Since you have said you're against whispering, confirm that lynching Hectic will fulfill your wincon here and I will help you make it happenIn post 112, Minstrel wrote:I'm still trying to figure out a way to kill Hectic without dying myself. It's my wincon.

didn't you just confirm that you're at the head of the jury?In post 182, Korina wrote:Honestly, Minstrel getting put on trial was rather funny, but like, was there any real reason for it? Does anyone know?
Also, I’d like this to get inno’d. It’s not even a full IRL day into the game, and if Minstrel is found guilty, that ends the day.-

"spanning the game" implies that they can't do all 100 poems day 1, but it doesn't matter because apparently that entire claim was a lieIn post 224, Minstrel wrote:If we have at least 100 poems spanning the game-

He also hasn't claimed any significant town powers. If the slot is just a VT, then mislynching a VT and going into night before the town power structure is revealed with bad pushes can be very pro-town. Conversely, he's already retracted a joke wincon which both heads wrote a poem to sell so I don't really see this slot as town tbhIn post 262, Rautherdir wrote:We also probably want to not guilty Minstrel since scum will likely guilty to force the lynch. And the stated reason for this trial is based on what is apparently a joke-claim.-

but why then are you operating under the assumption that, if he was trialed simply because korina (cult) wanted him to be trialed, that he is therefore town?-

sure but maybe bear in mind that people will pay attention to the first claim you make after you're randomly trialed? we have to make some sort of judgment about your alignment and so far you've gone out of your way to make that harderIn post 281, Minstrel wrote:Our account was made before we got our role PM, Obum. It could be. But you're acting like you should, as policy, innocent Minstrel, which seems like a good way to not take a position on his alignment or take the time to sort him. Why would you prefer a continued RVS in a bastard cult game rather than evaluating the slot that you functionally have to evaluate right now?-

you do realize town wins faster games right? dicking around and making the game unreadable with a bloated RVS with a million people is wildly anti-town. you don't think minstrel is scum, fair enough, explain why, but arguing that you should waste the next day and a half arguing he should be inno'd off policy is weaksauceIn post 295, Rautherdir wrote:From what I can tell, the trial required a vote to start. Meaning more then one player voted to trial Minstrel. At this point in the game I'm fairly certain there aren't any town reasons to do a trial on a player.
My point is more that we shouldn't end the day this early. If we could abstain I'd go for that but the risk of scum forcing our lynch is too high. I'm not saying Minstrel is town. I'm just saying we can't risk ending the day this early and going into day 2 when not everyone has even posted (I think. I might be wrong there.)-

In post 329, Rautherdir wrote:Since when is ending a day less then 24 irl hours in good for town? Please tell me that. I have a light-town read on minstrel because why in the world would multiple people have a scum read on a slot less then 24 hours after the game began.
I can point to plenty of examples of towns having day 1s that drag on that ultimately lead to scum sweeps because town gets lethargic due to the thread becoming totally unmanageable
Additionally, it's a cult bastard game, so fully solving or getting a strong poe is literally impossible. So I think arguing that we'd be better off going back to a prolonged 10+ page RVS is scummy-

I'm not saying we *must* end the day, I'm saying people should bother to sort the slot rather than taking innoing as a categorical necessity. Why are you indifferent to him backpedaling on a claim, joke or not? He basically joked about being a survivor/quasi-VT and now you and rauth seem to be saying to policy-inno him without really trying to sort himIn post 333, PeaHen wrote:Ending Day 1 within 48 hours of it starting is not a good idea, ObviousScum. The game has moved out of RVS so the Trial has served its purpose, but please stop trying to convince anyone that a 48 hour Day 1 is good for the overall health of the town.
Seems like we've moved out of RVS so why are you giving people permission to stall off policy?-

yeah, except it's multiball, so all this trial tells us is that the slot is probably not cult. That doesn't make the slot town.In post 372, Rautherdir wrote:I stated that my reason for light-town-reading Minstrel was because I assumed scum had orchestrated the Trial.-

I've been saying people should vote guilty if they think the slot is guilty
And that if they aren't sure they should get content from the slot that will make it readable
I think I said to vote guilty immediately after he retracted the "jokeclaim" because that backpedal was bad after they just did two posts to sell it but tbh I didn't realize simple majority would end day, I thought we were locked into 36 hours for some reason. I don't really care if people guilty him or not I just think arguing he should be inno'd off policy is dumb af
You wanna argue the philosophy of it, whatever, but I think acting like a certain amount of time must pass before the day can end makes every vote uninformative until that amount of time has passed-

Which is a lot less then half. (23 because I'm counting both Korina and chkflip as players. Although I'm not sure if chkflip is a player, so it might just be 22)-

Yeah because if you loudly announce that they should be inno'd on policy then we learn literally nothing from the vote
You're acting like I was dead set on the guy getting lynched when the main thing I have said is that people should bother thinking about it before making him unlynchable
I kinda don't think korina gambits by putting his recruiter on trial in the first 24 hours just to make him unlynchable but given this was an opportunity to see who would actually vote guilty we could have gotten some actual content out of the vote, now it will probably be uninformative-

At the moment primarily the fact that Norwee is being overly defensive in responding to my points and misrepresented my position in a way that I don't particularly see coming from townIn post 576, Minstrel wrote:Obum's a weird one. I've reread him and he's very strongly opinionated about not policy Innocenting this, which is fair enough I guess, since that defeats the entire purpose of gaining info from it. Norwee and I are obviously biased though, and we can't help but feel scum are gonna be strongly incentived to guilty this, which will tip the favour in the voting.
I think the correct play is to vote Not Guilty if you're not sure about us, or townread us, and vote Guilty if you think we're scum, but reasons would be nice.
Obum and insominia: Why are you scumreading us?

Chemist feels pretty town despite the restriction. insomnia town. MM probably town after 440
I'm not sure on Rauth town but he definitely doesn't feel like CL to me. (The way he speculated about the jury makes him seem uninformed by Korina, although I'm still not sure on what all korina can or can not share with the CL.) Probably not a good day 1 even if his white knighting kinda annoyed me last night, but I can see a world where town white knights like that too I guess
I'm also slightly townleaning DEB, ceejay, and 50 judge mostly based on some minor stuff but that's a bit shakier since there's not much to work with yet. Call it gut I guess
I'm guessing scum is mostly in the people that I currently don't remember being in the game-
