while variants are special unlisted roles that aren't double roles like rcenigma's claim

I tried looking at the role list for angel's claim and informed is there but only as a modifier... would a modifier itself be a role? and why would a variant be named something conventional like amnesiac (isn't that a modifier to cops or something?)

also looking back on the last game, the mafia variant was Inverted Renegade Commuter Enabler, and the 'variant' was 'Inverted', something entirely unique... right?

Yeah they claimed Ascetic, but look at the other claims. Their claim sticks out like a sore thumb. It could be real I guess, but I don't see how it fits right now. They also commented about having a green role pm (which could just be figurative), and casually leaked their pt with Lunar Martian in one breath and acted like it was incredibly sensitive information in the next. They had the exact same sentiment when I asked them to triple down on their Ascetic claim. Looking back at dkkoba expressing initial confusion about their role, like I had and at least ostensibly Nylaathria had, made it much harder for me to believe that 'green role pm' would be used figuratively here, since the color of the PM would be fresh on your mind. That doesn't look good for Angel Warriors either btw.

even though the setup was mostly against town (mafia having actual roles was overkill), there were 3 confirmed town day 1 (me unwnd toogeloo) + confirmable 3rd party, and angel would have been confirmed town day 2 had they fully claimed (>:|), so I'd say we deserved to lose except...

day 2, the push for angel warriors wasn't successful since it made no sense and people were unvoting, then for no reason momrangal just torches herself?? that totally messed up town's potential, since even if we were going to waste the day on nylaathria's inactivity, that still would leave us with day 3 open

and, worse than that, it ended the day way sooner than it otherwise would have, which means we could have demanded more claims, gotten more info in general, etc.
