Claiming blade in this setup means claiming a power role, effectively, from my understanding.

Why would we ever claim the PR pool to public knowledge?

The pro side to claiming is that drivers and blades can use their powers, whereas they are more likely to incorrectly pair up if they don't claim.

Of course, this can lead to things like all the blades dying, but that takes multiple nights.

Personally, I don't think we should claim, but something to note: Now that multiple blades have claimed, drivers are overwhelmingly likely to target only those blades who have claimed, meaning any remaining blades who don't claim are effectively choosing to do nothing (I'm still not advocating for all blades to claim, there are alternate solutions to this, such as drivers not doubling up so hard on claimed blades)

I have shudders of fear of Marketplace Mafia III whenever I think to hard about forcing the issue, though.

I'm also interested in the pool of targets strategy, even if some people don't follow it, it gives people a general idea if they don't know who to go for

The main benefit is that if there is an important power role who is a blade but hasn't claimed, they won't have to claim to have a chance to be targetted.

Because as I said, drivers are overwhelmingly likely to target people who have already claimed as blades. Unless we think drivers are more willing to target unclaimed targets?

I wanted pools to allow some sort of tracking down the line if there was tomfoolery in the night actions. We can do free for all though.

My concept was essentially- Players pick a pool of 4. Person above them in the OP vetoes one. Person below vetoes one. Players then target between the two.

Cabd -Believable role claim + play, I'm not 100% on their meta but this feels outside of what they'd do as scum)

Unwnd -I've been liking their posts, and think they come out looking better vs Flavor Leaf. I've seen them as scum before, feels towny to me)
