Hey I'm here. I'll just post what I think about the current page and then start from the beginning. In agreeance that No-lynch is a bad idea. I also don't like sidney's vote and justification, although I could see newb town making that post.Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

Check again. He only has 100 posts. And his sig implies that he's a bad player. There is a possibility that it is all some master plan to make himself look like a newb while not actually being one. But it seems like a lot of work for a ploy that would only work for one game (and even then would still draw scrutiny) and that could be easily deflated by any meta-ing.
And if he isn't a newb then don't you think he'd know better than to make a post like that?Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

I ignored much of Pg 1-6 but I do like SSF's and armlx's play.
@ everyone: Is there anything of significance in these pages that I've overlooked?
134: a post by sydeney. An early BW vote. Doesn't seem to be much thought behind it.
137: TSN - I actually don't find this suspicious seeing as how I've identified SSF as pro-town.
138: sydeney Jumps off a BW and makes his own on TSN. This post seems townish. We can see that Syd is loose with his vote (uses it for pressure) and that he is paying attention to the game rather than simply parking a vote.
147, 151: I completely agree that it is weird that TSN would make such assumptions.
149: Seems kind of townish in that TSN looks like he's trying to work out the setup.
158: farside seems townish for same reason.
205: Pheobus looks very townish for reasons I think are pretty obvious.
215: Don't like this post. For the opposite reasons of why I think many of the above are protown, I think this post screams "I don't really care what happens today and I'm going to put myself in a position where I can vote anyone."
237:MAJOR FOS: iamausernameDo you not know why peach being kidnapped would suck? Can't believe no one pointed this out.
Surye's play certainly seems pro-town. But it could be scum trying to piggyback off of Gimbo's apparent townness. Surye's item-exchange posts are the first posts that he makes in 10 pages. He hasn't voted or scum-hunted but seems keen on looking like he's helping town. Kind of suspicious to me.
269: sideney again. I don't like this post. 131 posts between his last and this is all he has to say? Plus there's the fact that he refrained from voting which seems different from his M.O. Did he FoS simply because the people above him did? Is this simply sheep-town or something less innocent?
Pg 13-14: Inactive players making short posts. Sigh, I guess they can't all be scum.
Pg 15: mr. incrediball's posts make me happy.
Post 397: Heh Rogue seems to have forgotten where his vote was. From what I can see, RS voted for popular and then for TSN. He never voted for cream correct?
Post 544: sydeney again. Sounds like a big lie to me.
569: sydeney unvotes after realizing that no one is on the BW he created. Him sticking with his vote for so long may be a town-tell.
I'm labeling sydeney as a newb. More newb-town than newb-scum imo. I think a lot of his play can be described as newb-sheep but I like the fact that he made an original post against TSN and stuck with the vote for so long. He didn't develop a strong case but I'm thinking we shouldn't expect that from him.
I've ignored Gimbo's shenanigans seeing as how he's semi-confirmed.
Anyways I'm 99% certain I will be voting iamausername.
@ iamausername: Do you not know why peach being kidnapped would suck?
@ Rogue: Help me out, when did you vote for cream?Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

Hmm I guess I'm alone on this. The entire debate about whether Peach was a game mechanic sounded odd to me. Now that I'm looking back it's Phoebus' post 234 that's setting off the bells. I'm reading the townie PM and I'm finding that post 234 doesn't sound like a post a player who read the town PM would make.
In 237 iamausername quite correctly points out rule 25, a rule which is prominent in the townie PM but is nestled away on the front page. The reason why I thought he was alarming at first was because he was involved in a debate which I thought had an obvious answer.
The theory I'm pushing is that Phoebus was not clear on the Peach situation because rule 25 was not featured prominently in his PM.
Only one way to check:
@ People with a townie PM: Did your PM ever suggest to you that Peach was anything but an actual player?Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

Forget my posts regarding Phoebus. Post 205 shows that he was aware of rule 25.
OK so my most suspicious player is now popular with post 215. I'll dig up more stuff later. I'm not seeing the reasons behind cream's or FL's lynch. I'll have to look back for those two too - unless someone wants to sum up the cases against them.Phoebus wrote:As I see it...whatever mechanic might cause Peach to get kidnapped - most likely Bowser "looking for her" - ends the game in sudden death the next day if we don't know who kidnapped her.
This particular mechanic makes me a little skittish but for now, I'd trust Lawrence to know what he's doing...Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

