MORE certain of Wizzle's slot than I was of noah's largely because I've never known Wizzle to drop out of a game where he was town aligned, and also because K7 is the second person to be replacing into that slot, when the first person who replaced in was a prior player.

I find it interesting that Skitzer, who is generally regarded as the SK, if I'm understanding the sentiment correctly, and The Goat both didn't notice that Peers already claimed.

Don't know if it means anything, but it's certainly interesting.

Why do people keep putting down OMGL instead of OGML?

I could see it once.

Keeping doing it is stupid and obnoxious.

Cephrir, direct question here: if a night cycle had no kills and the subsequent day cycle ended in a no-lynch, would that constitute a tie?

Oh, and,

who may or may not be the serial killer shooting at the plan which will end in him losing.

Dammit, that's right, you replaced Peers.

I somehow got the two replacements switched in my head.

Also, shame Kilroy's plan isn't going to work now.

Armix, that's not how it works. We don't know who the SK is and who the mafia is; if we did, then we'd be voting them already.

"It's better to kill scum type B than it is to kill scum type A" is all well and good, but it doesn't matter at all if we don't get on the ACTUAL real issue, which is, "who is scum? Screw what type they are!"

Ignoring Matt and Cream, since they were each tracked and cleared like that, and ignoring Armix, since I don't think that chasing him is gonna get us anywhere for now, I'm gonna go out on a limb and

It's harder for me to get on during the weekends right now, and I have to go, but I will say this: I play different on day one than other days ANYWAYS.

And this bandwagon is piling up on me way too quickly.

I meant one confirmed person followed immediately by two people who are very vocal in saying that they're confirmed while not really being confirmed.

That's all kinds of suspicious to me.

I especially like how the person I voted for ALSO threw their vote on top of me, bringing me to L-1.

Now, what's the case on me?

That I'm "playing differently" to how I played day one?

Also, as far as I'm concerned, Peers was not at all confirmed, and I think that one of the other people sitting around here had a once every few days kind of vig power, but Peers claimed the kill because he wanted that person to counterclaim him before they got their next kill.

However, assuming that this person is not lynched today, I'm pretty sure that we'll see Armix dead tonight, so I'd like to pursue instead Sweatpants, who responded to my vote with an OMGUS counter-vote.

I absolutely hate the accusation that I'm playing differently than I was last time any time I play as a replacement.

I always play differently, even when I have the exact same role.

It's just how I play.

And it is my least favorite cause of death.

Improving your grammar and spelling will do wonders for making people more inclined to listen to you.

It's the grammar and spelling.

Good grammar and spelling, like being well groomed, makes people more credible.

I'm used to a different group.

The people I normally play with all know me and can, at this point, be counted upon to act a certain way when I do certain things, with the exception of two people.

Part of the reason I came here instead.
