With all due respect, I think Fey thought she was onto something - she thought you were scum who was dodging her questioning because you didn't have an appropriate answer. You asked her to stop, but she's playing mafia and thinks you're scum. In her mind, you're asking her to stop questioning you because you want to avoid suspicion as scum, and I think it's fair in that case she continues pressuring you to answer.

I don't think it's fair to call her horrible for trying to play the game. You need to understand that you were both getting annoyed there. Being ignored is not a nice feeling either, so I can understand why she kept prodding.

I'm still really confident they're town. I think Morning is being in character by only leaning towards the read and having a healthy amount of doubt, while it's very in-character for Noraa to be super overconfident about specific reads as town.

Pyro halting the momentum on his own wagon (War and Peace) or at least shifting from it in order to investigate Starcrossed for a supposed ellitell appears town to me. It comes across as a thought he genuinely had and feels is important enough to mention and confident enough to push -- whereas I struggle to find a decent incentive for scum Pyro to do this. Especially cause ellitells are kind of unsavoury but definitely could feel accurate to the user. I wondered if this is a purposeful distraction to a scum wagon but that just doesnt make much sense when he's cutting off his own wagon really (this was before BM)

The other thing i noticed was Pyro going for the full solve including one of his own townleans (without even going over the reasoning until a few posts later). i feel it betrays he's thinking pretty deeply about his reads, certainly more than surface-level takes on each individual player. Pyro definitely has does this in the past, even successfully calling out lots of scum this way, so it doesnt surprise me to see it

Yeah so. I had this thought as well. Then Battle Mage did something that pinged me the other way. I'm not sure if he'll confirm this, but I feel like he's taken on a new persona. At least trying to. I didn't want to approach it however but I felt like an air of frustration. There is some uncanniness in his responses no doubt.

The DK tell that Batsunami keeps talking about doesn't seem like a catch-all. I also don't believe it applies to Battle Mage. Battle Mage in his natural habitat gets himself into a lot of trouble with a good amount of the game. Battle Mage as scum is more reliant on avoiding this.

Well, I initially started to pair the two immediately early. In #78 W+P is already starting to defend BM unprompted. Battle Mage responds to this light defense and says he doesn't like it #88. This prompts a vote from BM around #128. There is a small wagon on W+P, I believe 4 votes. BM comes around to a different vote in #195. The thread veers into other topics.

It's awkward once you take it into account, and what's more even awkward is this:

Since then, BM has affirmed he townread W+P, yet you have W+P never divulging further on the BM read. That tiny instance between the two left no mark on the other, and for someone like BM who is very willing to get into a scrappy argument over reads, why did BM resolve the slot so easily? When I further questioned BM about this, he just kept trying to tell me that he thinks W+P as town, even though he was the one who helped wagon them initially. I could definitely see it like scum interaction where the dissonance between the two is intentional, but can I also just see W+P not substantiating his read and ignoring all the pressure BM has gotten because he's scum. Call it however you want.

Part of me is saying Ircher is better than that, and wouldn't be so gungho on coming to the defense of BM over such an early vote, but it is strange.

Mastina, I don't really put a lot of stock into my reads but I have {5uffering, Gamma} as my top two scumreads at the moment.

I have an idea about who 5uffering is, and the way in which he's playing here doesn't square with how I've experienced town!him playing. His stances just feel weak, and look like a mimic of how he plays as town.

Gamma's pop-in at the BM wagon (something along the lines of "why were people saying he was hammered") without posting anything else feels very scummy. As I recall, he has a slight tendency to address posts in catchup walls as opposed to direct engagement. Please do have a look at these two ISOs.

Pyro is near townlock

for the way he's playing [given he is who I think he is].

simply for Noraa's extreme conviction - and the additional factor that as scum knowing BM was town, I doubt she would've stuck to the whole "BM is being good and towny and therefore is scum" argument through the day.

She's out of her scumrange in terms of solving and proactiveness.
Her continued push on Batsunami is also one she doesn't make as scum if she thinks Batsunami is actually upset. She only continues prodding Batsunami if she thinks she's faking the anger, which means she isn't informed of her alignment.

First off, can you explain exactly what is meant by “performative”? Does it mean fake? I’m not extremely familiar with 5uffering’s meta to tell you conclusively if they’re town or scum. However I do see a lot more IioA than I’d like from them.

However they straight up claimed vanilla cop when I demanded they claim. something that we have as of yet to see from W & P.

I’m also thinking we might possibly be seeing a town teddy in this game and I’m really vibing with the desert alt.

The way I use performative is when someone makes a post and gives thoughts to look towny and for the purpose to be townread, rather than them being natural thoughts they want to share with everyone.

This at least rules out one player for me.