Lol no you weren't.
I think the Phoebus wagon is crap. Of the people on it I'd say I find killa seven the worst. Which parts of Phoebus' post are BS?
Give Phoebus a little more credit, he wouldn't bother trying to fish for Peach. I don't think anyone would.
ashmite sounds a little more earnest in his comments. I'm ignoring RBT for now.Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

Part of me wants to vote for you too. If I was a little tougher on LAL I would. If I wasn't meta-ing you I would. TBH I don't know exactly what you were expecting from your "gambit" (I'm thinking you just wanted to sound cool after making such a lame post). It's pretty much always going to be "I disagree" or "You're scummy". If anyone ever said "I agree", congratulations, you just caught yourself a newbie.Riceballtail wrote:
Is exactly the scummy reaction I was looking for.skitzer wrote:LOL wait. Riceballtail is so much more scummy than Rogue Shenanigans...
NL just for reactions? Please.
Unvote, Vote Riceballtail
@ RBT: Would it really be surprising to you if townies didn't like your "trap" and wanted to vote for you?
And Gimbo, you seriously play like a jester. Cream raises a good point I think, and I believe an RS wagon is way better than a Phoebus or RBT.Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

I can do an item confirm with RBT right now.
Give RBT poisonous mushroom
Now give it back.
My item is exactly what it sounds like. If anyone uses it they die. I can give it to someone by just calling it a "mushroom".
The problem is I cannot figure out a way to use this item. It clogs up my item slot and if I give it to someone who I think is scum as a "regular mushroom", people will say "Why would you give a scummy-looking player a mushroom? If I straight out call it a poisonous mushroom, no scum would use it.
So I've decided to use it to help un/confirm RBT.Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

The biggest point against cream is his vote on Gimbo, which I would have done myself. People are calling him out on making an L-15? vote for a scummy looking guy. I wouldn't call that opportunistic. He's also being called out on not meta-ing Gimbo. I'm betting that 3/4 players on MS never meta so I'm filing that under null-tell. Besides, SSF obv did not meta either when he made his attack but he's not under scrutiny.
I'm not a fan of Cream's 27 or any meta-defense for that matter but I don't have any strong alignment read on it.
Cream's 28 & 47 seem townish to me.
What I would like is some actual scum-hunting from cream but I could say that about 1/2 of the people in this game.Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

I don't like this post. K7 throws a lot of scummy inflections on Phoebus' words without giving the Phoebus any room to reply. Things like "You are scummy" and "This is BS". He doesn't even seem to want a reply. K7's post just seems like an easy way to park a vote.killa seven wrote:Phoebus wrote:

Even Peach might be a mechanic from where I sit...

Well pop has at least 8 coins already. I share Alabaska's concerns. If everyone gives all their coins then we are helping to direct NKs (ie anywhere but pop). This of course assumes that a non-item NK exists. Another danger is the previously brought up possibility of a scum coin stealing technique.
If neither of these scenarios exist then mass-coin pooling seems like a good idea. But for some reason I think the mod would have prepared measures against such a strat.
In short, I think 8 coins a day is plenty. But maybe we can shift around which players give on each day so that the same 8 aren't stuck with a chore.Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-

Read between the lines. It wasn't a question that I expected to be answered seriously. I just felt that some doubt should be thrown RBT's way.
Looking back:RBT wrote:Claim time I guess...
Yoshi - I get no items, no coins, and no vote (ever, and no you can't give them to me, they become forfeit when anything is in my possession). At night I can attempt to eat a scum. If I hit a scum, they don't get a vote the next day. I am town.
Does anyone think this sounds like a retcon? I really regret not asking for the flavour when he claimed earlier.RBT wrote:The idea is that I am nothing without Mario/Luigi, and therefore my vote has no meaning. My night choice is called "Swallow", which is very fitting based on that's what Yoshi has done in almost every game appearance.
@ RBT: Is there any other flavour in your PM?
Regarding my vote on cream: No I didn't think he was particularly scummy yesterday but ash brought up a good point, a point good enough to warrant a vote.

Lol are you suggesting that RBT's power is cop-like?
Was it based on this?
I assumed this was RBT's flavour and not a game mechanic. RBT can you confirm? Was "tasty" a mod-creation or your own?RBT wrote:I ate Gimbo. He was tasty. Just re-read. I'm confused. Why do we believe K7? Has anyone considered the possibility that he's lying? It's either him or the mod and my experience is that the mod does not lie. If K7 is scum, it is a perfect play. It gets town to stop hunting for the kidnapper and wraps up the game after the mislynch.Well if you're so sure what it ain't, how about tellin' us what it am!-
