With two dead the town didn't take long to exact vengeance on someone, and that someone was Jadesmar. He didn't struggle much, calmly saying it was best for the town this way as they strung him up.

As is always the case in these matters, someone eventually gets tired of watching the body swing and suggests the dead's pockets be gone through. This time there were only a couple of things of note.

First there was Jadesmar's black book. There are more names and addresses in this thing than the phone book. Well, at least more than a really really crappy incomplete phonebook. There were all kinds of notes by people's names, an elaborate system of symbols that seemed to mark whether a favor was owed to or by each person and the degree of that favor, and certain people were marked as amazing sources of information. Looking at this book it seemed that with a little effort, Jadesmar could find out information on anyone.

Jadesmar had various IDs with various names, but the second thing of note was a small handwritten note that said,

"You've made the Soprano family so proud, keep up the good work."

Jadesmar Soprano, Wise Guy, has been lynched.

It is night.

Please send your night choices to Talitha. Don't bother sending to me, she organizes everything real pretty like.

I will be using DP's lynch rules. The person with a simple majority gets lynched. If a deadline is set, the person with the most votes will be lynched as long as that person has half the majority.

I apologize for not realizing this wasn't posted earlier.

I'm guessing most rational men would say belligerence is appropriate when dealing with people that want to kill you. As the crowd gathered to lynch him, however, his belligerence vanished. Everything vanished...he went unconscious. Thus, he was lynched. Hanging by his neck he woke up though, and we woke up screaming. Screaming at who? God? Close. Mostly he was screaming that his death was unfair and that he should have been given more time. God was not presiding over this lynch, but whoever was agreed, he should have been given more time, and a not so silent apology was given to Antrax, and he went silent.

Going through his pockets, the only usful thing found was an ID: Antrax Gambino. At which point the crowd heard one last faint whisper, "I told you so."

Antrax Gambino has been lynched.

I know a guy with two middle names. It makes his initials spell a four letter word.
TSS Corleone
wasn't so lucky, in that TSSC isn't a word, and he got shot in the head last night. TSS knew a lot about killing people, it wasn't like he hadn't done it before. He didn't know anything about being killed. I suppose we can't fault him for that. Can we fault him for not seeing his attack coming? Maybe. You see something was bothering him that night. So perhaps he would have normally smelled danger when the car next to him at the red light revved it's engine. He looked over expecting to see some stupid kid who wanted to race, instead he saw the barrel of a gun. At least he didn't suffer any. Residents of Sketchyville had encountered worse.

Like
Massive Gambino
. Massive was, not surprisingly, a big guy. He also had a big house. What he didn't have, it turned out, was a big bladder. Perhaps Massive's attacker knew this, or perhaps they were going to attack in the morning, but at any rate, Massive Gambino was attacked and killed on his way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Judging from his broken leg the investigators of the scene were fairly certain of what happened. Massive slept on the second story of his large house. Stairs going to the second floor had it's banister turn into a kind of guard railing that let you overlook they main entry way. This room was dominated by a truly massive chandelier. So huge it could, unfortunately, support the weight of Massive himself. The attacker had somehow attacked a nylon cord to the chandelier and slipped it around Massive's neck as they kicked and broke his leg. He was sent crashing through the railing and the floor below. The angle of his noose was such that the poor big guy did not just have his necked snapped. Instead he swung in the main area of his own house choking to death as he fought to save himself. Massive would have been hard pressed to do a pull up. One might say he couldn't do one if his life depended on it.

It was true that
"Coolbot"
Capone had dropped out of medical school. It was true he wasn't exactly a doctor. Neither of these facts meant he didn't have plenty of medical work to do in Sketchyville. He got his nickname from the way he worked through the night on people like a machine. It's pretty amazing the patch jobs he had done with the supplies he had. Sure the people he treated might have been better off in a hospital, but not everyone likes hospitals. Apparently not everyone likes wanna-be doctors either. I'm sure no one likes trying to identify someone who has had their head blown off with a shotgun while they slept, but "Coolbot" had been fingerprinted in his time, and they hadn't blown his hands off.

TSS Corleone, Hit man, is dead (shot night 3)
Massive Gambino is dead (hung night 3)
Coolbot Capone, Quack, is dead (shot gunned night 3)

With 12 alive, 7 to lynch. It is Day.

