right now one of my strong townreads is voting the other so I'm a little out of sorts.

We think Bell is strange. The strangeness has calmed down a little but he doesn't feel very present/engaged. I don't see how he moves from here into bet the farm town.

We agree that DS's scumhunting has been super shallow and at times very shaped by players asking his opinions about other players. As a town playstyle it looks ineffective.

I'm liking Nahdia's recent content a little better.

I'm still pondering Tayl0r's play and how it was considered by other players. The 2012 cohort schtick was essentially flagging the three players in the dethy who were making waves/should be elimed quickly imo.

Cakez and petapan pushed back on the characterization that we were impossible to read/interact with. Not sure that makes sense as scum interacting with their potential traitor.

I'm spending significantly more time trying to read people than being town read tbh. I've been inspired (corrupted) somewhat by zMuffin, this has had somewhat predictable results. Though also, Crazy weird fatigue and sleep issues these past few weeks.

As for how I feel about it? A little sad, like I'm a child in the other room while their parents argue over whether to ground me or not.

Tbh, I almost never form a real town block. My reads shift too much for that. Here it's a little different though, there are loads of confirmed town. My typical play is pretty much, look for stuff until I see something I think comes from scum and then go for them. In the mean time I just look for patterns of behavior, double check meta etc. I try to control my perspective and interpret the information I get to be more accurate than random. I'm not actually sure how well it works. It feels like it doesn't though.

Pretty much the voluntary nature of the claims and the rule of weird along with my propensity to outwardly believe all claims while internally being extremely skeptical of every claim results in what you see before you.

Translation: I tend to believe proactive claims even though i’ve Been burned by them recently but it makes me lean that they’re true. The dethy being the exception because it’s mechanically impossible for the entire team to not be game throwing if they’re lying.

Lower down you have Cabd/S_S and Pooky/Alisae where things aren’t as clear cut. Are they lying about parts of their role or the whole thing?

Both have been essentially attacking and trying to discredit the other people in the not-conftown pool who suspect them when it should be pretty obvious to both of them why they are suspected

uh, why is that first thing scum indicative? all the conftown coming out narrowed the pool significantly, making it easier to get a footing in this game. if anything, i would say disappearing when all the conftown appear is scummier, since you would imagine scum could get discouraged when that happens.

look at it this way: we are in a reality where, unless you or bell are scum, virtually the entire groupscum faction went largely under the radar on day 1 and faced no serious pressure. sure, the traitor died, but up until now, whoever it is has done a very good job of keeping out of the spotlight. they have been successfully flying under the radar. suddenly half the game is claiming masons and the pool of potential votes just got very, very narrow. whoever it is can no longer afford to simply hide away, they have to suddenly appear the most town, they have to show WIM and effort, a sudden burst is likely to get viewed favorably.