Mr. GIAvanni Gambino had never seen anything so fast in his short life. I guess if you compare his life span to others in the town of Sketchyville he lived a few days longer than most, but still. It was as if everyone in the town were milling around doing nothing. Then suddenly 7 people had him subdued and on his way to die. I've never been lynched, so I have no clue how I'd handle it. Speaking of handling things, you should have seen how the town handled it after this Gambino was dead and the town found absolutely no indication either way whether he was good or evil.

MGIA Gambino is lynched.

The majority of the town gathered around the Flying Dutchman and slowly began to overpower him. I mean slowly. This guy was tough! And fast, too, like bullet-dodging fast. The town was determined, however and after a lengthy struggle they had what they wanted, another lynched man. The constumary post death search revealed a Soprano ID.

Flying Dutchman Soprano, Tough Guy, has ben lynched.

It is night, get your choices in before midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Feel free to get them in much sooner.

Mole Corleone had taken on a lot of different roles lately. He started off his short life (although of course long compared to many Sketchyville residents) as people who knew people. Recently he became people who killed people. Now he was people who got killed by people. You know your town has a homicide problem when someone gets their head blown off by a shotgun, and it's the third time it's happened this week.

Mneme Capone was the hardest working girl in Sketchyville. Every night she made dozens of the nameless people you never hear about in Sketchyville happy, but she also always managed to visit someone important too. She could make Tough Guys defenseless, Wise Guys clueless, and Hit Men hitless. After seeing Mneme the most you would accomplish after seeing her was a long nap. Last night, however, she picked the wrong important person to visit, assuming she wanted to live another day. Was it coincidence that a working girl died like this? Whether someone was trying to imitate Jack The Ripper, or they just had a thing for knives was unclear. Actually everything was unclear, everything was a huge mess, and pretty little Mneme wasn't pretty anymore.

Mole Corleone, Wise Guy turned Hit Man, has been killed (shot gunned night 5)
Mneme Capone, Working Girl, has been killed (cut up in ways we won't describe night 5)

The majority of the town gathered around Quailman and slowly began to overpower him. I mean slowly. This guy was tough! And fast, too, like bullet-dodging fast. The town was determined, however and after a lengthy struggle the had what they wanted, another lynched man. The constumary post death search revealed a Corleone ID.

Quailman Corleone, Tough Guy, has ben lynched.

It is night, get your choices in before midnight on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Feel free to get them in much sooner.

The day everything was resolved in Sketchyville was ironic, to say the least. After losing their Hit Woman the remaining two Capones thought they should be able to easily overpower Jaguar and string her up. Mayor Jaguar should not have been underestimated, however, for she had the ability to call in people from other towns to help her lynch someone.

"But don't worry, I do have this capability and am not afraid to use it," she brandished, but use it she did not. She was erring, and erring on the side of caution. Mayor Jaguar had no clue the former Mayor had set up an elabortate system of defense that made her totally immune to night attacks (including the double strength shotgun), investigations from mafia Wise Guys, and unfortunately, visits from the town Working Girl.

So Mayor Jaguar was lynched and Yaw Capone, (Tough Guy) and MMCL Capone (Front Man) survived to win for the Capone Mafia family.

Talitha will be posting all roles, their descriptions as given to players, and a summary of night actions, feel free to discuss the game and ask questions in the meantime.

The Sopranos had both information and protection and ddin't need a hitman to make kills. A Tough Guy that could kill would have been very powerful late game.

The Gambinos had 6 and no roles. The original game design had 4 families of 5 (all identical) and mayor, but I didn't want the set-up to be too obvious.

Just a few points from me for now.

First, I feel I did make a mistake not retracting the deadline, and I apologized in antrax's lynch scene, what more do you want? ;)

Second, a few people have said the set up favored capones, but I really feel this is only the case if the game goes the way it did with everyone pretending the whole game that "everyone" wasn't mafia. In a game where people come out and stress they need to kill a Capone, for example, info is much more important. I still curse the Corleones for sitting on their info about yaw being Capone too long. When mole came out with it it was too subtle for the cluess mayor to pick up on and didn't help. "Yaw is capone,
vote: yaw
would have been better.

Lastly I'd just like to thank Talitha for all her help and thank everyone who ever said anything encouraging, be it about my death scenes or otherwise. I'm glad my last scene still left our mayor thinking rite was a vigilante, I was afraid the stuff about the Gambinos and the 3rd grade were almost going to far. I also strayed from convnention in the last scene....never before did you learn who had what kill method. Since the next night would not matter no matter whether the mayor nor Capones won, I went with it.

Again, thank you all. Participation was really pleasing. It was amusing when I was asked to prod people when I had a strong hunch that they were following just choosing to be quiet, but overall I was very pleased.
